E - Rank Hero In Another World

E - Rank Hero In Another World
Chapter 32 - Daily Life

Leo starts his day by training his physique. He realized that he was one of the weakest heroes that might ever be called in this world.

Even so, he was quite confident with his knowledge. That was why He could still survive to this very moment in this cruel fantasy world.

The training routine is quite simple.

To train his stamina, Leo will run in place by lifting his legs up parallel to his stomach.

He did so outside this inn because Miria had once reprimanded him because of the noise produced.

As for training his strength, Leo only does simple Push-Up and Sit-Up. Every now and then, he would add the practice of swinging his sword.

Later for his Vitality, Leo needs Artemis' help to beat him up. After making him battered where Leo tried to dodge or resist his attacks, Artemis would heal him at the end of the training session.

Once his energy runs out, Leo will switch to magic training. Or rather, an exercise that simultaneously made him money.

Until now, Leo has only been able to add 2 D level Enchantment pieces to a fixture every day. Because with just that, his Mana had been drained out.

The business of selling goods that have obtained the Enchantment is running very well. Thanks to Artemis's speech and persuasion skills, the two of them were able to sell it at a great price.

Their total revenue ranges from 20 to 50 gold coins per day.

A very large number for ordinary citizens, but it was also a very small number for nobles or high-level adventurers.

How not, any high-level weapons or equipment could be sold for prices reaching thousands of gold coins or more.

Because it is too big, they sometimes pay for it with platinum coins. Or a bright white coin worth 100 gold coins.

Not many people have seen it. That's because the coin was mostly only used as a transaction tool for the big guys.

Even so, Leo had been satisfied with the result.

He divided the sale into two equal. Artemis was, of course, very happy with the division and is now much closer to Leo.

Right after 30 days of the start of the business....

Leo began to feel a considerable change in him.

"Clairvoyance." Said Leo while directing his gaze to his two palms. What appeared in his view was the status of himself.

...[.Object : Human]...

'It's still weak, but at least I have proven that this exercise can produce some extra points on my attributes.' Leo thought in his heart while paying attention to that information.

Realizing that his physical abilities are quite slow in developing due to overly simple exercises, Leo decides to look for a college or something.

After all, the only one who could be fully trusted to protect her was herself. Not anyone else.

'My money is enough, is it time to focus on fixing my equipment?'

Leo started thinking about using some of his money to buy the best gear for himself. Which of course will then be reinforced with Enchantment from him.

......***......

...-Day 60 Winter -...

Winter is approaching the end. And all of that was shown by a storm that was getting stronger and colder.

Even from day 50, no one is crazy enough to leave the house unless there is an urgent need.

Meanwhile at the fortress of Eastfort, humanity as the defending side gained an absolute advantage due to this season. The number of Devils as well as monsters that invaded decreased drastically due to this extremely deadly snowstorm.

Thus, it provided an opportunity for the soldiers to rest.

On the other hand, the news of an adventurer who had just finished off a Wyvern alone had spread around the Maelfall region.

Unlike the Aegis Lake area where many people are quite afraid of the figure of Reina, there he was actually very welcome. Make it comfortable enough to complete the mission in the Maelfall area.

Then return to the Aegis Lake area.

A Giant Lake surrounded by 4 Cities.

Leo, who is in one of these cities, has now changed his job from an Enchanter to an unemployed.

How not? As a city located at the foot of the Rustfell mountains makes it get a lot of snow and cold. Even with 5 layers of clothing, the cold was still able to penetrate to the bone.

And at this time....

"Your turn, Artemis." Said Leo who was sitting opposite the healing girl.

On a table in front of them, there was a board game that resembled chess. The difference is that the game is a bit more complicated with a 10x10 box board size.

Movements that can be made are as many as 2 steps for each player's turn. With the note that the pawn can only move once.

"Ughs.... You sure you never played this game?" Asked Artemis who made an annoyed face as well as confusion.

A few days earlier, Artemis bought the board for 20 gold coins and invited Leo to play.

His confidence is quite high because he already knows a little about the game that is popular among these nobles. But in reality....

"My victory." Said Leo as he pointed his steak toward the King of Artemis.

Seeing that, of course Artemis felt quite upset. How not?

"Aarrgghhh! Why did I never win! Leo! You're cheating, aren't you?! I'm sure you did something!" Artemis shouted as if accusing Leo.

"You're right, I did do something you didn't do to think. Now, do you want to play again?" Reply Leo with a face that remains flat.

Honestly, he liked this game enough. But he would be much happier if his opponent was a little stronger.

"of course! This time I will beat you!"

And so, Leo and Artemis spent most of their second month this winter. Quiet themselves in the room while training their physical as well as their minds with the game board.

Not only that, the bond between the two of them had now become much tighter. Especially the trust between the two.

A fairly good progress in the group is made on the basis of this mutual benefit.

At the moment, Leo is at his best.

His finances are stable, even quite excessive with the results of his sales for the last 3 weeks. Currently, he still had a lot of money left over of 327 gold coins to repair his equipment.

He had bought some things that he thought were good, but he still needed other items that eventually failed because of this blizzard.

What he had obtained was a noble-style suit of brown and purple that was so beautiful, as well as a one-handed sword made from forged steel.

It's just.... He still has not done Enchantment because he wants to give an effect at least level C on his best equipment.

And with that....

Leo and Artemis spent the rest of the winter shutting themselves up at the inn.
