Loss of Evidence

For a while, the two policemen only drew sketches of the accident according to what Gintani said. After that, they went to the hospital to look for evidence.

"Good day, sir. Can we help you?" ask one of the front office staff.

"Can we meet the manager at this hospital?" pinta was one of those cops.

"In the meantime, Sir!" The front office clerk contacted the manager's office. Soon, he asked one of the security guards to take the two policemen to the manager's office.

The security guard knocked on the manager's door.

Coming in!" Someone's orders from inside the room.

The security guard opened the door. "Excuse me, Sir! Outside there are guests from the police. He said he wanted to meet you" said the manager politely.

The hospital manager frowned.

"Would they come here?" The hospital manager asked.

"Wow, I don't know, sir. Do I need to ask?" ask the security guard.

"The security guard went outside to call the police. Shortly after, the two policemen entered the manager's office.

"Good day, sorry to interrupt the timing" one of the police said.

"It's okay, sir. Can I help you?" ask manager.

"Look, Sir. We're going to check the CCTV in front of this hospital. Please cooperate" said the police officer named Satyo.

The hospital manager frowned. CCTV, did not yesterday afternoon the police have secured the CCTV footage? the inner manager.

"How, Sir? Can you help us?" ask the police again.

"I'm sorry, sir. But, didn't yesterday afternoon the police took the CCTV footage?" The hospital manager asked back.

Now, it was the turn of the two policemen who frowned.

"You don't mess with us!" said the police. His voice sounded unfriendly.

For God's sake, I'm not kidding, sir. Yesterday afternoon, two policemen came here to check the CCTV in our hospital. And the two policemen have secured evidence of our CCTV footage" the hospital manager replied.

"How could the police come yesterday afternoon to this hospital? We ourselves just received a report of this traffic accident this morning" the police replied.

"But I'm not lying, sir! You can ask yourself to the supervisory section of the CCTV center at this hospital. Come on, I'll show you the room."

The manager invited the two policemen to meet security guards in the CCTV surveillance room. Along the way, the police asked several questions about the traffic accident two days ago.

"Sir, they are from the police who want to see the footage of the hit-and-run incident" the manager told security guards of the CCTV control room.

"Well, wasn't yesterday afternoon taken by the police to be evidence?" the security guard was surprised.

The two policemen looked at each other again. "Please don't play games with the police. Don't you know if you could be charged with giving false testimony?" the police said it was firm.

Now, the two policemen were staring at the hospital manager. "really?" ask Mr. Setyo.

The hospital manager nodded. "True sir, yesterday at about five in the afternoon, there were two policemen who came here. They asked for CCTV footage from the cameras we installed in the front and right corners of the hospital. Since I thought they were the ones investigating the traffic accident that caused our best doctor to die, I drove them to this room" the manager replied.

"Did they show you a warrant like this?" One of the police officers asked while showing a police check warrant.

The hospital manager shook his head.

"Ish, why are you so careless? They did not show a warrant for the examination. Did they tell the police where they were coming from?" ask Mr. Setyo.

The manager shook his head.

"Why can you rashly trust a self-styled cop like them?" ask Mr. Setyo with an upset tone.

"I'm sorry sir, but we don't know if they're fake cops ourselves."

The manager tried to defend himself. The defense that was only greeted by the angry decak of the police. Not getting any evidence, the two policemen left the hospital.

Mr. Jaya immediately contacted Mr. Jamal and asked to come to his room.

"You're calling me, sir?" ask Mr. Jamal as soon as he arrives at his boss's room

"Prepare car! Right now we have to meet with Hanzel" said Mr Jaya, leaving his study

"But what's wrong, sir. Why rush?" ask Mr. Jamal, offset the steps of Mr. Jaya.

Mr. Jaya stopped his steps. He stared intently at his assistant.

"All the evidence is gone!"
