Cold Man And Miss Stone

Cold Man And Miss Stone
78. Awaiting

Eleven months later.

"Don't I tell you not to wander around without a guard?" Samuel spoke angrily in a low voice. "I would really tie you to the bedpost if I didn't hear me, Emilia."

Emilia was silent. Can hear the noise of Nine and Dwi who forget their age, playing wars on the television screen with the controller.

"You didn't even listen to me, Ema. Please."

Can't see anything, but Emilia hears Samuel approaching. Touching Emilia's big belly behind her black dress.

"I'm worried about you." Samuel put his forehead on Emilia's stomach. "You can fall or bump or whatever it is if you walk alone. I don't underestimate you, Sweetheart, but this and that are different."

Yes, she was angry that Emilia went to the kitchen alone to fetch water.

That'sallthatis.

Emilia actually doesn't hate it. Maybe because he was used to it. Life without vision makes Emilia inevitably have to rely on the eyesight of others.

Emilia rejected an eye that could be used in place of her damaged eye. Not because of anything. For personal reasons, Emilia felt something was easier in this darkness.

"Don't just shut up."

"Sorry." Emilia reached out to Samuel's face. "I did it on purpose to make you angry."

Of course it's a lie. Emilia was thirsty and she thought of taking her own water because she had memorized every corner of the room in this house.

"I'd be angry in the cruelest way if it had to be." Samuel squeezed his hand. "Don't wander around like a stray cat, okay? Those two guys don't get paid to play games all the time."

Emilia knew the most powerful way to persuade Samuel.

"Let's go to your house. I want to hear Mama tell me."

Obviously Samuel immediately ignored the insignificant incident of 'banned to the kitchen alone even to drink water'.

She held Emilia's hand, leading her way while holding Emilia's stomach as if it were going to spill.

This man has a severe paranoia.

"You feel pain?" ask, for the umpteenth time.

"Sam, the estimated birth is not always correct."

"Then it means three days." Emilia sighed. "He's not gonna escape into space, okay?"

"I just can't wait to see my daughter. Am I wrong?"

"Eitherway. Ask her later if she comes out. Maybe he's tired of hearing you."

Samuel won't laugh. Making Emilia join in with a small laugh, began to climb the terrace stairs which meant they arrived at the residence of Samuel.

Since her pregnancy, Emilia had indeed settled in the headquarters with Nine and Dwi. Samuel's house is too dangerous when Emilia sees nothing. Emilia's left eye was slightly injured. He was very short-sighted, but he decided to blind them both by closing his eyes.

So it's dangerous to roam around a house that has a lot of stairs like this.

"Ma, Emilia misses Mama."

The sound of hasty footsteps immediately sounded. Emilia's body was buried in Samuel's mother's arms.

"My smart daughter, can you still walk? As always, you're awesome."

Emilia sat cautiously on the sofa. "I've spoken to doctors and midwives. Senior will send them today."

"That's a relief," Mama replied happily. "But there's nothing wrong with going on. Mama will help you stimulate later."

"My son may be upset that someone keeps pushing him out."

"My sweetie, don't lure a fight in front of Mama."

Emilia smiled slightly. "Can Mama help me? I want to learn a few things. I feel a little fucked up by hormones."

Because her eyes were not functioning, Emilia asked her mother Mahesa for help to study.

The thing Emilia liked most about her condition was that she was trained to remember what she heard. His brain became more trained to remember since he could not see the writing. Emilia therefore enjoys hearing lessons, especially during pregnancy.

He hoped his son would hear that.

Because honestly, what awaits him is not just Samuel. But also Emilia.
