Chapter 30: Clumsy Alchemy

Magical Garden, the name of the garden near the magic classroom. The garden is decorated by various types of flowers that make this garden has dozens of colors decorate it, and one small fountain in the middle of it that makes this garden look so beautiful.

There were also some herbs and magic plants that were commonly used by alchemy in the academy to make medicines or conduct experiments, planted near the multi-purpose building.

Me, Kevin and Viona, are currently sitting on a park bench behind which is a tall wooden fence with a large circular design in the middle of the fence. The design made us able to see the flowers directly in the garden without being blocked by a fence high enough from the park bench.

“I think I will die from being surrounded by many disciples,” complained Viona.

Kevin who was wandering on the park bench began to sigh at Viona's words. “Really, I would never want to experience something like that again ...”

Many students passed by carrying thick books as we sat on the park bench.

This room really feels like bad news, considering we are in a building in the middle of beautiful gardens, but this room shows no coolness at all, not like the other rooms.

We could hear the sound of a loud explosion from inside. Without thinking we immediately ran into the room, and when we entered it, we could see a purple puff of smoke with a very pungent smell.

“Why do you ask for the smell when there is a strange smoke enveloping us,” replied Viona.

“Is there an attack inside the academy?” ask Kevin.

We could see nothing but the purple smoke. And when we tried to look into the room, suddenly we could see a silhouette of a woman approaching us.

We immediately shouted because seeing the silhouette was like seeing a ghost in broad daylight.

It seemed like the silhouette of the person started to cough when he accidentally inhaled this smoke while shouting.

“Who are you?!” ask the mystery man.

Still vigilantly we tried to pay attention to the silhouette of the person, slowly the purple smoke that enveloped the room began to come out of the wide open windows and doors, so we began to see this mysterious figure in front of us.

The shadow of a woman began to look little by little, her long hair and her body filled with dust from the explosion took us by surprise a little, so it unconsciously made us take a standby position.

We could finally see the figure, it turned out that she was Lina, the teacher from the magic class.

“What are you guys doing here?” asked Lina with a stifled voice.

“Sorry, we accidentally heard a big explosion from here,” I replied.

After shaking her hand, Lina began to ask again, now in a clearer voice. “Yes, I've heard of it, but why are you guys hanging around in the magic-class multipurpose building?”

We just look at each other, because we have no clear reason for where we are here. There's no way I should say if I hear a whisper from here.

“Why are you guys just quiet?”

“Ah, sorry, we just moved to class A and took a break on the park bench near this multi-purpose building,”.

Viona started nodding her head quickly. “True, it's true!”

Lina simply watched us without answering.

“Sorry, but can I ask what the explosion was?” I try to distract him.

“So I tried to make a potion to treat your friend, but it looks like someone sabotaged the cauldron I used,” Lina replied, “but that doesn't matter, do you realize that you can't roam around in a multi-purpose building belonging to someone else's class?”

“Somehow, I could smell a little poison from the monkshood plant, and when I wanted to check it by burning a little fire, it suddenly exploded.”

“Poisons?!” we were surprised to hear his words.

“Calm down, it is true that we have been exposed to the poison, but we can still neutralize it,” said Lina casually.

I really can't believe he can say all that without looking scared at all, is it true that alchemy is used to being exposed to poison from their experiments?

Lina started to take a bottle from the shelf inside the alchemy room and poured it into 3 glasses, she said, not to forget he also added mint and parsley leaves that had been mashed into his glass.

He gave us the glass to drink.

“Quick, drink,” he said with a smile.

Without a second thought we immediately gulped the medicine until it ran out. The medicine really tasted bitter, but it had a refreshing after taste in our chest.

“Thank you,” our word.

“Didn't you drink it too?” I asked Lina.

Lina who was smiling suddenly started to show a flat face. “Sial, I forgot that I was also exposed to poison.”

After saying that, Lina immediately fell down with a convulsing body on the floor. When we immediately ran up to him, I also immediately made the antidote to the poison that Lina had just given me just by using my memory.

Lucky that there were still remnants of ingredients on the table, I managed to make the antidote in time, and immediately drank it to Lina.

“Uhuk! Shit, I thought I would die ..” said Lina immediately after waking up.

It seemed like her habit of giving medicine to others was making her forget that she needed medicine right now.

I'm grateful that she could be saved, but there's something that baffles my mind, if what Lina said about the sabotage is true, who would dare to do that in the academy at this time?
