"You haven't come home yet, Van?" Renan is surprised to find Vani still in his house when the clock has pointed to the number seven nights. Though Vani usually has come home no later than about five in the afternoon, that said Bik Minah who every time at home.
"Em .. anu, sir. I need a little." Vani lowered his head, squeezing his fingers that felt cold. To be honest Vani is shy, almost every month he always takes his salary before falling on the payday. But, how else? The monthly money Faisal gave him was already depleted. As for asking for additional to her husband, Vani had to think repeatedly. Besides Faisal did not necessarily have, it would have even ended in a fight like this morning.
"Yes, I put the briefcase down first. You're okay, right?" Renan walks away from Vani towards his room. Taking off the tie wrapped around the neck, Renan returned to the living room after putting the object on the room table.
"Van ... ?"
"Eh, yes, sir. Me .....?" As usual Vani suddenly hesitated when he wanted to reveal. Vani looks restless himself until finally Renan who spoke first.
"Is this about your salary again?" Renan had to lure him. He knew if dates like this usually Vani would take half his monthly salary.
This time Vani looked up with a dead red face. Vani is very embarrassed because Renan until his habit of asking for salary money before falling on the date.
"I–iya, sir," Vani replied a little nervously.
Renan took a long breath. He doesn't mind at all. That is Vani's right. But the question Renan, how is the responsibility of her husband to Vani should always be in such a situation? Did Vani's husband never give enough to the woman?
"Van ...?"
"But, if Mr. Ren objected, it's okay" said Vani suddenly. Maybe Vani thought that Renan's silence was a sign that the man could not grant his request.
"That's not what I mean, Van." Renan took a deep breath. "Have your husband never made enough? Em.... I mean, does he never know that the monthly money he loves is never enough until the end of the month?" Renan is forced to change the question so that Vani does not feel offended.
"I'm sorry, sir." Now Vani even said an apology. I don't know what that woman meant.
"Why are you even apologizing?"
"Because I made Mr. Renan uncomfortable."
"That's not what I mean, Van. Your husband's a manager, right?" ask Renan back. Vani seems surprised to find out if Renan knows about Faisal's work.
"Yes, Sir. Mas Faisal worked as a financial manager in one of the private companies. His salary is pretty good too. But ....?" Vani suddenly shut up. Should he speak frankly? But, is it worth indulging in the disgrace of his own in-laws.
"Enough, Van. You don't have to continue your story."
Renan just doesn't want to force Vani. Let it be, Renan just give me what Vani asked for.
"This is your salary for a month. Take it." Renan thrusts a brown envelope in front of Vani. At first Vani seems hesitant to take it. But, Renan hurriedly pulled Vani's hand to immediately receive the envelope he had prepared from inside the room earlier.

Vani checked the clock on his cell phone, apparently already pointing at the figure of eight nights when he arrived at the yard of the house. Vani did not know whether Faisal would be overtime tonight or not, because this morning Faisal went to the office in a state of anger.
Never mind. Vani opened the door of the house with a long breath many times. Vani almost closed the door back when a woman's voice suddenly sounded from out there.
"Excuse me, Ma'am. Are your parents home?" ask the woman Vani estimates is in her forties. The woman was with a young man standing right beside her.
"sorry. Whose mother is yah?" vani asked not to understand. Vani has no idea who they are.
"I'm a new neighbor who occupies the house next door. Are your parents at home? We intend to make friends" said the woman again.
Vani immediately developed his smile. While the young man immediately sparkled to see Vani's beautiful smile.
Vani has never seen them. It turned out that the mother and the man were the new people who occupied the house next door.
"I live alone with my husband, Mom."
The duarrr!
Lightning seemed to strike suddenly. The young man in front appeared to take a few steps back with both eyes barely leaping out.
"Don't you really have a husband?" ask the man to make sure. As if he had not believed what he had just heard.
"Yes. I live with my husband." Vani repeated his words again.
"Well ... late dong!" The young man whispered softly. But of course Vani and the mother can still hear a little.
"Awww.pain, Buk!" screech the young man towards his mother.
"If that's the case, Le. You're like a man with no manners!" The woman glared at her son.
"Oh, sorry, Mba. I think Mama lives with her parents. Sorry huh?" The woman smiled awkwardly, feeling uneasy on her own because she had misunderstood.
"It's okay, Mom. Let's enter. But, my husband hasn't come home."
Vani opened the door wide and allowed two of his guests to enter.
"Eh yes, Ma'am, thank you. Maybe some cloth. We haven't finished cleaning either. Oh yeah, it's a little souvenir from Mom." The woman handed Vani a box of homemade bread.
"I'm Ms. Ratna. And, this is my son's name Bagas."
"I'm Vania, Mom. Thanks for it, so trouble me." Vani greets the woman named Ratna earlier, then Vani turns to the man next to her, but only the smile Vani gives.
"I'm not in salami, Ma'am?" bagas protested at the graceful woman in front of him.
