Acknowledge the Truth

Everyone was shocked to hear the screams of a man. They turned towards the man who was stepping firmly towards the committee table.

"Excuse me, my real Papa is the Princess. If you don't believe me, you can ask her directly to Mama Putri, or to the man Om recognized by my son. So, can my son still run this race?" argha asked with emphasis.

The committee was stunned to hear the confession of Argha. For a moment they stared at Gintani.

"Is it true what he said, Miss Gintan?" ask one of the organizers to Gintani.

I don't want to disappoint his daughter. Gintani nodded his head. Argha looked triumphantly smiling. Alex snorted in annoyance at the grim smile on Argha's face. As for the Princess, she just stared confusedly at those adults.

After getting certainty about who the new man came, finally the committee again allowed the Princess to enter the race. Although feeling confused, but it is not denied if the Princess is very happy because she can follow this race.

The princess ran over to Argha. A moment later, he hugged Argha. "Thank you, Om," whispered the Princess in Argha's ear.

Argha smiled happily getting a warm hug from the child. Although she was a little disappointed that the Princess still called her Om. But all of that doesn't matter. Slowly Argha will win the Princess' heart. And someday, the little girl will call him Papa, thought Argha.

Finally, the cooking competition began. The atmosphere of the school grounds looks crowded. The father and son are in a race to give the best results. They seem solid playing their respective roles. So too with Argha and the Princess. Sometimes the father and son joked with each other by throwing flour into each other's faces.

The sound of the twang of the spatula that collided with the pan of each participant, further adding to the atmosphere became crowded. The mothers shouted and clapped boisterously giving encouragement to the child and her husband. Maybe only Alex and Gintani are staring at the pair of father and son.

Alex could feel a ray of happiness from the two people who had been separated for so long. A thin smile full of sincerity emanated from his face. If only you could slightly dispel your arrogant nature, Ar. Things would never happen like this, Alex said.

I'm glad to see you guys smiling happily. But for now, I can't trust you anymore, Ar. As long as you still have high selfishness, I'm not sure if Gintani will be okay living with you. Alex has a monologue in his heart.

I won't let you take my son's attention for granted, Mas, Inner Gintani stared cynically at her ex-husband.

Her lips were smiling seeing the joy on the child's face. But his heart mourned the coming of Argha. Moreover, as he watched with care Argha confess a truth in public.

I will never be moved by this attitude of yours, Mas. You're really sneaky. You can use the opportunity above the narrowness, Gintani murmured in his heart.

An hour and a half passed. Finally the committee sounded a long whistle as a sign if the race time had ended. All participants stopped their activities. Finished is not finished, the dishes that have been served on the plate should they submit to the jury team. The committee gave an hour of rest to the participants. Meanwhile, during the break, the jury team also had to assess the results of the participants' cooking.

Argha was seen taking drinks that had been provided by the committee. He then approached Gintani, who was sitting to feed the Princess beside Alex. Argha handed over the three bottles he had taken to Alex, Princess and Gintani.

"Thank you, Om," said the Princess took the drinking water offered by Argha.

"I'm not thirsty, save it!" alex refuses to give Argha.

Likewise with Gintani who did not want to see the slightest towards Argha.

"Daughter, can the Princess play first with Om Alex? I'd like to talk to Mama Putri for a moment. Can you, right?" argha pinta.

Argha has never changed. He always gave orders as good as his own. And that's what makes Gintani even more fed up with him.

"It's okay, Ma. The princess is full, anyway. Come on Om, let's play the slide over there!" invite the Princess to point to a slide that is located far enough away.

Half-run, the Princess pulled Alex's hand. Finally inevitably, Alex wakes up and follows the Princess.

"Mas wants to talk for a second, Gin," said Argha as soon as the Princess and Alex left.

"But I never want to talk to you" replied Gintani coldly.

Argha took his breath. "Gin, I know you're still mad at me. But please, give me a chance to explain everything. Admit it, I was wrong to not trust you. But you yourself must be able to understand the feelings of Mas at that time. Which husband would not be angry to see his wife in another man's arms without a thread? It was natural that he was angry at that time. I'm sorry, Gin!" argha.

"So you ask for my time just to bring up the past? Absolutely outrageous!" gintani said, furious.

"That's not what I mean, Gin! I just want you to understand my position at the time. Mas ha–"

"Enough! I've no longer wanted to hear anything from your mouth. Good afternoon!" pamit Gintani as he moved from his seat.

"Wait, Gin! There's something I need to talk to you about!" prevent Argha while blocking Gintani's wrist.

"I think there's nothing more to talk about between us. Have you forgotten, what is our status now?" gintani said so coldly.

"No Gin, of course Mas will never forget our current status" replied Argha casually.

"Hmm, great. Then let go of my hand! Don't you see if we're the center of attention? I don't want people to judge us badly" Gintani said.

"What would they think of us? Aren't we husband and wife?" argha asked with a seductive smile.

"Don't dream! You and I have no relationship anymore. It's all over. Now, let go of my hand!" gintani said firmly.

"Everything is not over, Gin," replied Argha no less.

"What do you mean? Have you forgotten that we are officially divorced? You have filed for divorce and I have signed it. So there is no longer any relationship between us" said Gintani, furious.

"You're still my wife, Gin. And forever will be my wife!" argha said with conviction.

"Crazy for you, Mom!" Gintani grew furious at Argha's beliefs. He then moved his legs away from Argha.

"Our divorce is a legal defect. That's why you're still my wife right now!"
