19. Fire Arena

Ye Suanwu gritted his teeth furiously. Gu Yuena dared to act like that to him, she would not show any mercy!

He dashed towards Gu Yuena with a lightning sword ready to hit. The sky above turned into a cloudy filled with thunder grabbing. He pulled out all the thunder and focused it on the sword to give a fatal attack. As long as Gu Yuena's strength was still beneath her, the girl would not last much longer under the thunder attack.

Unfortunately, Gu Yuena's movements were fast enough to dodge the attack. The fiery whip moved nimbly and slashed at Ye Suanwu from a distance away. Gu Yuena kept her distance as much as possible during her fire attack gliding without having to show the power of a witch. It will be a difficult challenge for him.

Thunder continued to strike, repeatedly attacking Gu Yuena and forming streaks of lightning in the air. Gu Yuena dodged the streaks of lightning, then swung her whip at Ye Suanwu's sword.

Gu Yuena moved in the direction where some of the swords were located, then used her fire to inhibit the movement of the sword, while the other hand held back the attack of Ye Suanwu who had arrived.

Two pressures at once overwhelmed Gu Yuena. The swords slowed down due to the shattered whips and manipulated the energy to exert a slowing effect, but he also could not continue to hold the swords for long.

"Gu Yuena, you've lost!" Ye Suanwu smiled triumphantly while adding to the pressure in order to be able to suppress Gu Yuena completely. The effect of the slowing of the swords will also come off.

"No, I haven't lost." Gu Yuena closed her eyes to prepare for another plan.

Ye Suavnu was unable to resist Gu Yuena's dings, he could only slump through the explosion while protecting his body to stay away from Gu Yuena. Unexpectedly, Gu Yuena's close attack was more extreme and direct. The reason, the girl held her sword directly when it was filled with lightning.

The battle attracted a lot of attention. The servants were very surprised to find out who was fighting during the day. They rushed to call the Duke and others to minimize the occurrence of unwanted things.

The thing is, the culprits of the fight are Ye Suavnu and Gu Yuena!

The speed of thunder was faster than him. He had felt his legs stung many times and had injuries. If it continues like this, it will be defeated.

Gu Yuena continued flying as long as Ye Suanwu chased after. Although it is a bit difficult to control the new wing he wears, but the results are not bad. Only, his speed was still losing.

A fire as red as blood shot out from his hand, thrown towards Ye Suanwu and struck the grabbing thunder. Ye Suanwu's sword attacked several times, while Gu Yuena managed to hold it back and went ashore with a new plan.

It glided at high speed as if falling from the sky. When he was about to reach the center of the circle of fire he made, he instantly burned the entire ring of fire, creating a dangerous sea of fire. Not to forget too, giving the magic circle clandestinely to make its fire spread effectively.

The fire wings were eliminated, while the arena where Gu Yuena was located had been enveloped in flames making Ye Suanwu have to think of a way to not get caught up in Gu Yuena's flames. He had not expected Gu Yuena to be that strong. The fire that devoured this place was no ordinary fire.

Ye Suavnu did not have time to think about it. He formed a lot of thunder and launched it into the fire arena that Gu Yuena had created. Gu Yuena dodged quickly the rain of thunder. He pulled out all the flames in the arena, then gathered them to a single target point, Ye Suanwu.

The magic circle under his feet periodically activated and created a huge wave of flames that shot out. The magic circle was not realized by anyone, including Ye Suanwu due to the aura disguised by the phoenix flames. Gu Yuena was free to use it.

The fire and thunder were repelling each other and exerting tremendous pressure. Gu Yuena continued to try to defend him, but Ye Suanwu's strength was clearly higher so he felt difficulty. Levels five and four differ like steep ravines. Moreover, Gu Yuena had only been a few days up the level.

"Ye Suanwu, I will not lose to you," muttered Gu Yuena.

The fog disappeared slowly, yet Ye Suanwu did not find Gu Yuena at all. There's no way Gu Yuena's dead and destroyed, right? He started to get suspicious, considering how cunning Gu Yuena had been all along.

