Chapter 8: The Beginning of Part 5

The warmth of the morning sun illuminated the room of the Guild Master that had a coffee flavor. Teacher invited me to go see Yohan in her room after breakfast. We came to this to ask for his help regarding the registration to the academy.

“You want me to enroll this boy to the academy?” yohan said after hearing our intentions.

“True, I guess there I can find a clue regarding my other 2 students.”

“I think it has a point.” Yohan then glanced at me.”Hey, Son! How old are you right now?”

“Sunday ago I just had my 13th birthday.”

The teacher seemed surprised by what I said. “What!? why didn't you tell me?” sela Teacher.

“I don't think it's important.”

I honestly don't care much about my birthday. For me it was just a day where all my misfortune began, if I wasn't born and dumped in the woods. I didn't have to go through a miserable life from childhood.

Master sighed deeply with a disappointed face he said. “you should have told me if you were a birthday, do you think I would let my student pass her birthday just like that?”

I understand what Master meant. But it really doesn't matter to me. “What's wrong, I don't really care. It was just a birthday.”

Yohan, who had been watching us, began to try to calm down Master who looked quite angry because I had deliberately missed my own birthday.

“Already Margareth. Can't we still celebrate now?” Yohan.

Hearing Yohan's remark, Master only glanced for a moment and started to stop complaining. Now he sat down while crossing his arms with a sullen face. I can't believe Master can act like this.

“But this is quite interesting. I mean, if you're 13 now, then you're the same age as the archduke princess, especially if you're going to enter the same academy as her,” Yohan is trying to shift the subject, so you're trying to change the subject, I'm grateful that at least he's reliable about something like this.

Hearing the words spoken by Yohan made Guru become a little calm. “You mean about that quiet girl?”

“Of course, who else is the archduke princess, you know that she only has 1 child.”

“Well, he is indeed strange, even though he is a noble but he instead refuses to do polygamy.”

For the nobility polygamy is a very common thing to happen, polygamy itself occurs not only because of sheer lust, but for the sake of politics. Either for the sake of expanding his power or repairing a fractured relationship between nobles. Polygamy can be the best solution when it all happens.

“Hahaha! Isn't that great? He can still lead his area without doing political marriage at all.” flattered Yohan

Hearing their conversation, it seemed the archduke really loved his wife so much that it refused political marriage. Moreover, he must be a very competent person to get through all the obstacles that face him without trivial solutions such as political marriage.

But there is one thing that really bothers me right now. From yesterday I kept hearing about the archduke princess, what was she really like? Why are so many adults like them flattering this princess all-out.

“Then may know who is the daughter of this archduke?” I'm trying to ask you about this princess. “Yesterday too I heard people talking about it at the bar,”.

“Name, Adelyn. He is a very talented boy. I heard he has now become a powerful Magic Swordman at his age. He is also the number 1 student in the academy at the moment,” replied Yohan.

A number 1 student at the academy, huh? I wonder what Adelyn is like. If he's the same age as me, how do I get all those things? Was he really a genius like the ones people were talking about?

That explanation from Yohan made a smile on Master's face. “Magic Swordman, huh? I think Theodor managed to guide him well.”

Yohan nodded her head, agreeing with Master. “I heard the boy learned sword from his father and magic from his mother. I didn't think he could absorb the ability from his parents so quickly. If it's not wrong he's now in Circle 3, great isn't it?”

The smile that had adorned Master's face had disappeared instantly. “He practiced during that time and just reached Circle 3?”

“Hey, what do you mean? It was an incredible achievement you know?”

“Hah, Bullshit! My student here has already reached Circle 4, and he has only been training for 3 months. So is that princess still talented to you?”

I can't believe the teacher prided myself in front of Yohan. I guess behind his haughty and grumpy nature. He is still a Master who loves every student indiscriminately.

Maybe I understand if Master behaves like that in his 2 students who are disappearing, because how well Master must have been with them for a long time.

But I didn't think he would behave like that to me. It was all clearly visible after Master got upset when I missed my birthday on purpose, and now she prides me on others.

“Really!? Hey, kid, let me check your body for a second.” Yohan asked me for permission.

Yohan stood up from her seat and approached me. He held my hand and tried to channel a bit of his mana into my body to check my heart.

I felt something creeping inside my body was heading towards my heart. It was where Yohan belonged, she tried to see him directly with physical contact.

Actually if he asked me to show him, I wouldn't mind either. But he chose a method that attracted no more attention. I think he thought about our current position considering that if I showed my ability, the people around could also sense my presence.

Yohan laughed out loud after she checked my body. “Yang is right! Are you a monster!?” Yohan held onto my shoulder enthusiastically.

“T-thank you.” I replied staggered.

I don't know what else to say in situations like this, I'm so used to the hurtful words of teachers that I'm a little surprised to hear the compliments of others.

“How?” ask the teacher Yohan who is still squeezing my shoulder.

