Eldrea Academia and The One That Stars Chose
Chapter 2: Master of Magic Part 1

“Haa, it turns out to eat grilled fish when the cold weather is good too,” said the mysterious woman after spending 3 of the 4 fish left from the bucket.

“And I fished a lot of fish so that I could eat a lot ..” I could only surrender to all this.

All thoughts of a party after a cape working a full day have turned into a disappointment. I ate my grilled fish slowly, trying to enjoy every bite.

“Silence boy, quickly finish the fish, or want me to spend it?” he said that along with a hand gesture that seemed to take my fish.

I kept my grilled fish out of the reach of his hands. “Cih, greedy base! I'll bet if you keep eating like this. Next month your body will stretch like a balloon,”

Unbelievable, he still wanted to eat the fish I was eating. Who is this actually? Why was he so brave to act like that to people he did not recognize?

The woman let out a long sigh and started glancing at me. “You're still small but really chatty. If it continues like this, I can guarantee that you can't find a girl who wants to be with you for the next 30 years,” he said shamelessly.

After saying all that, he immediately picked up the small pouch that was on his waist. He opened the bag and took out a bottle made of aluminum with a larger size than the bag.

“Why? You never saw a magic bag?” he said as he opened the bottle and drank the water inside.

“So it's magic bag?”

I did read it from a book left by my grandfather, but I didn't expect to be able to see it directly like this from a random person I didn't know.

“Hoo, so you know what a magic bag is?”

He put his water bottle near the campfire, then changed his sitting position, he also brought his upper body closer to me, trying to whisper to me.

“Now tell me. Where did a boy like you learn magic? and why do you know about things a boy who hasn't lived in the woods since he was born?” knows

The question is quite natural because of what I read. The commoners only began to learn to read and write when they were 12 years old and for the nobles they would begin to learn when they turned 8 years old.

So even though I was at a reasonable age to be able to read and write, I shouldn't have known things like this, because to know this information, it's not, I should at least be able to read a level 3 book.

For the level of the book itself is divided into 3 parts, the first is the level 1 book. This book contains more pictures than writing so it is easy to understand by children who are just learning to read.

There is also a level 2 book. This book usually discusses light things such as folklore, stories from heroes or can also contain recipes for cooking. You could say these are books that are commonly read by adults.

And for the 3rd grade book. This book contains a heavy discussion that is intended for royal scholars or students from the hero academy. This book describes magic and other scientific matters.

For that reason, I think it's only natural that this woman is suspicious because I can find out high-class information like this.

“Oh, the, emm, I actually ..”

I can't think of a good reason to tell him.

Remembering my condition that I could suddenly read when I saw a shooting star 2 years ago. I don't think there will be anyone who believes in such a reason.

Seeing my uneasiness, he finally tried to calm me down. “Relax, I don't intend to do anything evil to you, I'm just curious about that."

I took a long breath. "Accept ...."

Because I did not want to make him suspicious and began to be careful of me. inevitably I also explained how the beginning I could read from beginning to end to him.

“Castars fall?” he was pensive to hear my explanation.

“Iya, please if you want to laugh. I know this sounds pretty silly.”

Well, after all who would want to believe such a stupid story.

“I believe it,” she replied with a smile on her face.

“You believe?”

I really don't understand how he could believe a strange story that a little boy just said.

“Well, that's not an impossible story, after all isn't magic itself created because of our subconscious? If magic alone can we use, why also I do not believe in the prayers of a child who almost froze to death like you, well, even though such an opportunity is very rare,”

I hate to admit that he has a point in this one.

“Hey, what if this was the case.” the woman began to stand up from her seat. “From now on, you will I raise to become a disciple and in return you will help me in my work, so how? you want to come or not? You will also get a valuable experience compared to staying silent in the forest like this.”

Hearing this sudden offer from him made me even more suspicious of him, even though he did look strong, but the fact that he was a stranger who had suddenly come before me made me a little worried.

“Why did you suddenly offer me this?”

