Chapter 109 - Battle

Inside a large wooden fortress, hundreds of people were seen walking to and fro. Some were seen doing patrols and keeping watch.

Others appear to do basic work such as honing weapons, forging, skinning animals, or cooking.

But there's one different person. He was seen running with all his might with breath gasping.

"Boss! Lothawat! Bad news!" The man shouted while running into the large building in the middle of the fortress.

Inside, there were dozens of soldiers lined up neatly as well as several men with large bodies on a large square table.

But upon arriving inside, he seemed quite surprised. How not? The boss of this bandit group, along with several other higher-ups seemed to be 'happy' with their hunting results.

"Yeah, Mark. What's up like that? Can't you see we're busy?" Say a man with a bald head who has a black tattoo on most of the face to the back of the head.

His body was so large and muscular, with a height of over 1.9 meters.

While the one in the embrace of his right hand, is a woman who sleeps in her sleep.

The woman had long, beautiful silver hair in a white jacket that now looks half-open.

No matter what the bald-headed man did, the woman who was none other than Selene was completely motionless. It was as if he was too asleep in his sleep.

"Boss! Hear me! It's pretty nasty!" Shouted that sniper named Mark.

"Haha! The army, right? Just chill! With their numbers and this terrain, they won't be here until tomorrow." Reply The man who turned out to be the head of all this group of Red Skull bandits.

Mark is currently in confusion.

On the one hand, his boss's words were indeed true. With such a large army, they would definitely have a hard time passing through this forest. Especially in this snowstorm.

"Foot!" Shouted The man who was none other than Leo.

The gunmen's rearguard appeared to be targeting troops sheltering at the top of the wooden wall.

By reflex, Brunt immediately knelt down and took cover behind the wooden wall. She was terrified of what she had just seen.

'What the fuck?! What weapon is that?! Can this still be called a battle?! Goddamnit!' Shouted Brunt in his heart while frightened.

He even closed his eyes with a body that continued to tremble.

It's only natural because this is the first time a firearm has been used.... Or magic weapons with such power and scale were used in the battlefield.

Killing all his opponents without any pride. Without the need for hard training. Without the need for a strong physique. In fact.... Without the need for magic.

All that was needed was to aim the wooden stick-like weapon, then press the trigger.

And with that, the leader of this group of Red Skulls made one of the worst choices at the time.
