E - Rank Hero In Another World
Chapter 53 - Letters

Leo only ate a piece of bread before going to his study. He asked to leave a portion for himself.

His own study room was in the first floor room of this inn. A restroom that was converted into a workspace for Leo. Although, it only adds a few tables and bookshelves.

Leo lights a candle that is in the glass. The candles are in some corner of the room.

Once the room was well lit, Leo immediately sat down at his desk.

Piles of paper and some books looked neatly arranged on the left side of the table. Leave enough room for his right hand to write.

Before opening the letter, Leo pointed his right hand at a light blue stone.

'Swuush...'

Leo poured a bit of his Mana energy into the stone. Make it light up like a little lamp.

'Now.... What's in it?' Leo thought while unsealing from the letter.

Inside, there is a piece of paper that is folded quite neatly. So much writing can be seen from between the folds.

^^^To, Leo.^^^

...I am writing this letter on behalf of the fortress of Eastfort and all the soldiers who guarded it....

...The equipment you sent really helped us a lot in defending this front line of humanity. Unfortunately, the amount is not enough....

...For the best gear you've sent, we've given it to the heroes on guard. Then for the equipment that was underneath, we gave it to the Knights. The rest we gave to ordinary soldiers....

...It's just, the heroes are a little less satisfied with the stuff you used. That's because all the equipment you send, it's best made of wrought steel. Therefore, one of the heroes, Alicia, has sent his weapon to you....

...From now on, we ask that you send at least 60 pieces of equipment each month of the same quality or above the previous one. Added with one holy-level equipment belonging to the heroes every month....

...We can only send the equipment one by one because the other heroes always use it in battle. But instead, please make the addition of his strength at least 3 times than usual....

...In addition, we also sent 60 paraphernalia with Mithril materials along with the hero's holy weapon. They will arrive one week after this. Your delivery schedule will adjust the arrival time of those items....

...Your duty is to improve everything we send. If you can send more, then we will give you a bonus. Of course, we will pay more this time. At least 2 times the previous payment....

...Thanksmeme it....

^^^ With respect, ^^^

After reading the entire contents of the letter, Leo no longer understood to be happy or sad.

On the one hand, today Leo can make at least 2x more money. That would speed up his plan. But on the other side....

'Will my Where be enough with all those requests?'

Even to meet around 30 fixtures, Leo had almost run out of his Mana. But now?

Amidst the confusion, Leo remained silent. Staring at the lights that were burning because of his Mana energy.

'This world is really weird. Is all this because of the existence of Mana? Besides, where is what?'

Leo just kept quiet. Staring at that light blue color of light that slowly made his eyes become slightly heavier.

'Aahs.... True too.... I think I can have them make me a Mana Potion. Much more frugal than buying in a magic academy....'

As Leo began to lose consciousness a little because of drowsiness and fatigue, someone suddenly knocked on the door of the study. Eliminate all sleepiness instantly.

'Dok! Doc! Doc!'

"Excuse me, Mr. Leo. Your dinner is getting cold, should I bring it inside?" Ask one of Leo's female subordinates.

"Well, there's no need. I'll be there soon." Reply Leo briefly. His eye bags are slightly blackened.

Lately, the work has been too much. The only person who can be trusted in this job is himself.

"Well, I'll leave it on the table." Reply to the woman before finally leaving Leo.

To be honest, Leo now feels grateful to him for waking him up before falling asleep.

Leo continued to record his data.

What is being made today is a barrage of data on various commodities in the City of Venice every few days.

All the data and numbers were made into a manual graph using a pen and a simple ruler on a very large and long paper. The size alone may reach 1 x 2 meters.

The way to make the graphics is very simple because Leo does not have a laptop, and his phone is still left in Canary Village. Although, he was very sure the battery had run out.

Each commodity has a different symbol at each point it makes. The horizontal line is the time, and the vertical line is the price.

If he could fully chart the price movements in this world every month, or season, then the market had completely fallen in his hands. Allows easy manipulation of supplies and prices. And in the end it will give a great profit.

