"I'm Bagas" the tall and burly man stretched out his hand towards Tari.
Dari smiled, and without hesitation he accepted the hand of Bagas. "I'm Dance" she said, then she let go of her hand and saw the man with the same body standing next to Bagas.
"I'm Aji," he shook Tari's hand. "Can you play poker?" ask Aji to Dance. Ranu immediately let go of Aji's hand which still holds the hand of Dance "You came here to visit not to play. You guys play outside, dance for a break," he said.
"I can play poker, let's play" Tari asked, he looked at Ranu and blinked his eyes.
Again Ranu could not refuse the request of Dance, he asked his friend Bagas to take the table where Dance eats, as their base to play poker, while Aji shuffled the cards.
"You really know how to play poker, Dance?" ask Aji.
Dance shrugs. "I haven't played poker in a long time, last time I was in college" said Tari. "Here let me just shake it, you shuffle like a baby."
Aji raised an eyebrow and gave a deck of cards to Dance. Actually Dance does not know much about playing cards, but he can shuffle cards like a professional player.
He split the cards into two piles and shifted them quickly, then pressed his two thumbs to each end. The three men who were around her were dumbfoundedly staring at Dari. "You're amazing and you look professional, Dance" said Bagas.
"Did Ranu deliberately date you just to mock us? Because ordinary people couldn't possibly shuffle cards that great!" connect Aji.
Dance laughed while splitting the cards into the three of them one by one. "I think we need to play one round first to be able to answer that."
In the middle of the game, Bagas appears to notice bandages that wrap the head and neck of Dance. "Where were you in the accident, Tar?" tanyanya.
Dance held a bandage on her head. "Home on. My own husband did this, he banged my head on the bed repellent" she replied casually as she looked at the cards in his hand.
Aji and Bagas stared at each other. "So you're married?" Aji feels a little guilty because her guess is wrong, she thinks that Tari is Ranu's lover.
"You're married to a baj*ngan. You should have called us so we could come and beat him up" Bagas said. "Then where do you know?" ask back.
Ranu scolds the cards and throws three pieces of poker. "Tari saved my life when I was a market vagrant" he replied straightforwardly. He glanced and winked, making Tari become misbehavior. Why is my heart beating?
"Oh that's so sweet" said Aji. "You two are friends who help each other. I'm grateful that you saved Ranu, if you don't save Ranu then we'll live a lifetime of stupidity. Back when we were both art market thugs, Ranu used to teach us to read."
Dance smiled hearing Aji's story, in her mind she admitted besides being smart Ranu is very caring towards others.
In the opening stages of the card, Ranu and Dance looked at each other, they compared the cards they had in order of the strength of the card combination.
Ranu stroked Tari's head, he was very happy to see that Tari could laugh again. "Yes you won." he got out of bed Dance while tidying up all the cards. "Okay. The clock's up, soon Dance will be back for the examination."
Ranu asks his two friends to get out of Tari's hospital room. "It's nice to meet you, Dance." Aji and Bagas waved their hands, they came out, in between by Ranu to the front of the door.
"Contact me if you need help beating your baj's husband*ngan," Bagas said before he actually left the room in Tari's hospital.
Ranu closes the door and returns to Dance. "No need for you to listen, they're just kidding," he tidied up the table and the Dance quilt.
"It's okay, I'm very entertained by their arrival. Thank you, Ranu." Dance held onto Ranu's arm while looking at him.
"Rest! it's gonna be a check-up schedule." any minute." Ranu stroked Dance's head, and kissed her forehead. He then walked to his seat, and began to work.
Dari smiled happily at the heartbeat of the fetus in her womb, she still could not believe that there would be a new human in her stomach. "Ranu, I'm going to have a baby" she said, unable to hold back her tears, especially when she saw her baby on the screen, Dance became more speechless.
"So how do doc, the condition of the fetus in the womb, Dance?" asked Ranu, it was not only Tari who felt the happiness of the presence of her baby candidates, but Ranu also looked so excited. Many things he asked about pregnancy in the early trimester, ranging from how to cope with nausea, to foods that should not dance to eat.
"You heard all the doctors say, didn't you, Tar?" ranu asked as he pushed the wheelchair of Tari, towards his inpatient room.
Dance looked up, staring at Ranu. "Yes, I heard everything. Thank you, you've accompanied me to check the contents." Dance stroked her belly gently, she imagined whether the baby was a boy or a girl and what would she name? Dance also wondered if the baby would look like her or Tara.
Recalling Tara, the sudden surge of anger shatters her imagination about her future baby, she feels Tara has snatched some happiness from her.
But on the other hand, he has a feeling of worry. Worried if Tara can track her whereabouts and make the atmosphere hotter because now she is with Ranu.
Ranu nodded, then he opened the door of Tari's inpatient room. Dari was very surprised to see her mother was already in her hospital room, waiting for her arrival.
"Oh Tari," he said with a worried look on his face, he immediately approached Tari and crouched down to hug his daughter. Surinala let go of her embrace and looked at her only princess.
Dance clasped her mother's hand tightly. "I'm fine, mother, this was just an accident. Mother need not worry." her gaze turned to Ranu, as if asking for clarity on why her parents could be here.
"I'm sorry, Tar. I had been slow to open your phone to find your phone number," said Ranu, he looked into Tari's eyes deeply. "I don't mind taking care of you at all. I'm just so happy to be by your side all the time, even if it could be my whole life. But I don't want this situation to be used by the man to justify his actions to you." Ranu stroked Dance's shoulder gently. "Once again sorry I am, I just want you to get support from the closest people who really love you."
Surinala's tears streamed down his face. "What Ranu said was right, son," he said, he hugged his daughter again. "You are everything to mother."
