BEING THE WIFE OF HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW
CHAPTER 65. DIED
The clock on the new wall shows at 3am when a call comes into the phone. The girl woke up and took the flat object from the top of the nightstand. A name inscribed with the word 'mother' clearly seemed to fill the screen of the phone that was lit.
"Mother? What's calling me at this hour?" muttered Kian.
Out of curiosity the woman immediately raised the call.
"Hallo Ma'am," said Kian.
"Lian, your father son. Your father!" the mother panicked from behind the phone.
He jumped up and sat on the bed. Kian's movement which suddenly managed to make Rama who was lying next to him also woke up. The man was sitting next to Kian but he did not immediately ask. He kept watching his wife talking to his mother on the phone.
"What's wrong, ma'am?" ask Kian again.
"Lian, your father was taken to the hospital" the mother replied sobbing.
"What's? But how can it be? What's your sick dad?" ask Kian. Seeing the wife who looked panicked, Rama rubbed her back gently.
"Which hospital, Mom?" ask Kian again. Tears have started to flow. The figure of a man who had always existed stood upright as the crutch of his life, now struggling between life and death.
"Good ma'am, I'll be there soon." And closed that call. With tears in her eyes, this woman stared at Rama. As if to understand what the wife wants, without rambling again the man immediately accompanied Kian to the hospital that had been said by the mother.
Along the way, Kian continued to be agitated. His mind was really not calm. He was afraid that his father would not survive. But so far, he still does not know what causes the father to have a heart attack and must be rushed to the hospital these nights.
Sometimes Rama's eyes glanced to the side where the wife was. One hand held the wheel and one hand tried to hold Kian's hand. The woman also looked.
"Calm down, everything will be fine" said Rama calming. But the problem was that those words really had no effect at all on Kian.
"Can we go faster?" asked Kian in between his sobs.
"Darling, this is fast. This is a car not a jet. Patience yes. Soon we will also arrive at the hospital" said Rama. Even more nodded. The girl's eyes returned to the side of the car.
A few moments later, the car driven by Rama had arrived at the hospital parking lot. Kian immediately went down and intended to run inside but Rama quickly pulled the woman's hand.
"What else is it?" asked Kian in a very panicked tone.
"Return your breath, calm down. We really want to see the condition of the father immediately but you also have to realize that in your stomach there will be our future children. I don't want him to get to why."
Fall silent. His hand touched his own stomach. Yes, she had forgotten that she was pregnant right now. The incident that happened to the father made Kian can not think of anything else but want to immediately meet the father. Even more nodded.
"Sorry," said the woman. Rama smiled.
"Yes it's okay. Come on, let's go in" said Rama and then took his wife to go inside.
"Mom, how did you get a heart attack?" asked Kian after they broke his embrace.
"Last night I got word from the finance department of the company. He said someone had withdrawn money from the company's bank of 500 million" explained the mother.
"What?" Kian and Rama spoke together. Both of them knew who had done it.
"Mom doesn't know who did this. I've already dropped and I have to take her to the hospital."
Kian and Rama looked at each other. In their eyes they agreed not to tell their suspicions to the mother before they had solid evidence. A few minutes later a doctor came out of the IGD room. Mother, Kian and Rama immediately approached the doctor.
"How's my husband doing, doc?" ask the mother. The doctor breathed a long breath.
"We have tried our best but we apologize that the patient could not be saved. He's already dead. We are very sorry" said the doctor and left them.
The mother cried and screamed. She ran straight into the IGD room and hugged the husband's body. Outside, he could not move at all. His body seemed to be pecking but tears kept flowing on both his cheeks.
"Honey" call Rama. Then Kian's legs felt very weak. He almost fell but Rama quickly caught him.
"Dear calm. Patience. You must be strong, dear" said Rama and then hugged his wife.
Wept loudly in Rama's arms. Like a child, the woman continued to thrash. With all his might Rama hugged him.
"Dad Mas. Dad." raved Kian.
"Yes dear. I-i know. But you have to be strong. Look at your mother inside more broken than you. He lost his life partner all along. If you continue like this, then who will strengthen your mother?"
"But Mas, dad."
"Sweetie. Ikhlaskan daddy's gone. Maybe this is the best path."
Kian continues to grieve remembering the togetherness of himself with his father. How does that man continue to love him. Sometimes the father defends himself more than his twin brother Lian. And the most painful thing for Kian is that his father died while he was exchanging identities with Lian. And the father doesn't know what really happened. The father did not even know she was pregnant.
Kian had planned to tell the good news to his entire family if he and Rama visited them next week. Who would have thought if it was too late. The father left without knowing anything about his twins. And Kian was very sorry about that.
Rubbing her tears. He tried to strengthen himself even though his mind felt very broken. With the help of her husband, Kian walked slowly to the mother who was still crying hugging her husband's body. The milestone in the family is gone. And now all the family members are experiencing anxiety.
