The next day Dari was surprised by Ranu's appearance in his cafe. Caira took a gulp down the door of the dance study and went in to see him. "You remember your story a few minutes ago, which says we can't go to that Japanese restaurant anymore because it's going to hurt my brother, because the chef is your first love?"
Dance leaning against the chair. "Then?"
Caira scrunched her nose and said, "If we don't go to that Japanese restaurant anymore because it would hurt Tara, how about the chef who came here?"
"WHAT?" Dance immediately closed her laptop and got out of her seat. "He's here?"
Caira nodded. "Yes. He's here and wants to see you. I know you're my sister's boyfriend and I'm pregnant, but can we just quietly admire her perfection for a moment? He's even more handsome than my husband and brother, and more importantly he's good at cooking. I'd love to learn to cook with him, or at least collaborate with him."
Caira smiled as if she was being drunk by Ranu's good looks. Dance rotates her eyeballs. "Caira's...."
"The brown eyes are beautiful..."
Ranu opened the door of the dance workspace and walked in.
"Caira stop! The man is already behind you" said Tari cutting off Caira's words.
Caira stopped, then leaned her body closer towards Tari. "We're in need of an additional employee, how about you offer him to cook here?"
Dance narrowed her eyes, "Can you please leave us both?"
"Oh okay. Speak as long as you want." Caira exited the dance workspace, blinking her eyes at Ranu as she passed by.
Tari harbors a mountain of guilt towards Ranu for yesterday's events, but he also keeps a mountain of anger towards Ranu.
Ranu smiled, looking around. "It's so amazing, Dance."
Dance quiet for a moment. "Thank you."
Ranu continued to smile at Tari, as if he was proud of the cafe owned by Tari, then he put a paper bag on the work desk of Dari. "Gift for you" he said.
'Why did he buy me a present? Doesn't she have a boyfriend and she knows I have a boyfriend?'
"Why did you buy me a present?" tanya Dance.
Ranu sat in front of Dance. "I bought it three years ago, when I came back to Jakarta. I was hoping to see you again, but it turns out you've moved. I was looking for you, but unfortunately I haven't found you yet, my cut has run out and I have to go back to London."
'seeking me? So Ranu's been looking for me all this time?'
"I came here to apologize, and to take you to London. Live with me, Dance. I want to keep all my promises to you."
Dari was silent to hear that Ranu still remembered all the promises he had made nine years ago.
"Hmmm.." Dance berdeham. "You don't have to apologize, Tara's fine. And sorry I can't stay with you, I can't leave my cafe and I can't leave Tara either. We love each other."
Ranu looked at Dance deeply. "I'm sorry it's not because of that shit*n, I'm sorry for saying you look like your mother. And I know it must have hurt your heart." Ranu grabbed Dance's hand, and grasped it tightly. "Please leave her, live with me, my good elf. I'm leaving tonight, if you're willing, I'll have people run this cafe."
Dance let go of Ranu's hand. "No. I can't!! Your promise has been paid off without you having to pay it off, you don't owe me anything. Be happy with your girlfriend, Ranu."
Hearing all the facts, that Ranu never had a lover other than himself, that Ranu had been looking for him and that Ranu had been trying to fulfill all his promises, I think Dari wants to cry. "sorry. I can't, Ranu." he shook his head while holding back his tears that were about to fall.
There was a radiance of disappointment in Ranu's eyes, but his gaze went down to Dance's desk. Ranu grabs the phone and opens the phone case. Ranu slipped his business card inside there, and closed it back. "Call me if you need help, I'll go straight back to Indonesia." Ranu moved from his seat.
Dance grimaced at her attitude. "I don't need it."
"Hopefully not, I will always pray for your happiness." Ranu walked towards the door and prepared to open it.
"Ranu, wait.." Dance up and push the chair back, until it hits the wall.
Ranu half-turned his body and faced Tari, who was walking closer towards him.
"That Tara said yesterday, I never..." Dance looks very nervous. "I never told you much, only once did I say and that was a long time ago."
Ranu smiled as he raised his hand, he stroked Tari's head gently. "I believe you slept with me not out of pity. I also try to fulfill my promise to you not because of debt. But because of love, and I'm sure I'm still the winner of your heart."
Ranu's hand went down to Dance's shoulder. "I'll still be waiting for you at the airport until eight o'clock tonight." he turned around and left the cafe.
After Ranu leaves the cafe, Caira rushes into Tari's study, and sees her lying on the floor. "Dance, are you okay?"
Caira reached out and helped Dance stand up. "So why did he come here?"
Dari walks to her desk and sits comfortably glancing at her phone on the table. "He just wanted to apologize," that was all Tari could tell Caira, he couldn't possibly say if Ranu asked her to leave Tara and come with him to London.
"Does that mean he doesn't want to work here or just collaborate with me?"
Dance smiled at Caira's words. "Of course not. Get back to work before I cut your pay."
Caira laughed and left, but Tari called her back. "Caira, wait."
"I know," he said. "My brother doesn't need to know about the arrival of that handsome chef, right? You don't have to worry, Dance."
Smiling dance. "Thank you."
Caira went and closed the door of the dance workspace.
Dari grabs Ranu's paper bag, he takes out Marlin and Dory's character figures for 25 million. Dari laughed at the pair of fish because she remembered she had watched with Ranu. Then Tari read the greeting card embedded in the gift.
Dance, dance,
Keep swimming.
Ranu
Dance felt the card, she hugged and cried without tears.
