I'm leaving Tokyo. Trusting my body to the Mino that I believe will take care of her. I flew towards Seoul with Yuna who managed to find me.
I went back into the salon. Painted my hair color to dark brown. Buy a new outfit that is a little similar to Umji in everyday life. Yuna just looked at me confused by everything I did in a hurry. I'm sure he wanted to ask, but hesitated where to start.
"So will Miss meet Mr Jun?" yuna asked to drive beside me.
I rented a car to travel. There are a lot of places I have to go, one of which is to the publishing company I work for.
"Is Jun still here?" tanyaku.
Yuna nodded. He still looked at the road ahead. "Yes, Mr. Jun will be home tomorrow."
"What is he really doing in Seoul?"
"The secretary who called me when I just arrived in Tokyo said there was business and met his friend."
"I forgot, you're not American, are you? Seen from the face of Asia that you have," I said quite curious about the origin of the country Yuna actually.
"I'm Korean. Moved ten years ago to America."
I let out a sigh of relief. "Why did I ask you so long?" I said in Korean.
Yuna looked a little surprised, maybe she knew that I grew up as Hana in America and my Korean was very good at her pronunciation.
"Use Korean only if we're just the two of you. Never forget history" I reasoned. Although I was fluent and already felt connected to Yuna using English, but I was afraid that my true identity would disappear.
Remember Umji, you're not Hana!
After taking thirty minutes of travel, I finally arrived in front of the publishing company. Yuna parked outside the building, instead of in the basement.
"Wait a minute here. There's someone I want to meet" I said, then got out of the car.
I saw Yuna was unsuspecting about my arrival to the publishing company. Maybe because of this Korea so consider that Hana who is also of Korean descent does have important business. It was different when he first saw my appearance in Japan.
I walked into the lobby. The tip of my lips smiled to recognize starting from the security guard and some employees who passed by. The reason I came to this place was to meet Jini. I want to make sure Mino's recommended novel script is really like Hana's life.
"Where are you going?" said an employee I knew from the printing department against me when I was about to enter the room of the novel or fiction section. His name is Taeho
I opened my sunglasses. Makes Taeho smile at a glance.
"It turns out you're Umji. I thought you were in Japan?" tanyanya tried to remember.
I smiled in reply, "There's a sudden affair so I come home here."
Mino said back to me when I was leaving the hospital. Mino deliberately kept the incident that happened to me a secret to the company, afraid to make it a problem for me Umji. Where I as Umji take a walk during business hours. Mino is very kind and understanding, but still my heart cannot like him like a woman to a man.
"All right, I'm ahead."
After Taeho's departure, I went straight inside. Several pairs of eyes stared in wonder as if asking the same thing as Taeho earlier. But I just threw a smile at them and headed straight for Jini's desk.
"Umm?" jini looked surprised.
Jini looked at me from top to bottom. "You look different" he said, not taking his eyes off.
I swallowed spit. Did Jini realize anything? Or has he heard from me about what happened in Tokyo?
"What do you mean?" I pretend to laugh.
"Haircut and .. your style of dress" Jini said with a laugh. "But I like it! Uh, why are you here?"
"Oh that, there's other business telling me to come back here" I said in a reassuring tone.
"alone? Without Mino?" ask Jini to investigate. As usual Jini with a high level of curiosity to the news of Mino.
I nodded hard. "Yes, and .. I want to ask for back the script I gave you first."
Jini's eyebrows shot up taking the script from her drawer. "This? You must want to ask Mino this. How about I just?"
Jini lifted the script with a smile as if she got an idea to be able to establish communication with Mino again.
Jini looked sullen as well as annoyed at me. As if his thoughts might justify that I also like Mino.
"Oh yeah, Mino asked if you want ole-ole," I told a lie. It's not good to confront Jini now. I need some information about what he said that I was in a coma for a year and then I woke up and I was in a coma again. My only memory is that I was in a coma for two years.
Jini's eyes widened. "really? Tell me whatever he thinks is special" he said girang.
Mino is not the type who invites enmity with her former lover. Although he had broken up with Jini, but for work, the man did not hesitate to establish communication with Jini.
While Jini was reluctant, citing self-esteem. Basic woman with all her prestige, but also misses.
"Alright, I have to head somewhere else," I said trying to leave Jini without suspicion. In my hand is a script and I am ready to read it.
Jini nodded briefly. My body slowly turned around with a triumphant look on its face, yet it did not last long.
I was surprised when I saw Jun. The man just walked into this room, not alone, he was with the CEO of this publishing company. More precisely with the subsidiary owners of this publishing company.
I immediately turned back around then got a confused look by Jini. However it was only a short while before Jini seemed to be mesmerized by Jun's good looks.
"Who is the man with Mr. Janghyuk?" jini said the name of the CEO of the publishing company.
I ignored Jini's words. Busy looking for another way out of this room. But it will be difficult, as Jun and Janghyuk are standing near the entrance.
But because I have been working here for a long time, I tried to go through the manuscript storage warehouse connected to the magazine section that has an exit near the elevator.
I walked slowly while glancing at Jini who was approaching Jun through tailing towards Mr. Ryeol who had walked out of his room.
"Is that you Umji?" exclaimed Mr. Ryeol whose voice I knew very well.
There are ten steps to the warehouse. I had to turn my body with my eyes closed.
My eyes immediately caught the figure of Jun who was coming to look. His face paled as I thought. Of course she was shocked to see my face which the whole room recognized as Umji, but by her was Hana.
"Come here," continued Mr. Ryeol with a cue to get closer.
I bite my lower lip and start to walk closer. Standing right beside Jun who was still looking at me with his shocked eyes.
"Didn't you go to Japan with Mino?" ask Mr. Ryeol.
"She has business here" Jini replied willingly and then winked one eye, a sign that she was helping me.
"Oh the team that left with the film production team?" timpal Janghyuk's.
Mr. Ryeol nodded briefly. "True, Umji is one of them."
"Does this woman really work here?" ask Jun in Korean.
Well, the first time I heard Jun speak Korean, even though I admit his accent is very American.
"Right, he's been working here a long time. About four years," replied Mr. Ryeol without hesitation.
I can breathe freely for now. But I would be crazy if after this Jun would find out about the whereabouts of Hana whom Yuna said Jun knew that I had left America. Not to mention when finding out about me, Lee Umji.
I glanced at Jun at a glance. Then smile politely. Trying to show the look on my face that I really just saw it for the first time.
"Oh Mr. Ryeol, introduce him to Jun, my college friend back in America," Janghyuk told me that Yuna's friend was Janghyuk.
"Alright, excuse me first," I said carefully.
I see Mr. Ryeol has nodded, a sign of letting me go now. But as soon as it turned around, a hand pulled me in.
I turned to find Jun's sharp gaze that still couldn't believe what he was seeing at the moment. His wife Hana, was beside him as Umji.
"What's your name again?" ask her with narrowed eyes.
"Lee Umji," I replied without hesitation, looking at him fixedly.
