Eldrea Academia and The One That Stars Chose

Eldrea Academia and The One That Stars Chose
Chapter 4: The Beginning of Part 1

A cup of red bean soup, a piece of bread and a cup of tea were served, and the teacher and I ate our breakfast.

After the conversation about Master's goal of appointing me as a disciple last night, Master finally decided to immediately go downtown and register me as an adventurer in the guild.

“It turns out that peanut soup and a loaf of bread is not too bad to start the day,” said the teacher after finishing his meal.

“What do you usually eat teacher?”

“I'm not used to breakfast because I have to do research immediately when I wake up, but with you now. I will look forward to your homemade food in the future.”

“You raised me as a student or a servant?”

“What do you mean? Of course, a student must pay attention to the health of his teacher, just as I will always pay attention to your development. Didn't you?”

Indeed, Master's speech sounds reasonable considering that humans are creatures who need each other, but considering this is Master who speaks, I doubt his words.

“I don't think that's entirely true guru.”

“Can't you stop refuting words from people older than you?”

“If the man is wise, maybe I can,” I put my bowl down, and drink the tea that is still warm.

The warm taste of the tea really refreshes me. The distinctive taste of the tea had managed to free my throat from the heavy taste left by the bean soup and the dry feeling in my throat caused by the fresh bread also seemed to disappear instantly.

“You really pissed me off, you know?”

“Not a teacher, I'm a human not a Know.”

“Actually how old are you to let out an old geezer like that?”

I didn't pay much heed to Master's words to me and continued eating. After I finished eating, I immediately prepared the supplies to immediately go to the capital with the teacher.

As for Master, he was waiting for me in the front yard of grandfather's house while carrying some items that felt useful for survival into his dimensional bag.

After finishing preparing supplies such as clothes and others. I went straight to Master who seemed to be waiting for me down there.

“Are you ready?” ask the teacher who was waiting for me.

“Already teacher.”

“Good.” The teacher immediately pulled out a whistle from his pocket.

I pointed towards the whistle he was holding. “For what is it?”

“You will know soon,” said Master without glancing at me. Master blew the whistle, but I couldn't hear the whistle at all.

“Why doesn't that sound?”

“This whistle is not designed to attract human attention but for animals.”

“Animal?”

“Yes, animals. Well, there he comes.” He pointed towards the sky behind me.

I turned my body around trying to glance in the direction he pointed. Up there I could see the silhouette of a horse that had wings was flying towards us with incredible speed

The hwaark!

The sound of animals is like a combination of the sounds of horses, lions and birds. In addition to the sound there is also the sound of a loud flapping wing accompanied by a strong wind.

“What is it?” my many.

“That Griffin.”

“G-Griffin?” I didn't think the animal the teacher was referring to was a griffin.

Griffin is a bird-headed monster but has a body like a lion with muscular muscles and very sharp claws, I heard griffin claws can tear the armor of the soldiers so easily.

Griffins themselves are monsters that usually come in groups and often attack adventurers who accidentally enter their territory. So far there are no books or people who mention that griffin can work with humans.

“Isn't griffin a beast?”

“For a weakling like you might look like that.”

He was right, I forgot when compared to monsters. The teacher was a figure more savage and dangerous than them. At least the monster will show a clear movement when it wants to attack its target, unlike humans who can attack at any time without us knowing, especially if the human is an expert like Master.

The Griffin that had been hovering above us finally landed and directly bowed before us, or rather in front of Master.

“Then so fast up!” teacher exclaimed to me.

“N-ride? What's safe?”

“Sure, this griffin wouldn't dare mess with me, or would you prefer to walk to, Eldrea?”

“B-okay.” I rode the griffin cautiously, followed by Master sitting right behind me.

After being tagged by the teacher, the griffin immediately flew through the vast and direct forest

it is heading west at high speed.

The shadow of grandfather's house slowly began to disappear covered by the trees in the forest. I was sad to leave the forest considering this is the place where I was raised and nurtured by my grandfather.

But I can't keep living here, I have to get out of here and get on with my life, I think that's also what grandfather would have wanted if he was alive.

“Oh yes, what is your grandfather really like? Why would a terminally ill parent choose to live in the middle of a forest far from civilization, is he a fugitive?” ask the teacher in the middle of the trip.

“Not like that. Grandfather is just an ordinary man who chose to live in the forest after being left dead by his wife.”