But the suspicion was too late. A cold and pointed object was stuck right at his neck by someone who suddenly appeared from behind. Ye Suanwu looked at the delicate hand in front of his neck, then slightly looked back.

"As far as you know, lowering your guard before you see the enemy's body is a mistake. Ye Suanwu, you lost because of your own carelessness." Gu Yuena smiled obliquely without letting go of her snare.

Ye Suanwu's face darkened. "I haven't put all my strength into it."

He took out the lightning blade in his hand to stab Gu Yuena, but the cold object was increasingly stuck to his neck until it let out a warm liquid.

Gu Yuena snorted. "That's because you underestimated me. If this is a battlefield, you're dead. Surrender."

"It seems like there is no other choice. Li'er's right, you're dangerous. My mom likes you better." Ye Suanwu saved back his lightning.

"Thank you for the compliment." Gu Yuena smiled completely.

"But that doesn't mean I'm gonna give up." Ye Suanwu grabbed onto Gu Yuena's arm, then twisted his body and was about to make the blade stab Gu Yuena.

But suddenly a flash of light struck, making Ye Suanwu release a grip while Gu Yuena took off her knife. The two of them were forced away from each other before someone finally appeared to mediate.

"What are you doing!" Gu Shan appeared between them with an angry look. He looked at the surroundings that had been destroyed, then saw his daughter and future son-in-law sharply.

Gu Yuan dashed towards Gu Yuena worriedly. He twisted his sister's body to make sure she was okay. But when he saw his sister's palm that was filled with blood and deep wounds, his face turned cold.

"Sister, I'm fine. Just a small wound." Gu Yuena had sensed a cold aura that frightened her. Gu Yuan had never been this angry before, both in his past and present life.

Gu Yuan's gaze was directed at Ye Suanwu with a burning fury. He just sped up and hit Ye Suanwu with a powerful giggle. Streams of thunder started to actively on various sides attacking Gu Yuan, but all of the lightning was instantly shattered by the qi shields that were formed.

"Gu Yuan's! Stop that!" Gu Shan raised his tone. He pulled Gu Yuan's shoulder so firmly that Gu Yuan was willing to let go of Ye Suanwu.

Ye Suanwu coughed in a giggle. Gu Yuan's strength was indeed higher than his. This was his first time seeing Gu Yuan so angry.

"Ye Suanwu, it would be best if you return to the Clan immediately. I will send a letter to the Ye Clan for everything that happens." Gu Shan said firmly. This mess made him angry. It could be that Ye Suanwu made a fuss by attacking Gu Yuena like that.

"Duke Gu, you should be able to see who's wrong here. Gu Yuena hid her strength for a long time and deceived everyone with her weak mask. He even dared to trap me and Li'er. His mind is worse than you think!"

Everything's silent. Gu Yuan and Gu Shan looked at Gu Yuena in shock. This matter, never told Gu Yuena before.

Ye Suanwu snorted in annoyance. He flicked his arm and left with wide strides, feeling humiliated. When crossing Gu Yuena, he looked at her with a sharp gaze.

"Don't be complacent, 'cause you're gonna fall horribly." Ye Suanwu left after whispering that line to Gu Yuena.

Gu Yuena simply remained silent, before finally sighing. At a time like this, he only felt his hands and feet hurt so much because of external injuries.

But as if it was not finished with the matter, Gu Shan now looked at Gu Yuena firmly preparing to interrogate him.

"Since when can you cultivate? Are you really deceiving us?" Gu Shan asked sharply. It was unexpected that Gu Yuena whom he considered understanding would have such evil thoughts.

"Dad, do you trust Ye Suanwu more than I do?" Gu Yuena acted like a sad child.

"Say it clearly!"

"Dad, Gu Yuena is injured. Can you talk about it later?" Gu Yuan continued to defend his younger brother. After all Gu Yuena had been going through a difficult time. He regretted not knowing.
