7 - Localized Amnesia.

After a week of continuing to be at home, today is the time for Angga to check control to the doctor at the hospital.

It's Monday morning. Where Damia took the time to go home to her parents on Saturdays and Sundays to visit and update both parents and take more clothes to take back to the house Angga. Damia with Angga and her mother went out of the house to wait for an online taxi that had been booked. When the taxi arrived, the three took a car to get to the hospital.

It's not that at Angga's house there's no car. However, because some families were outside the city, the driver who worked was comforted. Usually it is the Angga who will use and drive the car at home. However, because it was not long to recover from illness after an accident, for a while the mother forbade Angga to drive a car.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the three got out of the taxi after paying travel rates and immediately entered the hospital to queue before entering the control room for a consultation with a doctor.

Angga was pensive to try to remember something, but his efforts still did not bear fruit. It seemed like his currently lost memory was still unable to recover in the near future.

At that time, the nurse who mentioned the queue number called out the name of the man.

"Patch number 8 under the name Angga Purnomo Saputra!"

"Female, it's time we enter," said Mama Yuli who immediately broke the daydream of the son.

"Yes, Ma," said Angga who returned from his daydream.

When Angga and Mama Yuli enter the control room, Damia follows behind the child and mother.

As Angga and Mama Yuli sat facing the doctor, Damia stood beside Angga to accompany him during the consultation.

"Patient Angga, how's it going?" ask the doctor while carrying a history report and a list of patient complaints while being treated at the hospital.

"Good, Doc. I feel very healthy" Angga replied

Angga could only shake his head in exchange for an answer to the question from the doctor.

"How is this, Doc? Actually what is the reason my child can lose memory when it looks is his good and mediocre condition? When will my child's memory recover?" ask Mama Yuli

"According to the period on the memory of the current Angga patient, it is true if the patient suffers from memory loss that is temporary and partial. In this type of amnesia, the patient cannot remember anything that happened in a certain period or anything about a person or some people. Usually, the lost memories are related to certain traumas" said the doctor

In this condition, when the patient is under stress and depression is quite severe, coupled with trauma after an accident due to a hard impact on the head, the, memories related to the cause can be blocked as a form of self-defense" explains the Doctor

"Amnesia occurs when memory function does not work properly without structural brain damage or neurobiological causes. What happens to sufferers is that the memory is still there, but stored very deep in one's mind and cannot be remembered. However, the memory can reappear by itself or after being triggered by something that is around the person.This amnesia occurs in a short time and the memory can return suddenly. Memory recovery can also occur on its own, after being triggered by something in its environment or through therapy" continued the doctor

"Amnesia due to stress, it's impossible. Is that really true?" tanya Angga muttered as he kept trying hard to recall.

"Don't be too forced to recall. If the patient will feel more stress and lost memories even more difficult to return. Or it will even worsen the situation with increasing part of the memory that will be lost" said the doctor

However, it feels like impossible if he experiences amnesia just because of stress. Has he had any problem so long that he inevitably and unconsciously buries in a memory as a form of self-defense? Angga who keeps trying hard to remember back to ignore the warnings from the doctor and instead make him a headache.

Angga held his head which hurt. The pain felt when he had an accident began to return without being able to remember the incident before the accident occurred.

All those inside the doctor's control room kept calling Angga's name, but the man remained unmoved despite sitting in both eyes open while holding his head. My mother was panicking.

"What now, Doc?" ask Mama Yuli