I don't know how many hours have passed since Leo resumed his work. He looks very careful in connecting lines between price points.

But nevertheless....

But he's not done yet, he still can't sleep. But if Leo falls asleep while working on that chart, he will most likely break it.

That is why Leo immediately cleaned it up and kept it neat. While at this time, Leo re-read the book about alchemist science.

In his current group, only he had sufficient knowledge to understand the contents of the book. A book of chemistry, physics and applied biology devoted solely to making potions.

A few hours went by with Leo continuing to read the book.

However, the sleepiness can no longer be held back. Occasionally, he fell asleep lightly before waking up again. Until finally....

'Strue....'

Leo's head was now right on the table. There was no more energy or strength to keep himself awake.

In the midst of his disappearing consciousness, someone opened the door of his study slowly. The figure behind it is none other than Selene where her right hand is seen carrying a blanket.

"Master.... Why do you push yourself like this every day...." Selene said to herself in a very soft voice.

He approached the figure of Leo who fell asleep in a sitting position with his head resting on the table.

His footsteps were almost silent, as if he was used to it. And slowly, Selene enveloped the body of the sleeping Leo.

But just before Selene left the study....

"Reina's.... This time.... I'll protect you.... Just wait for me to come back...."

Leo seemed to be delirious in his sleep with a soft voice. Selene who heard him immediately turned to her Master.

And what he saw, only made both his eyes wide open.

In his sleep, Leo looked so agitated. Maybe it was all because of his exhaustion at work. However, there is one thing that cannot be caused by his work.

"Master.... I'm sorry." Said Selene softly as she immediately left this room.

Even as a stranger in Leo's life, Selene was unable to see her Master crying in her sleep.

......***......

...- City of Daeta -...

After completing the Quest registration within the Guild in this city, Lucas was seen sitting alone quietly in Guild Hall drinking a glass of water.

Currently, he had only put up simple Quests like collecting medicinal plants and various other materials within the forest. The payment was only a few tens of silver coins because it was not too dangerous.

In his left hand, Lucas is seen playing a single piece of silver coin as if waiting for something.

And a few moments later....

"I'm sorry if it's long." Said a blonde woman in a braid. His own clothes were a priest's robe with white color and a beautiful star emblem.

"Look down, Reina. I'll keep you company while looking for various materials." Reply Lucas with a faint smile.

Reina sat down in front of Lucas while ordering something to the Guild employee.

"So how? Any leads?" Ask Lucas.

"none. I can't find a single clue...."

Reina could only put on a face that looked so moody. Not even able to look into the eyes of Lucas in front of him.

"have you tried in the slave market?" Ask Lucas back.

"It was, but I still couldn't find anything...."

The two of them started to fall silent every time they talked about the matter.

About a month ago, when Reina fell ill, Lucas helped her with the help of a pastor from the Church. What makes it difficult to heal is none other than the effects of the Goddess's own help.

However, the effect faded after a few days and everyone assumed that it was thanks to the help of the Church Pastor. Of course, Reina was offered to become a judgmental priest because of her physical strength. Or in other words, a Church Warrior.

To avoid being fugitives in the Maelfall region, Reina and Lucas leave the region.

But now....

"Reina, I didn't mean anything bad but...." Lucas said in a pretty quiet voice.

"No! That's not gonna happen! Dimas wouldn't die that easy! I'm sure of it! But perhaps, he was currently being enslaved or living a difficult life somewhere. That's why I need to find him!" Reply to Reina loudly.

"Shhhh! Calm yourself!"

"Pardon me.... But I don't want to believe that."

Silence again enveloped the table of the two of them. That was briefly broken by the waiter who brought a glass of drink.

'At the time I was able to protect, but you disappeared somewhere.... I'm sorry, Dimas.' Reina thought in her heart while putting on a gloomy face.

Events like this always occur every time they both arrive in a city or village. But other than that, their relationship as teachers and students went well.
