Meet Dad

Retha walks through a market looking for her father. Actually he was very lazy to get back in touch with people who never want to change, always drunk and gambling. After he paid off his father's debt, he also still doubted that his father would repent.

Usually the father became one of the parking lot in the market. The income is good if only for eating. It's just that, because of his hobbies of drunkenness and gambling, his money never made it home. Even the father still asked Ratha for allotment of money to buy cigarettes.

Without her father, she could have been married to Bara. He also did not want to involve his personal life with his father. He was worried that Bara would change his mind after seeing his father's condition was very chaotic. Moreover, his father is now a shameless figure, it could continue to use Bara.

"Well debt! Keep debt! If you don't have money, don't play gambling! Just want to get rich quick!"

As Retha had expected, the new arrival had already seen her father being beaten up by some people. Looks like they're his father's drunken and gambling buddies. Seeing such a thing, he wanted to feel angry, but on the other hand he also felt sorry.

"Indeed this guy's job is constantly owed! Sleep too! Don't pay anymore! Let's just beat him to death!"

The four men again kicked the body of Pak Agus who had fallen on the ground.

"Feel this!"

"Felt!"

Rethah immediately ran closer to there. "Stop!" his yell.

They immediately stopped, looking in surprise at the woman who was approaching them.

"Who is this? Any pretty people come by here?" asked a long-haired, big-bodied man with a dragon tattoo on his left arm.

"Is he not Si Agus' son?" sahut thin man with piercing on the nose.

"Oh, Agus has a beautiful son too!" the man with the head of the plontos spoke.

"Would you like to join us, sweet lady?" ask the gondrong.

"I'm sorry, we beat up your father. You see, he owes a lot but doesn't want to pay" said the skinny man.

"But if you want to accompany us to have fun, your father's debt we consider paid off, really." the bald man looked at Retha with his mesvm gaze.

"Hows it? Are you ready?" ask the gondrong again.

"How much does my father owe?" ask Retha. Although he was actually scared, he tried to remain calm against those thugs.

The four men looked at each other and laughed. He underestimated Retha who asked about her father's debt.

"If in total, about ten million! Do you want to pay off?" challenge Si Gondrong.

"lik! My debt to you is two million, damn it!" exclaim Mr. Agus.

"Shut up!" The Gondrong kicked Mr. Agus' body again.

"Your father did not want to pay his debts for a long time. So, two million could be ten million. That's the interest calculation."

"Retha, what are you here for? Go there!" expel Pak Agus.

Retha opened her bag, took out a brown ampoule that was inside. "This is the money you asked for. Please get out of here and leave my father" Retha said. He gave the envelope to Si Gondrong. The other men all approached Si Gondrong to look at the contents inside the envelope. They were amazed because it contained all the red sheets of money.

"Well, this old man has a rich son. Why is he so bad here?"

"I guess he's just a burden old man. Poor kid's got parents gambling hobbies and drunkenness."

"Sorry, can you leave us now?" pinta Retha's.

"Of course, Miss pretty. Thank you for the money. Take good care of his father. He's a trouble maker."

The gondrong smiled widely after getting his money. He ordered the others to go from there with him. Now, the rest of Retha and her father are silent to each other.

"What are you here for? Didn't you say you didn't care about your father anymore?" said Mr. Agus while throwing his face away.

"If I don't care about Dad, there's no way I'll make it to this place. Also, I have to pay my debt."

"You think I'm glad you came to help? Your father can handle matters on his own."

"If it can solve the problem on its own, why come to see Edis every day and ask for money from him?"

Mr. Agus did not expect that Retha would know his habits. "Dad there just to see Edis. Because of you, I'm living apart from your sister! I never asked for money from Edis. He who is kind gives money to his father, because he is kind and loving to his father. Unlike you who could throw away his own father!"

Hearing her father's words was quite hurtful to Retha. Everything he has done has been in vain. He fought desperately for his sister and father to the point of putting aside his own happiness. But, his father still considered him a bad boy.

They lost their house, had to work from the contract, all the work of their father. But, the middle-aged man had never confessed if he was guilty. Instead, he always assigns blame to Retha.

"I'm sorry I haven't been able to be a good boy in Dad's eyes. I also hope you can be a good father to us. Please give up your bad habits and be like our old Father. I'm tired of fighting with Dad too."

"You think finding a job is easy now? What you're doing is also part of the effort to get our family back to living well!"

Retha breathed. Facing his father does require extra patience. "Dad, there are no rich people from the results of gambling. It's getting poorer and there's a lot of debt, aren't you aware?"

"You're a kid know what life is about!"

Retha thought his father would not be able to be straightened back out of his mind. He gave up on talking to her. The money Bara just gave him for shopping instead had to run out just to take care of his father.

"Dad, I want to get married" said Retha.

Mr. Agus was rather surprised to hear the words of Retha. "Who are you marrying? Don't choose the wrong partner. You have to find the one responsible."

"I'll take Dad to meet the man who wants to marry me. Do you want to go with me now?"

"You're not ashamed to introduce your father like this?" Agus laughed. "When you can get married without telling your father this. You've always thought of someone's father as useless."

"Because I still respect you."
