Episode 9 - A Simple Offer From Dany

It was getting late and finally the work hours ended. But Niana is still sitting at her workplace with various application files from prospective new employees. He sat still and ignored all the files. His head was down, his hands were busy playing the ballpoint pen. And no doubt, that the condition of his heart and mind is still chaotic. He was not ready to meet Endri who had put the wound to create such a huge ember in him.

Unfortunately, at the same time as the anger began to pour out, Niana was still aware of her feelings of love for her husband. Beautiful memories of the past often appear to make his mind almost like a tangled thread. Beautiful memories that make him sad and longing. Even in this trivial condition, he still expects the turn of time, so that at least he can fix what is wrong in him until Endri is so willing to betray his love.

Niana took a deep breath. He tries to stay calm in a state that makes his psychic messy. When he opened his closed eyes, a call made the phone on his desk vibrate. Then Niana looked at the screen from the door. The inscription 'My husband' accompanied by a heart emoticon, shows that Niana always loved the figure of Endri.

"Why did he call me?" murmured Niana then swallowed the saliva with difficulty. His trembling hand grabbed the phone. Although hesitant and seemed reluctant, in the end he still received a call from the husband. Then he put the screen of his phone on the right ear.

"Yes, Mas. What's up?" niana said as the first greeting.

"Niana, Nur said you haven't come home yet. Are you still in the office?" endri asked from a distance and Niana did not know where the man was. "You have overtime?"

Maybe this bad guy is questioning something he should know. I know he's not a very sensitive person, but after hurting me, did he really not take into account all the injuries I received? Inner Niana. Annoyed and angry, the roar of flames within him grew even bigger. His ears, face, and nape had even begun to warm. Not out of shame, but out of anger.

Niana took a deep breath, but very slowly. His eyes closed, and when he calmed down, he opened his eyes again. "Yes, I'm still in the office, Mas" she replied afterwards. "What's wrong?"

"I'm in front of your office building, Niana. You don't have to take a taxi anymore, I'll wait for you here until you're done working."

"What?"

Niana was not expecting. Why is Endri being so good? All this time, Endri rarely came to pick himself up. Endri only added Niana's monthly money for taxi fare when she came home from work, or even when she was about to leave. It is true that the busyness of Endri is much worse than the busyness that always holds Niana to linger in her work. But it still felt strange and as if intentional, when Endri suddenly appeared like this.

"Niana?" endri said when Niana never gave an answer.

Niana took a breath. "All right, I'll be right out, ma'am. Five minutes ago my work was done. And thank you for picking me up."

"No need to thank you, Niana, no matter how I'm still your husband."

"Well, okay. Wait a minute ...."

Niana pulled down the phone from beside her ear and pressed the button to turn off the call. Her sense of Endri's existence was inflamed again within her. He was not at all sure if Endri's intention to come to pick him up was based on guilt. Niana's feelings are not good and she suspects that she will face something much worse.

However, despite being reluctant and feeling like he wanted to avoid, Niana still had to rise. He had already devised a plan and had even managed to get help from Dany. For the sake of not getting crazy, he will finish all this. Justice for his wounded self must be obtained before he decides to flee.

In the next instant, Niana gradually got up from her seat. He put all the files he had stacked neatly into a rather large tote bag. Then he walked to the exit of his empty study.

"Niana!"

Someone called to welcome Niana out of the room. Dany's figure emerged from an elevator that was not far from there. Most likely, Dany just got off the CEO's room upstairs. Now, Dany walked towards Niana who was fixated still while staring at her whereabouts.

"I thought you weren't home yet" Dany said upon arrival in front of Niana. "Want me to take you?"

Dany's forehead then wrinkled the same. "Who? Endri?"

"Yes, it's him."

"You don't want to do it?"

"mm?" This time it was Niana who frowned. "Worshipped?"

"You can make him wait for you for hours there."

"Well, that's impossible. I myself can saturate the office especially if alone."

"I'm with you, Niana."

"You're just gonna ask me to keep working, aren't you?"

"Haha!" Dany chuckles. "Of course not! We can watch movies in the conference room. Then order food online."

"That's it," Niana said with a look of disdain for Dany's idea. "I don't want to do anything less important. I'd better get off. I don't want to make him suspicious by acting any more different than he was before."

Niana smiled forcedly. In the next second, he subdued his body in front of Dany as if he really respected the friend who was his superior. And in the end, Niana began to take steps to continue her original goal.

Dany swallowed the saliva with great difficulty. The look in his eyes continued to be directed at Niana's back which was getting away from her. He couldn't just let the woman go. After a long time, finally he and Niana can chat again as usual. And Dany doesn't want the first moment after all this time to end today.

Hurry up, Dany's after Niana. He catches Niana's arm before she manages to enter the elevator.

"Hey! What the hell are you doing? It's still in the office and if anyone knows, you can get into some vague gossip with me, Dany!" niana warned.

Helaan breath accompanied Dany's attitude that gradually released Niana's arm. "I'll take you all the way to Endri."

"Can't! I'm afraid you'll beat him up, especially when my plan hasn't worked."

"No, Niana. I'm not that crazy. I just wanted to slap him with the fact that we both still have closeness as a pair of best friends. But in his eyes, our closeness must have been considered an inappropriate closeness. Don't you want to be sure if Endri can still be jealous when you're close to a man other than her, Niana?"

Niana fell silent the rest swallowed the saliva. He was also staring at Dany while in his mind was considering the idea that the man was saying. Make Endri jealous? Did Niana have to do it? If it works, maybe he'll be happy.

But if it turns out that Endri is just ordinary, then what will happen to Niana? Wouldn't Niana's heartache grow bigger? However, ... why is Dany's offer curious enough?