“That's it? Then how did he find you?”

“I heard grandpa found me near the cave when he was hunting.”

“Sorry, but grandpa is just a regular hunter.”

“Yeah, it's not like I was expecting something special too.” The teacher pointed far ahead. “See, we're almost there.”

“So it is Eldrea?”

“True, what do you think?”

I was amazed by what I was seeing now, a palace so magnificent, and also a lot of horse carriages that crossed the residential area along the way to the palace.

We flew across the rice fields and residential areas so quickly, there were a lot of people looking at us from down there. Well, that's natural considering what we're riding right now is a griffin.

The hwaark! The kwark!

The Griffin we were riding landed in the middle of a vast expanse of grass near the entrance of the palace. There were a lot of guards ready to be in their positions when they saw us landing.

“Who are you?!” said a soldier.

“We are adventurers from the guild,” replied Master while showing the guild member's mark to the soldier.

“Petualang?” The soldier then took and checked the teacher's identification. “Alright then you can enter, but the griffin can not enter the palace,” he said after finishing checking the identification of Master.

“What's wrong, anyway we don't need it anymore.” The teacher then ordered the griffin we were riding to leave.

The flapping of the wings of the griffin made some soldiers who were on guard pushed back a few steps.

“Then you can enter.” The soldier returned the Teacher's identification.

“Thank you, have a good day, Mr. Guard,” said Guru while letting out a smile that is so charming.

“You too, Miss. hope you two have a nice day.”

We are welcome to enter the capital city of Eldrea. When I passed through the city gates I was really impressed by what I saw. There were so many buildings lined up in every corner of the city, very different from the circumstances outside the royal walls.

If it is out there filled with rice fields and not-so-dense populated settlements and roads made of land. Here I saw houses lined up neatly without gaps, as well as city streets made of perfectly arranged rocks. This sight really made me feel amazed.

“How was your first impression on the Capital?”

”Attracted, I'm really amazed. This cannot be explained from the words that are in the book only.”

“Haha, of course boy. You wouldn't know the world if you just read it from a book. There are more beautiful things than the city center of this world. Now let's go to the guild, the place is not too far from here.” The teacher walked in front of me.

Along the way I saw many buildings with special signs near the entrance, each sign telling the function of the building such as lodging or restaurants. Not only that, there are also a lot of people who pass by and make this place so alive.

In the middle of the road, we passed a fountain with a statue of 4 people wearing warrior-like clothes in the middle.

“Who are they?” I asked the teacher.

”The old man standing on the far left was Theodor, who on the right was Maximus.and the 2 people who were in the middle of them were, Jester and Trishia.”.

“why is there no statue of you?”

“That's because I wasn't recognized by people when the war ended, remind me? I froze while trying to repel the demon lord's attack.More than my disciple rejected it. They know very well if I will definitely reject it.”

“So that's the reason why your existence is not known by the public.”

“True, it would be better if I stayed hidden in the public eye. That way I can keep moving

free without drawing much attention to me.”

“I don't think I'd hear those words coming out of the mouth of the man who brought the griffin to a peaceful kingdom like this.”

“I just love to see their frantic reaction seeing the monster before them,” Master said the thing

with a scary smile.

We then continued our journey. Not far from the fountain. We finally reached the guild building

adventurers in Eldrea.

Inside the guild, I saw countless adventurers inside, from big-bodied people to

small, until there are also humans who have animal body parts, such as the tail or ears of animals.

“Welcome to Eldrea guild, what is your purpose in coming here?” A friendly smile from one

the woman standing behind the bar.

“I want to meet with Yohan.” said the teacher.

“With Guild Master? If you may know what business you have with master?”

“Tell him if his old friend visits here.”

“Good, please wait a minute.” The woman went to the 2nd floor.

Shortly after the woman left, me and the teacher could see a middle-aged man with a burly body,

bald-headed and a face filled with beards. Stand up from the 2nd floor balcony and look towards us.

“Margareth! I haven't seen you in a long time. What is it about your appearance that hasn't changed at all? Did you use potions or something?” His shout attracted the attention of everyone who was there.

“You shouldn't say that out loud old man!”

“Hahaha! Sorry, sorry. I should have taken you to my room first. Then come here, we can talk in my room,” with him while laughing lightly.

Judging from his attitude, it seems like I have met an expert with another strange demeanor today.
