Enough
Chapter 38's

Dad heard me in the middle room talking to someone so suddenly he came in and saw Ranu in bed with me. Dad immediately got angry and scolded Ranu, I have never seen the father of the stew.

Ranu was completely unprepared, when my father beat Ranu with a club. I never forgot the incident for life, the sound of broken bones and the helpless body of Ranu drenched in blood pierced between my screams. In the next blow I sneaked hugging Ranu tightly to protect him.

After it was all dark, I didn't know what was going on anymore, because when I realized I was already in a Singapore hospital.

No one wants to tell me where Ranu is, whether he's okay and can go back to Europe or he's gone.

If anyone says money can buy everything, I strongly agree with that sentence, because after the incident the father was not at all resistant to his actions. He actually received a lot of praise for his heroic action to save his beloved daughter who was almost raped by homeless residents of the old house in the slums behind the complex where we live.

Dad says I've shamed the family, tarnished his image. My father also pressured me not to say anything in the media, even he locked me up in Singapore and did not let me go back to Indonesia for three years.

I guess I'll stop writing, because writing this diary reminds me of Ranu, and it's all too painful.

Dance flips the next page, but it's empty. That was the last page he wrote in his diary. It has been years since the incident that night but Tari can not drive Ranu in his mind, for that when he went to college he decided to make a heart-shaped tattoo where Ranu used to kiss him (neck). The exact same heart shape as the keychain sculpture Ranu gave him.

For years Tari tried to find Ranu through the internet, but nothing he got, Ranu disappeared like in the swallow of earth and Dari was back in Jakarta had not occupied his old house.

Everything feels further away, until finally Tari sees Ranu for the first time in a Japanese restaurant. Relieved dance saw Ranu was fine, even he looked healthy and more established. Tari can not be denied that his meeting with Ranu made his heart mixed, he must admit that his heart still loves Ranu.

But a lot of different things now, Tari has a cafe of her dreams, Tari has a mother that she can not leave and Tari has chosen Tara.

Dance got up from her bed, she took the music box given by Ranu which she had been keeping in her desk drawer. Dari changed the battery on the music box and displayed it with the figures of Dory and Marlin, he saw the clock on the wall had shown at 21:00 which means Ranu has gone to leave waterproof, he said, and back to his life.

SEVEN MONTHS LATER

"Oh my God, it feels like my chest is so tight" said Tari, crouching in the elevator and standing up again.

Tara put her hand on Tari's shoulder. "You'll be fine, there's no need to panic that way."

Dance rubbed her hands that were soaked in cold sweat. "I can't" said Tari. "Everything you and Caira told me about mommy makes me nervous half to death." Dance smothered her mouth with her hands "O Lord, what if mommy asked me about Jesus or the Bible? I never read it at all, the last time I read during Sunday school, I even forgot the last time I went to church."

Tara laughed out loud at Dance's words, she pulled Tari into her arms and kissed Tari's head. "Mommy will not talk about Jesus or the Bible. He came all the way from Surabaya, ventured on a plane because he fell in love with you based on the story that Caira and I told. Be yourself as you are."

"really?" tanya Tari as if in disbelief if Tara's parents come to Jakarta to meet her, she nodded. "Okay, I'll be myself."

The litf door opens, Tara takes Tari out, to Caira's apartment. It's a little strange to see Tara squeeze the bell, but in recent months Tara has been sleeping more often in the office or in the apartment.

All the clothes, toiletries, even the blurry photos of Tari in the rooftop, are in the apartment of Tari. "Did mommy know if you stayed in my apartment a lot?" tanya Dance. "I mean, I say you're not married, and then your mommy's a devout worshipper, what if she thinks I'm a cheap, faithless woman?"

Tara only nodded because the apartment door was open, and Tara's mother was already standing in the doorway.

Jeez Tara.

"I mean the thief of my heart" he continued.

Agatha welcomed and embraced Dance warmly. "Dance!" he said he let go of his embrace, then watched Dance from top to bottom. "Darling, this doesn't look like a godless thief, this beautiful girl is an angel who for the past five years has always been a mommy praying to land in your arms!"

Agatha invites Tari into the apartment and introduces her to her husband. Not much different from Agatha, Keanu also welcomed Tari warmly. "You are not at all an unbelieving thief" Keanu said. "It was the godless thief who took my beloved daughter away from home to give her my blessing."

Gala laughs. "Daddy was so wrong, it was Caira who whined for me to kidnap him and.... Aw...." Gala cried out in pain as Caira pinched her thigh.

Seeing Gala's jokes and the warmth of Tara's parents, makes all the fear and tension of Dance disappear instantly. They ate dinner intimately while talking about their daily activities.

Two hours later Tari lay in Caira's bedroom, while both Tara's parents had rested and Tara and Gala were playing chess in the living room.

"This is her head, and this is her leg" said Caira sliding hands Dance on her stomach, she looks very happy waiting for a fetal kick in the womb Caira.

"This is so adorable, Caira," said Tari.

"Well, I'll be holding my baby boy."

"I want to carry it too."

"I can't wait for you and my brother to have a baby" Caira said.

Dance lay on her back, put her hands behind her head. "I don't know if Tara wants to have children or not. He used to say he didn't want to have children, after that we never talked about children and marriage again."

"Maybe not yet" said Caira. "I'm sure one day, my brother will. Because before knowing you he was very anti-serious relationship with a woman, but now slowly he began to change. I have a feeling that there will soon be a proposal."

Dance rolled her body towards Caira. "We've only been dating for a few months, I don't want to force it."

In addition to Tari not wanting to force Tara, she also felt too busy to prepare a wedding party, so for her it was okay to live the relationship as it is today, as long as there was no big commotion between them.

"But if my sister turns out to propose to you how?"

Dance laughs. "If he proposed to me? Of course I accept right away, even I'm ready to get married tonight."

Caira smiled and coded to Tari, if Tara had been standing at the doorway listening to all her talk. Dari looked back.

Dari saw Tara leaning against the door by folding her hands together, her eyes narrowed looking towards Tari. "Dance" he said bravely. "Will you marry me tonight?"
