FOUR SEASONS

FOUR SEASONS
Summer (Part 6)

Kai resigned pulled here and there by Lalita. Tonight the temple was so crowded and Nolan insisted on wanting to see the ritual clearly. So Lalita was busy dragging them from earlier to get a good spot to see the ritual.

"See, looks!" nolan's screams were carefree as they managed to get a spot on the left side of the temple, coincidentally the ground was rather high.

From their place, Kai could see the temple which was so lively because it was decorated with red lanterns and poppies. The temple windows on each side were opened wide, giving access to anyone present to see a tanned middle-aged woman performing a strange dance.

Kai squinted his eyes. The woman was wearing a large silver robe. Or I don't know, is it trending? Kai did not understand. He also chanted strange sentences that Kai could not understand.

"Who is he?" ask him to Lalita. He just wanted to make sure that this village didn't invite the wrong dancers, because instead of entertaining the dancers it looked ridiculous.

"Tanana." Lalita whispered, not wanting to disturb the concentration of Nolan who was busy watching. "The shaman woman in our village."

Kai nodded. The woman deserves to be so silly, apparently she's a shaman.

"She's my mother." whispered Lalita again.

The pair of black beads dodged in shock. He glanced at Lalita who was smiling straightly looking at the woman inside there.

'uh? He's a shaman's son?'

The annual ritual dance stopped when some young villagers came to push two giant statues made of straw. One statue looks handsome with a red robe, while the other statue looks so ugly because it is painted jet black, even has a tail.

"That's Azulon's knight!" Nolan pointed at the red-robed statue excitedly.

"If one more?" ask Kai.

Nolan clucked. "That's the devil. Time just doesn't know." Her lips.

On the other hand, Kai swore in his heart. That was him? That ugly statue is her?!

Tanana, the female shaman, comes out of the temple. He stepped closer to the two statues that had been lined up neatly in the temple courtyard. Two young men jumped from behind, one carrying a poppy and one carrying a torch. Tanana took the poppy from the first young man and put it on the first statue.

"Watch up our village!" The woman raised both her hands, shouting loudly. A group of villagers cheered. A moment later Tanana quickly grabbed the torch and threw it at the second statue. The fire spread quickly. The statue made of straw was instantly burnt to the ground.

Everyone cheered again, except Lalita. He just smiled.

Kai clucked no like. "Something should teach history to these fools." - Her inner annoyance.

Caspian floated around, circling around Kai. He was a bit confused as to why the young man was just sitting glued with a frown. He should feel happy after going home on a date like this.

"So how's the date?" his question was trying to attract the young man's attention.

The pair of black beads threw a lazy look. Caspian was confused by the response he got. He thought for a while to correct himself.

"Oh, oh, that wasn't a date?" he said he hastily revised it after realizing his initial prediction may have been wrong.

"I came to see a strange ritual." Kai finally wanted to tell a story. Lately Caspian really like his personal psychologist. "Everybody seems to hate me."

Caspian scratched his hair in confusion.

"Didn't everyone hate you?" chirped again.

Kai pecked sharply. He wanted to protest despite this fact.

"But this one is different!" katilah. "They burned my statue!"

"You know.." Caspian looked at him in wonder. "Hades has long wanted to burn you in hell. This is nothing new, huh."

The black-mannered young man clucked in dislike. But he could not think of anything to avenge the ghost's words. So he chose to open his black wings, and then darted far into space. Leaving behind Caspian who was cengo and amazed by the demonic behavior just now.

"He's licking, huh?"

Lalita's feeling really good tonight. The fact that she, Kai, and Nolan spend time together makes her imagine a happy little family. Although at the end of the show Kai's mood suddenly deteriorated and Lalita did not understand why, the girl still felt happy.

"Are you going to sleep?" ask her as she approaches, putting a blanket on.

Lalita nodded small.

"Mother's so cool today" she said sincerely.

Tanana smiled, but then she remembered something.

"I saw you briefly in the temple courtyard. Were you with a man?"

"Oh yeah, I'm with Nolan" Lalita replied quickly.

"Nolan wasn't what I meant." Tanana shakes. "A man, Lalita. Men's. He's standing right next to you."

"Mother.." Lalita sat down again, then looked at Tanana half sulking. "There were a lot of people there. Just because a man is standing near me, do you think he's with me?"

Tanana was silent for a while, then sighed and rubbed the caramel mane gently.

"Oh yeah, right too." he relented. He next kissed Lalita on the forehead as a good-bye, then left.

Leaving Lalita looking back at her scarred back.

"I'm in love, Mother. How'this?"

***

Lalita smiled broadly as she looked at the wide back that was behind her from a distance. That's Kai, sitting among the poppy beds.

Lalita ran a little there. It's been a week. One week since the anniversary of the knight and Kai just disappeared. Tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow again, Kai never comes to the hill again.

But Lalita kept going up the hill for a week. He hoped Kai would come back occasionally. Maybe this guy is busy right now.

"You here?" As the girl warmly arrived she was a few steps away from the man she so longed for.

Kai turned his head for a while, then looked back at the hundreds of red poppies in front of him. Lalita realized the gelagat. Something is different about this guy. He looked more moody than usual.

Lalita took a seat beside him then threw a worried look.

"Do you have a problem?"

Kai sighed. Without taking his eyes off the flowers in front of him, he said, "I've heard stories about poppies. And it's different from your previous story."

"Ohya?" the jade eyes were round curious. Any story related to flowers always manages to grab his attention.

"Tell me" he said, sounding so excited.

"I don't know much anyway. But all I ever heard, this red poppy didn't just grow up." Kai's voice sounded so straightforward as he delivered. He then turned his head to stare at the pair of jade beads that were now twitching in confusion.

"He was born of blood."

Lalita was a bit heavy to digest the information just now.

The blood? Whose blood?
