With the emergency policy set by Leo, the City of Venice managed to survive the brink of collapse.
In fact, almost all the remaining citizens in this City began to worship Leo as a landlord who was very kind to his people.
Unlike previous City Lords who only squandered the wealth of the City for his personal enjoyment.
Seeing that everything had stabilized on the third Sunday, Leo held a meeting again to think about his next move.
The first word that came out of his mouth....
"What are we going to do about the next Rustfell region?" Ask Leo.
The question itself has quite a deep meaning.
Will Leo take over another territory? Like the city of Daeta in the East and various villages up to the Molinord region. Or even further? Will he come back to save her?
The various questions that arise were immediately uttered by one of the higher-ups in this City.
"Sorry, Mr. Leo. But at this moment, the Red Skull bandit group had not attacked either. If we move from this city and move the focus elsewhere...." Luna said with a worried attitude.
The answer from Leo is simple.
"If you really think of those bandits that deep, then rather than waiting for them to attack, you'd better attack their base yourself."
"Eh?"
The same word came to everyone's mind.
Thas right.
With the current state being quite critical, their minds were too fixated to survive the outside attacks. They don't think there's another simpler option.
That is by destroying them directly in their territory.
"Selene, have you found their base yet?" Ask Leo briefly.
"I made sure of it. It's right here." Said Selene while pointing at a map of the Western region of Rustfell with her index finger.
"You hear that, Luna? If you understand, then prepare your troops to attack. We'll leave tomorrow morning." Said Leo firmly.
Luna was surprised by Leo's sudden decision. Said that they would attack the headquarters of one of the biggest bandit groups with 200 soldiers only.
"Master! With all due respect, but our troops...."
"Much more than enough to annihilate them without even a casualty on our part." Reply Leo cut Luna's words.
"Eh?!" Ask Luna confused.
"Huh?" Reply to Leo who is a little confused.
Leo then asked Selene to explain the details of the bandit's headquarters. After this short meeting was sorted out, everything was dissolved for the big activity tomorrow.
It was a direct assault on the bandit headquarters that was said to be troubling.
......***......
"Hm.... Pretty good." Said Leo while watching the female soldier line.
Everything lined up neatly. The line consisting of 5 banjars slowly followed the footsteps of Leo, Selene, Reina and also Luna in front.
They looked like Musketeer soldiers in the 1600s. With a long barrel gun propped on his right shoulder, as well as a backpack containing groceries and other needs.
The bullets, or whichever stone they needed were stored in the right side pocket of their pants. Making it easier for them to do refills if needed.
Not everyone is focused on fighting. One in 5 people appear to be carrying a larger bag which contains a field tent that is easy to install and disassemble.
Even so, the distance of their journey is predicted only as far as 2 days and one night.
"Lord Leo, it seems they're all quite excited." Selene said as she glanced towards the line of soldiers.
"You're right. I think they'll be scared because this is their first mission. But it seems that my worries are not very useful." Reply Leo.
On the other hand, Reina seems to start embracing Leo's left arm while whispering something.
"The.... Are we really going to be okay?" Reina asked with a slightly worried look.
Leo thought for a moment about Reina's words.
Although his army had far more powerful weaponry than any other army in the world, it was still Leo's first assault mission.
No matter how smart he is, he will never escape error. Therefore He listened and considered Reina's words well.
"It should be in terms of strength no problem. But honestly, now I'm starting to get nervous. Selene, new orders for you." Said Leo as he immediately turned his head towards the silver-haired Half-Elf.
"New government?" Selene asked while slightly tilting her head.
"After entering the forest, bring your best 5 people. Then do a spy in front of us. If there's a problem, shoot fire magic in the air, we'll catch up.
But if not, proceed slowly and inform us of the information ahead. Can I trust you?" Ask Leo.
"Of course, sir. I'll make sure everything goes according to plan."
With that, the troops led by Leo continued to walk under the unfinished snowfall.
Their main clothes that have white and ash make them slightly camouflaged among the amount of snow.
Even so....
Leo's worries bear real fruit.
Without a single person realizing it, there were at least 3 people hiding behind the thick piles of snow.
With a wide smile, they seemed so happy to welcome their prey to come themselves into the trap.
"Tell the boss that we're going to party tonight." Said one of the men with braided hair and many blue tattoos on his face.
"Okees.... But what do you think?" Asked the other man with a slightly thin body. Their clothes were snow wolf fur coats. Making their appearance was completely inconspicuous in this situation.
"At least 200 pretty girls will turn themselves in tonight. His boss.... Maybe that guy. Can you kill him with your arrow?" The man with the blue tattoo on his face asked the other man.
"That's easy. My arrow never misses when I hunt down the captain's head." Reply to the man with a slightly sleepy face.
"Then that's for sure, we'll party tonight."
Under the ever-thickening snow, the two camps pitted their respective strategies and traps against each other.
What awaits Leo....
It was not the usual bandit group he met on the streets.
Rather a highly trained and organized group resembles a unit of troops.
A group that has always spread terror in this region.
And their distinctive feature, was to display the skulls of his opponents who had been soaked in their own blood on their wooden walls.
That was why they were known as the Red Skull group.
