BEING THE WIFE OF HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW

BEING THE WIFE OF HIS BROTHER-IN-LAW
CHAPTER 9. PHRASES

PRANGS…..

The sound of a broken glass resounded loudly echoing in one of the rooms in Grandpa Bimo's house. That morning, Kian who saw Rama busy with his work since dawn, took the initiative to make a cup of coffee. With a spirit he walked towards the kitchen. Armed with the info he got from the waiter there about how the dose of coffee for Rama, Kian began to move his hands.

A smile accompanied his journey towards the room where Rama was. I hope this cup of coffee can be a good start to their relationship. Although Kian knew it might be difficult because he saw the attitude of Rama cold, but he never gave up. He is sure that someday he and Rama will have a warm relationship. The coffee is now in his hands.

"The coffee…"

Slowly put the coffee on the table close to Rama. But at the same time, Rama's hand was raised to take the file in front of him. As a result their hands collided and the coffee brought by Kian spilled wet some neat files on the table.

"Ma. ma. sorry Mas. A.. I. I accidentally," He spoke with a wave. His hand grabbed the tissue on the nightstand and then wiped the wet table with the coffee. Then he again picked up a tissue when his eyes saw that some of the coffee had fallen on Rama's white shirt.

"Stop... What have you done?" Rama snaps. He stood up and grabbed the tissue that was still in Kian's hands and rubbed it into the shirt he was wearing.

The man's anger grew when he saw that the coffee water was wetting all his important files.

"See what you've done? Are you deliberately trying to destroy my company?" said Rama while glaring towards Kian. Making the girl bow with a trembling body.

"Do you know that this is a very important file. Last night I prepared this all because I'm going to use it for a meeting with my grandfather and the clients today. And you simply smashed it," snapped Rama.

"But I'm really, really accidentally. It was a hand that rose and.." Kian's speech was cut off.

"Oh so you blame me? That so?"

"That's not what I mean, Mommy."

It's getting more and more scared. Rama's glaring gaze, the snapping from the man actually made himself want to cry. Even now the water droplets had started to fall in the corner of his eyes.

"This is the second day that you're staying at Grandpa's house and you've ruined my job. Are you not sane?"

Rama continued to speak in a high tone. He did not care about the woman in front of him who had been flooded with tears due to his actions.

"I'm sorry, Mas. I just wanted to give you coffee. That's it," Kian said in between her tears.

"But I never asked you to make me coffee, did I?"

"I just…."

"And stop acting like a wife. I don't like it" shouted Rama and now Kian looked up at Rama.

Rama grabbed both of Kian's arms and squeezed them tightly. He stared intently at the woman's netra then spoke calmly but with great emphasis.

"Look! You are only the grandson-in-law of Grandpa Bimo. But not my wife!"

DEG…

His heart stopped when he heard the expression of the man in front of him. Is he kidding? But the glare of his sharp eyes did not imply a lie or a joke in it. So this is serious?

Kian's mind kept spinning trying to digest what words came out of Rama's lips. He knew that they were both betrothed to each other but he did not expect that Rama would make a large wall between them. Kian had thought, although the marriage bond did not start with an introduction but it seems like they can get to know each other after marriage, right? Now if Rama has said this, then what should he do?

Rama threw Kian's body back a few steps.

"Grandfather who has forced me to bond with you. He never asked me what I thought of this. All she wanted was for me to marry the granddaughter of her best friend. Then how can I accept you as a part of my life if I just refuse with this marriage?"

Kian is still silent.

"Since I met you, none of you has been able to attract my attention. Neither you nor your sister can make me fall in love at first sight or make me feel grateful to have been betrothed by Grandpa. And even until now, I've never admitted that marriage exists. So don't ever expect me to treat you like a husband to a wife."

He then left with his laptop after previously changing clothes first. Rama's steps stopped at the doorstep.

"Once again I stress to you, never act as if you were my wife. Because I never thought you were in my life at all" Rama said without looking at Kian. Then he just left.

It fell on the floor. Hearing all the complaints felt by the man turned out to really make himself weak. All hopes of him being able to establish a closer relationship with Rama must be dashed before it starts. Then what should he do now?

Implied an evil thought appears in the brain Kian. Does he have to ask that this relationship end? Because this relationship is useless if Rama does not want to open his heart so that he can enter. And free also this marriage bond continues to exist if Rama himself has convinced himself if this relationship never existed. Even though this relationship will continue, will there be certainty if they will be happy?

Kian wiped away the water that had fallen soaked his cheeks. He knew it had nothing to do with him. This marriage is the marriage of the brother that will not affect him at all whatever happens. But why did the words that came out of Rama's mouth make his heart so sick?

Drowning, Kian tried to stand up. His shoulders still looked up and down and sobs were still heard there. As the woman turned around about to close the door, she was surprised to see Grandpa Bimo standing there staring at her.

"Grandfather…"
