Four months later
Mas Rey stopped the black sports bike we were riding in the parking lot of the gynaecology clinic we had been visiting for the last few months. I got off the bike slowly and handed the helmet to my husband. We entered and waited for the queue, because we had previously registered online.
We sat in one of the waiting chairs at the clinic. Rey suddenly rubbed my enlarged stomach. "Now you're on your mouth, son, have you brought your bike?" Her speech.
I chuckle softly. "It's so cool to use a motor sport." I also struggled on my husband's arm. "Thank you, dear Papa Rey."
"Mas still feels weird as this cravings you, honey." His word.
"Don't Mas, I'm still weird myself. I know for myself the last few months I have never missed watching motoGP. Continued if suddenly accidentally heard the sound of motor sport I was immediately like excited that loh, Mas."
"The point is you ask to buy a sport bike. Don't ask too often to use the motor." He was still inexhaustible while shaking his head.
I chuckle. "Mas knows I never used to use a Vito motorbike to ride around the house complex."
Mas Rey's eyes were wide. "Why did you just say it now?"
"I'm afraid of Mas's eyes like this." I pointed towards his two eyes.
He stopped his angry and surprised expression. "Yes Mas must be worried dong, you are pregnant even want to ride a motor sport?"
"Please don't blame me. If the word Bi Karti anyway, this seems to have something to do with Mas who used to also like motor sport. High School time to college Mas entered the motorcycle club, right? I also love touring and racing. But because Mas never fell, mother so forbid Mas use the motor again. So don't blame me if I'm craving this weird right now."
Mas Rey chuckled softly. "Yes too. I used to love motor sports. If given money with mother, Mas Abisin to snack on motorbike. Until finally after falling, he was banned from playing motorcycles again. Really can't, until the bike Mas sold the same mother."
"Whoa, danger. Moreover, my husband is the youngest child of his favorite Bu Sekar." Jahilku while pinching his cheek with anxiety. Mas Rey can only be silent after getting a prank from me.
Then my name was called. "Mother Danisa Citra Seruni." Call a nurse. We hurried into the examination room.
"Finally it looks like the baby's a girl or a boy." The doctor who examined me looked like a shady.
So did me and Rey. Since a few months ago, we continue to be curious about the type of kel^min of our child. But it seems like the baby in my stomach is still so timid. So she always managed to hide her core every time we checked for pregnancy. But this time her gender finally revealed itself as well.
"Mom and dad want to know now? Or will it be a surprise?"
Maybe the doctor asked because who knew we were going to hold a gender-reveal event.
"Where, honey? Do you want a gender-reveal event?" Ask Mas Rey.
I thought for a moment.
"Will you agree, right?" My toot.
"Mother's gonna come along, baby. Now it's up to you how you want it. I'm also coming along."
Looks like it's gonna be exciting.
But then I remembered Aunt Manda. "Don't use this show like it is, Mas. It doesn't feel good we're all out in the middle of Aunt Manda's condition like that." Sad say.
"We can have the same big family, my dear. Simple, while gathering family. Kayak every first week at the beginning of the month, all the family will usually gather at the mother's house. Well, right then we can have a gender revival event. How's it? You don't have to feel bad about Manda, honey."
Mas Rey would also want to give this kind of happy news to her extended family in an unusual way. In general, the son of Mas Rey is highly anticipated by his extended family, especially my mother-in-law.
I finally agreed. Gender Reveals will be held during family gatherings held this weekend. Held in simple terms, just tell the gender of our baby candidates in a rather special way.
The doctor finally did not mention the type of kel^min our baby to be a surprise for all of us.
That is, the days of my life and Mas Rey's are always filled with happiness now.
Four months ago, Mas Rey divorced Aunt Manda. Inevitably, Aunt Manda accepted it. After that my household, my pregnancy, was all given smoothness and happiness. I am so grateful for everything that happened.
But in the midst of our happiness, I can't stop thinking about Aunt Manda, because now her condition is inversely proportional to mine.
After Mas Rey's divorce, my grandfather decided to bring Aunt Manda back to Bandung. He was hospitalized for a few weeks. Psychically shaken. He had to be closely monitored by a psychiatrist and Sp.Og doctor because of his alarming circumstances.
Luckily too, Vito really proved his point to be responsible for Aunt Manda's pregnancy. He always accompanies Aunt Manda in his bad state. Once a week he goes to Bandung to meet Aunt Manda.
And about a month ago, after the situation of Aunt Manda had been much better, they finally got married.
To help Aunt Manda financially, Mas Rey let the penthouse she gave to Aunt Manda to be sold and the money used for her daily needs. All that we decided because Aunt Manda already has no income, also Vito who still can not make a living because of the busy college.
Such a different life between me and Aunt Manda made me slowly forgive them. There is no reason to hate Aunt Manda and Vito after seeing how they live.
Moreover, until now Aunt Manda still refused to meet me and also Mas Rey. Psychiatrist who handles Aunt Manda also said, he should be kept away from stressors that will make his psychic back unstable. Finally I could only ask my mother how her health was progressing.
The next day, while having lunch, Fina and I accidentally saw Vito enter the University cafeteria. On campus, we never talked again. The last time I spoke to her was at her wedding about a month ago.
"Nis, the Vito looks thinner, doesn't he?" Tanya Fina looked over.
"Yes. His face doesn't look fresh either." My words agree.
We saw Vito had just picked up rice and side dishes at a food stall. Then he sat down on one of the chairs and ate his food alone.
"What I heard, he now has no friends in the faculty. There are still a lot of people talking about him." Fina iba.
"Because he married Aunt Manda?" My toot.
"Yes. People still talk about him. They often say Vito dapet karma from his behavior playing with aunt. Finally many children who became the target of the Stefan so on the retreat after already know the events of the Vito."
"Good, this incident is a lesson and a warning for others." I said with my eyes still watching the tall, thin figure.
Out of pity, I finally decided to approach him.
"Nis, where are you going?" Fina asked as I got out of my chair.
"Start." I said as I approached the table occupied by Vito.
"Hi, Vit." Sapaku sat in front of him. His face was shocked when he saw me. "May I sit here?"
"Can." He spoke briefly while continuing his meal.
The plate only contained rice and scrambled tempeh. Instantly I felt more and more compassion.
"Do you eat that same?" Me ask carefully.
"Yes. I have to be frugal, let me have the cost for the Jakarta-Bandung roundabout every week." He answered without looking at me.
"Oh, that..." My heart was filled with hearing his explanation. "How are you?" My toot.
A hint of smile was present on his increasingly tapered face. "Yes, just gini."
"Lo kurusan." Sympathy comments.
Vito glanced at me. "I didn't think you were watching me. I don't think you'll ever want to talk to me again."
"That's four months since the incident. Yes, I'm still angry with you."
Instantly Vito fell silent and only played his rice which was still a little. "Thank you, Nis. I can rest easy now that you're not really mad at me anymore." Say it sincerely.
"Saturday I will make a gender reveal event, lo the same Aunt Manda dateng yes. The only ones that come are family." My invitation.
Vito did not answer. He grabbed a glass of water on the right side of his plate, then drank it. "I can't take Manda to see your husband's family again, Nis. He's still not stable."
I was a little stunned by Vito who now calls the name of Aunt Manda just 'Manda', without aunt.
"Where is he now, Vit?"
