I opened my eyes after I felt like I was asleep for a long time. But I was shocked to realize that the room I was in right now was very different from before I fell asleep. I'm even sure that this room isn't a hospital room. A room in a house.
Is everything just a dream? This transfer. A completely different atmosphere. Suddenly the door opened. The figure of Jun wearing casual clothes like never before seemed formal.
"You awake?"
Jun got closer and sat down on the bed, which I realized was twice as big as mine in the apartment. He smiled and held my hand. I reflexively pulled my hand. Not used to holding. Maybe before I was still confused so he was free to hold it.
"Wake up, let's have breakfast."
Jun went on not pushing the hand I just pulled. I chose to follow in his footsteps. I wear feather-coated sandals that are available next to the bed. I watched room after room as I walked towards the breakfast. Forehead frowned as soon as Jun passed the long dining table with a chair that was probably around ten.
How surprised I was to see a round table on which there are various kinds of food that I recognize is Korean food. The dining table is on the outside of the house. If I notice this is the part of the house that has three floors with large pillars.
The lush trees with fish ponds that have fountains make the atmosphere so beautiful and feel healthy. I was not ceaselessly admiring in my heart.
"Sit down."
"I deliberately prepared Korean food, considering you said something about Seoul yesterday."
I don't know if I should feel overwhelmed or surprised. This doesn't seem like a dream anymore as I originally thought. How can dreams continue and stop.
"Thank you" I said briefly.
My stomach is starving. Be careful to taste the soup that is near my nasal bowl. It feels really typical of a Korean made like in an office cafeteria.
Aye! I was in the cafeteria with Jini. After returning home from the office I had time to visit the minimarket and went home to work on some short scripts to be translated and then fell asleep even before ten o'clock at night.
"You okay?" june asked, aware that I was daydreaming. Think about what happened in Seoul.
"Is my name really Hana?" tanyaku squinted.
Jun was silent for a moment. "Yes, Kim Hana."
"Are you confused or not remembering?"
I took a long breath. "How am I here? Wasn't I in the hospital before?" ask me not to discuss Jun's question that I myself already understand very well. I was confused as Umji and remembered nothing as Umji, not Hana.
"The doctor says that your thorough examination is normal. Maybe if you don't remember something it's because of the coma effect that's affecting you psychologically."
So it could be said that even the doctor did not know that I was not Hana who had been in a coma all this time. This doesn't make sense. I just can't believe it yet.
"spent your meal. You still need recovery."
After breakfast, Jun took me back to the room. We sat on the sofa in front of the window. The spacious room size complete with a private independent room is very different from my apatemen.
"Do you know that we're married?" june looked at me.
I swallowed spit. I was confused as to what to answer. The answer I give can backfire on my own.
"You said it wasn't in the hospital, that we were married."
Jun sighed furiously, I could see the look on his agitated face. "Have you forgotten about it?"
I did not answer suddenly the door was knocked. Jun gave an order to enter. There was a man wearing a black suit that I knew was also seen in the hospital earlier.
"There's a sending Mr."
"Who's David from?" tanya Jun heard that he did not wait for something to be sent.
I can see even though the name of the man in the suit is David, but it is seen that he is still a typical Asian face, except for some parts of the face such as the light brown eyes, indicates that David has a history of Caucasian descent.
I reflexively followed Jun from behind. Curious about the delivery too. It is better than staying in a room while living your fate.
The wrapped shipment was in the form of a large rectangle without question, I can guess that it was a picture frame or painting.
Jun who was holding the shipment turned to look at me. As if implying in his view that this shipment might be related to Hana. He slowly opened the package by placing it first on the living room sofa.
My eyes were round as soon as I saw that it was a photo complete with a gold frame. It was Jun and Hana's wedding photo!
"This must have been Lee Bona," Jun murmured as he squeezed the package.
Jun approached towards me then hugged me tightly. "Hana, remember whatever happened and what you remember or forget. The truth that I love you."
My chest felt tight with Jun's tight embrace, but somehow my blood rippled at his confession. She loves Hana. The woman whose body is on me right now. How can I explain to him the imprudence of all this?
In Jun's arms I stared at the wedding photo where Hana was wearing a bone white wedding dress. Very beautiful and graceful looking. It was strange to see someone who had a face similar to mine wearing such a wedding dress. But I saw more clearly that Hana wasn't smiling, only Jun did.
What's the matter? Is this a marriage that Hana doesn't want? Then why is this wedding photo like it was just sent, like Jun and Hana just got married a week ago when Hana was in a coma for three years.
Jun took off his embrace then held onto my shoulder while looking at me. "I don't want to force you, but Hana I can't really lose you. Pretty three years, I made it hard to breathe seeing you just lying down."
Jun's eyes glazed over. I'm really in a position of not knowing what to do with her. Then I hugged him back. It's really a very crazy situation.
"Calm down. Everything will be fine" I said in English as before while in Hana's body.
Jun finally brought me back to the room. While the wedding photos he decided to display it in the living room.
"Rest, seeing all these things may weigh on your mind."
When Jun was about to leave, I pulled his hand. "Where are you going?" many spontaneous.
"There's an office job. I'll do it in my room" Jun replied with a smile and then walked out of the room I occupied.
Question after question started to get into my head. I stared at the door Jun had closed. Trying to laugh it out about what really happened.
Why were Jun and Hana's wedding photos sent today?
Is the distance between the marriage and the events that resulted in Hana's coma not much different?
Why does Jun have his own room when he is Hana's husband?
How did Hana get into a coma?
That raging question can only be answered by me with a sigh. I accidentally turned my head and found a dresser. I approached him and reflected there. When I was going back to bed accidentally a small transparent drawer on the dresser caught my attention.
Contains a variety of trinkets such as hair clips, earrings and a ring. I took out a gold-colored ring, watched it closely and guessed that this was originally made of gold. I turned to look at Hana's ten fingers and found a ring had been attached. Possibility of a wedding ring with Jun.
By the time I put back the gold ring I found, I found the key. The key eye is very old-fashioned, unlike the key eye of today. But my eyes opened as soon as I read the key held.
Rose 408's.
Too surprised to read it, I unknowingly dropped the key on the floor. Make a loud noise in the evening. How could this relate to a small notebook that also reads Rose 408. I tried to calm my mind and put everything together again.
One thing came to my mind, that as long as I lived as Umji in Seoul, I never once thought of even remembering Hana. I do my usual activities. Unlike me as Hana who remembers all the things that happened around Umji.
And I began to doubt, that who am I?