Yohan took off her grip and spread out her hand, “Excellent! I never thought there would come a time where there is someone as talented as you! Hahaha!”

“Yeah, I think he was indeed blessed by a God or something.”

“What a fun day! I can't believe I've met someone who has talent like you, Margaret. And that kid is your student! What kind of coincidence is this? If you train him properly, I think he can surpass you someday.”

Yohan laughed at Master's words. “Hahaha! Right, considering your young body, you should still be growing at this time.”

 Yohan sat back at her desk. “Alright I will immediately prepare a letter to register him to the academy, but I have a condition,” said Yohan.

”What is it? I hope you don't make things difficult for us,” said Guru.

“Of course not, even this is for his good.”

The teacher who heard Yohan's words started to smile at her. “Hoo, try explaining,” he said.

“I want, Deron practice using the sword and surpass Adelyn!” yohan Proposal.

I can't believe he suddenly asked me to practice swordplay. I don't know for what, but it seems like she wants me to become a martial expert and become a competitor of the archduke princess.

The teacher nodded slowly after hearing the proposal from Yohan. “Tak bad, alright, let's do that,” replied Master without hearing my opinion.

“A-anu. Shouldn't you guys hear my opinion first?” I tried to protest at them, I mean indeed I have talent in using the sword?

It was true that everyone could practice martial arts and master it, but to become an expert. Hard work alone will never be enough, let alone they want me to match the daughter of a famous talented archduke.

“That's not necessary, you just have to listen to what your teacher says, remember?” teacher said without caring about me.

Damn it seems I can't argue with their words, especially since they look so excited. Inevitably I had to follow the selfish desires of the two of them.

Without taking a long time Yohan immediately prepared all the necessities for me to enter the academy.

Once all the papers are ready. Me and Master who had turned into a bird were delivered by, Yohan to the academy. He said he had an acquaintance at the academy who could help me get in there.

We walked away from the city center and began to enter the forest near the kingdom. After entering the forest deep enough. I could finally see a huge building.

The building is made of stones that look flowed by magic, I would bet if the price of one block of stone must be very high.

When we arrived at the academy, we did not go to the reception area of the new students who were in the academy hall, but rather we headed to the principal's room on Yohan's orders.

Inside the academy building I saw countless disciples wearing academy uniforms. Uniforms consisting of black pants, white shirts, and also overcoat are black.

Those students were watching us who were walking towards the principal's room, usually such gazes could make me awkward, but right now I was more astonished by the academy's building.

The inside is very luxurious, although all parts of this building are made of stone beams like the outside. The interior inside here makes the stones look even more luxurious.

when compared to the outside of the academy that was filled with leaves that radiated from each wall. On the inside I could see an interior filled with amazing medieval decorations.

Statues of warriors and some famous people decorated every hallway of the academy. There are even some replicas of swords and shields hanging on each wall.

After walking through the academy hallway, we finally arrived in front of the principal's room. There we were presented with a view from a door so large with many patterns of leaves and twigs so large.

Yohan then knocked on the 3-meter-high door that was in front of us. Shortly after we knocked, the door opened, but we could not see anyone opening it.

“Come in,” exclaim someone in there.

We entered a large room filled with books. Inside there were 2 long sofas and a work desk belonging to the headmaster, while for the person who invited us in earlier, he said, he was standing behind the sofa close to the window and was looking out the window.

The man was an old man with long white hair and beard. Seemed so great authority radiated from the person.

“Happy to meet you sir!” greet Yohan to this man in front of us.

“Similar to me, please sit down first,” the friendliest of the person.

Yohan and I ended up sitting on the sofa opposite the man, while for Master, he was now sitting at the table in front of us acting like a normal pet.

“If you can know what needs a Guild Master to meet me directly like this?” He opened the conversation.

Yohan patted my back and said. “I want to register this boy. Just so you know, this is the diamond I just found. Therefore I want you to judge it directly, and not by anyone else.” he told the man.

“If it's a recommendation from you, I shouldn't have turned it down. All right here, son, let me check you.”

I stood up and approached the man, and he did the same thing as when Yohan examined me. He seemed to be quite careful, afraid that I would use some kind of elixir to strengthen me temporarily if he just let me do a demonstration.

A moment after he examined me, there was a shocked face behind his white beard. “Levitable .. I really can't believe this. What's your name, son?” askinya.

“My name. Deron, I'm 13 years old.”

“Deron yes, introduce my name, Gareth Hunt. I am the principal at Eldrea Academy, the academy of the future heroes.”

“Happy to meet you.” I bowed my body and placed my right hand on my left chest just as Master had taught me before going here.  This is how people greet important people.

“Hoho, no need to be too formal with me, anyway you will soon attend this academy as a student.”

“Alright, hopefully I can get your guidance.” I sat back on the sofa.

“I think my task here is done, I'd better get back to the Guild right now. I leave this child to you sir,” Yohan said farewell.

Yohan left after saying goodbye, and left the two of us in this room.Guru was becoming a bird now, so I did not add it to my count.
