Chapter 17: Place For Pigs Part 1

It was getting late, the night of the day, Me, Kevin and Tristan parted ways with Viona to their respective dormitories. The male and female dormitories are located next to each other but are bounded by high walls.

While in front of the male dormitory, Kevin invited us to do additional exercises. But I refused and decided to take a break. Unlike Tristan, he chose to do additional training with Kevin.

“You sure you don't want to come practice with us?” ask Kevin.

“Iya I'm sure, somehow I feel there's something I forgot. I better check it out.” immediately

“Alright then.”

“Thank you for today. I will definitely be going to my room as soon as my practice is over. I will also try not to disturb you if you have slept,” Tristan said.

“OK, then I go first.”

We are grateful enough that Tristan was able to suppress the trauma that Albert caused him. It seemed like this was what he had been looking for all this time, a friend he could talk to like an academy student in general.

After saying goodbye, I went straight to my room. There I kept thinking about what I had forgotten about. I feel like this is something I shouldn't forget if I want to stay alive.

When I lay myself on the bed. Suddenly I heard a sound like a window being knocked on. I tried to look at the window but saw nothing that could knock on it.

“It seems, after kicking your instructor's seeds, you forgot about me waiting in Gareth's office, huh?” a familiar voice sounded from him.

It turned out that the thing I had forgotten and could threaten myself was Master. I forgot that I should have seen him before I went back to the dorm. I forgot about him for being too dissolved with the joy of being with my peers.

“I don't want to kill. That's too much for me.” I replied.

The teacher just looked at me in silence. I don't really understand what he's trying to say. Not wanting to think too deeply, I began to rise from my seat and clean my body filled with dust because it was ambushed by Master earlier.

“Sorry?”

Master's words I really can't understand. What exactly does he want to try to explain? Why did he suddenly act like that? I don't think I can answer this question for now.

That night I fell asleep just like that. Master's words did bother me, but I tried not to think too much about it and chose to go to sleep immediately.

A cold feeling began to envelop my sleeping self. I who was shivering with a twinkle finally woke up from my sleep. I could hear the voice of someone calling me.

“Deron! Deron! Are you still sleeping?” tristan's voice called me.

“Sorry if I bother you. Kevin and Viona invite us to run in the morning before leaving for class.”

After chatting with Tristan I finally started to get out of bed and started taking water to wash my face. I saw Master who was being a bird just watching out the window without speaking at all.

“Are you not sleeping Master?”

“Already. I don't really need as much sleep as you.” he replied. “Hei .. I hope you remember my warning last night. Never forget everything I said, understand?”

“Good, I will definitely remember all that.”

Our brief conversation began my new day at this academy. After the morning exercise. Me and the others started getting ready for class. Unlike the day before, now Master decided to come with me.

In addition to having a familiar class in the afternoon, Master also said that from now on it would be better if he continued to come with me. I don't know why I think Master is so on guard for something right now.

The morning classes went on as usual. Kevin and Viona also decided to move off the front bench and started sitting with me and Tristan. I don't think the class has just passed.

“After this you guys have what class?” ask Viona to me and Tristan.

“I have Familiar class.” I replied

“You took another martial arts class today?” continued Viona.

But it was different from what he said. We could see a sad look on his face.

“You okay, man?” ask Kevin.

With a forced smile Tristan replied. “No, I'm fine.”

“Sure, I will definitely tell you.”

We can't figure out what Tristan is trying to hide. The three of us could only hope that if nothing would happen to him. Indeed, Tristan now has friends to talk to, but the trauma will not go away.

After finishing eating. We attended each other's classes. Kevin and Viona take the same class, which is the Economy and Political Commerce class. It seems like they chose that class because it has something to do with their family background.

Viona is the son of a famous merchant, while Kevin is the son of a family of scholars who work in the kingdom. That way the class they choose will be very helpful to their respective families.

To myself. Familiar class turned out to be a class that was so gripping. There we were taught about habits of the familiar, how to care for the familiar and how to make deeper connections with the familiar.

We finally arrived at my room. There I don't see Tristan. But I didn't think much of it because the sun was still visible this afternoon. There are at least a few hours left before nightfall.

Arriving at my room, Master then told me to sit at the study table that was there. Teacher started to turn into a human and explained some things to me.

Hearing that scream I finally decided to see whose voice it was. When I looked out the window, I could see Kevin and Viona standing in the dorm yard with anxious faces.

“What is Tristan with you? We couldn't find Tristan at all!” viona.

Without a second thought I immediately ran over to them, Master also joined me after the transformation. Now the anxious faces of the two of them were in front of me.

“What do you mean?” ask me when I get to the dorm yard.

“We were waiting for him in front of the academy gate. But until the end we could not find it at all, no more students came out of there,” said Kevin.

“We have also looked for him into the academy, but we couldn't find him at all!” continued Viona.

“Sial! I didn't see him either. We better find it now.”

“You're right.” Kevin said.

The dark day that followed us ran towards the academy. We can only hope that nothing bad happens to Tristan.
