Need a Friend

Tong ....

The sound of a room bell being pressed by someone. Retha turned off the stove he just started. He rushed to the door to open it.

"Excuse me, I was told to bring this stuff here" said a hotel maid handing Retha's bag.

"Thank you, Mum." Retha received the bag and closed the door again.

Bara's words turned out to be no joke. The man wanted to invite her to stay in the hotel room. There is nothing Retha can do but accept. Bara has paid him in exchange for Zack. He tries to shake off his turmoil and resume the delayed cooking show.

The refrigerator and kitchen in the hotel room mostly contain processed instant food. There is still a little green mustard and carrots that he can cook srvarai main menu mix fried noodles that will be made. Cooking is not difficult for him. Because his mother had died a long time ago, inevitably he must be able to replace the role of the mother at home.

"Oh, Mr. Bara is done." Retha put the results of her cooking on the table then approached Bara who had just come out of the bathroom.

"Stop! Don't grab!" Bara gives the code so that Retha does not approach him.

Rethah stopped the move. He wondered why Bara chose to walk with his stick when he only intended to help. Retha was a bit worried because Bara was very long just to change clothes. He was worried that something would happen inside.

As Retha was about to help Bara sit on the chair, the man again refused her. Making Retha confused herself as to why the man had suddenly been so strict with her. "I'm sorry, sir. I'm just making fried noodles with potluck ingredients."

She looked at the food in front of her. Although using makeshift materials, it looks quite attractive and appetizing. Processing noodles combined with shrimp, sausage, meat, and vegetables that make the composition of the color attractive.

Bara took a little of his dish with a fork using his left hand. The food that the woman made tasted as good as her expectations.

"What if I help you feed you?"

Bara glanced towards Retha. "You think I'm a child?" resounding.

"It's not just children that need to be fed, sir. Sick people are also naturally fed especially the right hand of the Father is sick."

"So you want to help me take a shower?" said it. Bara really likes to see the change in the face of Retha.

"It seems like you can eat by yourself. Happy eating!" Retha immediately pretended to be busy eating her food. The man always said something that made him regret offering help.

Bara held back the laughter of feeling successful in teasing Retha. "Have your goods been delivered? I called Zack to drop off your things."

"Already, Sir. When you change clothes, someone comes to deliver goods. Surely you're having a hard time, just changing clothes takes a long time."

Bara. He glanced at Retha. The reason that made him stay in the bathroom was in front of him. "If you want to help me change clothes, it might be finished sooner" seduced Bara.

Again Retha made dead fleas with her own words. According to him, the talks that Bara did always lead in the direction of int1m. While he was ashamed himself to be found out about his job and survive with a man he respected as one of the guardians of the school. He refocused on finishing his meal.

After the meal, Retha helped change the bandage in Bara's hand. At first, the man refused to be helped. However, due to hardship, he finally gives up on Retha helping him.

"So you left the teaching job to do this job?" ask Bara.

Retha feels sad if she remembers having to ask for leave for such a job. "Really, Sir. I asked for a week's leave to come here" Retha replied as she cleaned the injured area in Bara's arm.

"Kenzo's a good boy. At first he loved to daydream and be alone, not wanting to play with his friends. Now, it looks like he's been a lot more cheerful and willing to hang out with his friend."

"It must be because of his kind teacher" Bara praised.

Rethas just smiled. "I'm so burdened to get such praise with my work like this."

"This is your personal matter, it has nothing to do with your obligations at the foundation. You remain a good and responsible teacher."

"You're too positive about other people."

Bara does not want to further interfere with Retha's life. Everyone has a good and bad side. Just like Silvia who he still could not completely forget. People have always regarded Silvia as a bad woman, having the heart to look up to her husband and son. Silvia was a good mother to Kenzo.

He knew his wife's struggles during pregnancy, childbirth, and even nurtured Kenzo for two years early in his life. Sometimes he feels himself bad. Due to his over-achieving ambitions for success, he had unknowingly broken Silvia's heart, leaving her feeling lonely and finally deciding to leave.

He looked back at Retha's face which was still busy replacing the bandage in her hand. His treatment was so gentle and careful, it made him feel noticed. His mother's words were not entirely wrong. It seems that he really needs someone to take care of him. Staying with someone by her side made her sense of loneliness disappear.

"Is your salary at the foundation so small?" ask Bara.

Rethah knows where the question is going. "His salary is enough for my daily life, sir. I just felt hard because my father was in debt. As a child, I tried to help ease my father's burden."

"My sister who is still in High School also happens to be in need of a lot of money for her school affairs. Obviously, I need money not to spend or indulge in a lifestyle. It just so happened that I was making a lot of money in the near future until I was overwhelmed."

"Have been a business to borrow here and there until the foundation money I had borrowed, I finally had to choose a job like this."

I listened to Rethah's story carefully. He was moved by that story. As it turns out, Retha has the burden of fulfilling her family's dependents.

"Can you help me get me the medicine that's in there?" Bara pointed towards the cupboard where the medicine was stored.

Retha walked towards the place Bara pointed to. He opened the closet drawer and took a bottle containing a medicine capsule to give to Bara.

"If my advice, you better get treatment in the hospital or just go home. Work problems can still be postponed, the health of the Father is the most important. You need better care to get well soon."

Bara swallowed two capsules from the container while smiling. "I don't have to worry about that anymore. Now, there are you who will take care of me," he said.