“Have not asked much and just follow what I said.”

“How could I possibly just come along to a bird demon like you,”

“I'm not a jerk demon!, I just used transformation magic to change my body shape into a bird,”.

I really didn't think he could curse a child so easily.

Otherwise transformation magic is magic that can be used by magicians who have reached circle 7, and even though you are already in circle 7. Maintaining the magic alone had drained a lot of mana energy in the body of its user. Moreover, he did not change his appearance alone, but rather he turned into a bird.

I don't know what level this guy really is at, but obviously, if what he's doing is really transformation magic, then it shows how powerful this woman is.

“You should know what transformation magic is considering you already know about magic bags, right?”

“Iya, I know what transformation magic is.”

“Good! So you definitely want to be my student?” He stepped closer towards me.

“I, I, I'm still not sure about that ..”

I answered him in a pretty slow tone, because after all I already knew that he was not the one I wanted to anger.

“Have followed what I said is okay?” With a slightly stressed tone, he held my shoulder. “Or do you want to make me your enemy, hmm?”

“E-no! Of course not!” I was surprised to hear his words.

Making someone seem to be an enemy was the most stupid act I could imagine.

”Good now you are my student.” He patted me on the shoulder and sat down next to me. “Well now how about we start by introducing ourselves to each of us?”

“My name, Deron.”

I still can't trust him, but I can't act rashly either because I don't know what he'll do if I refuse him.

“Deron, yes? If so, Deron ... introduce my name is Margaretha Volva, I am an adventurer.”

“You are an adventurer?”

“Iya, why? Anything weird?”

Adventurers are people who work without being attached to any kingdom, they can freely choose to work for anyone without anyone restraining them. You could say they are a collection of freelancers who have the ability. But even so they used to gather in a place called a Guild.

Within a Guild they would be able to search for the information or jobs they needed. But unlike adventurers, Guilds were guilds that cooperated with the kingdom or where they stood, so there were a lot of Guilds scattered in various places.

”No, it's just, if you're adventurous, are you on a mission around here?”

“Oh, that's.. I'm not on a mission anymore, I'm here because I have a need around here. But as I walked, I suddenly saw a bonfire light.” He took out his drinking bottle that he had just stored beside the bonfire.

“I thought there was originally an adventurous group camping near here, and I intended to ask for a bit of their dinner, anyway, but it turns out I only found a little boy burning a lot of fish for himself, you greedy boy,”.

“Yeah, but now the fish is spent by even more greedy people,” I replied with a slight mockery

“Where? I heard it wrong, didn't I, DE-RON?” he said it all while taking fire out of his hand, “So ... what did you say?”

“E-no teacher, I didn't say anything.”

“Yah, stop.” He canceled his spell and started drinking water from his bottle. “But that's not important for now. Now try to explain since when did you learn magic?” tanyanya while closing her water bottle again.

“I started using magic after studying it for a year from a book belonging to my late grandfather.”

“Learn through books? hmm, interesting ..”

I couldn't guess what she was thinking, but seeing her reaction like that scared me a little.

The teacher pensively watched the bonfire for a moment. She looked like she was thinking about something quite heavy behind her beautiful face. But it didn't take long for him to suddenly get up from his seat.

“Then let's go to your grandfather's house now.” He pulled my collar to go to Grandpa's.

“Wait, why are you going to grandpa's house?” I tried to hold back his pull which was quite strong.

“Just follow what your teacher says!” He pulled me even stronger

“Ba-alright, but wait a minute!"

He let go of her pull and stood looking at me.

“Why?”

“My things are still lying there, and we haven't turned off the fire, it would be dangerous if we let it burn like this, and you know where Master is going?”

“Oh, that's right, then quickly extinguish the fire,” he exclaimed telling me to hurry.

I immediately rushed to extinguish the campfire with water from the lake and immediately cleaned up my luggage.

“It's done, right? Then quickly lead me.”

I directly led the teacher to grandfather's house, I don't know what he'll do there, but to now follow his request is the best thing for me.
