Summer (Part 9)

Lalita's steps seemed to be getting heavier. He's been tired of running since. Not to mention now his feet were full of wounds from the thorns of the thickets he hit.

Aaauuuuuuuu~

The howling of the successful wolf kept him stumped. Lalita was silent, staring towards the voice with a horrified expression. Then his eyes rolled around. Where'sisthis?

He doesn't know anymore. The forest was so dark, and the ground he stepped on was a little muddled. Is he getting lost in the woods?

Most importantly, is there really a river behind this forest like Kai said? Why did he feel like this forest seemed to be endless.

Kai was just joking at the time.

Lalita returned to her horror when she heard the rustling sound of leaves. Like something new was passing around there. A wolf? A snake? or maybe a tiger?

"Snake rattles!" The girl was shocked. The distinctive rattlesnake's sound as it moves its tail makes Lalita reflexively aware to immediately avoid the deadly slithering animal.

Lalita spontaneously ran in any direction. He ran faster than before. To destroy whatever lies ahead. His breathing is getting worse. Then suddenly..

"Ouch!" He screamed in shock as he entangled the hanging roots. He was getting more panicked, trying his hardest to let go of his body. His powerful horn, so detached Lalita immediately crashed to the side. His head hit a big tree there.

The girl staggered, slowly approaching the roots of a large tree and then lying there. His strength was exhausted, and his sight was now clouded.

"Kai.. Where are you?" The girl's whisper was shriveled before her eyes closed perfectly.

The jade eyes blinked slowly, then moved agitatedly, then looked at the figure before him confused.

"Kai?" Weak question.

"Thankfully you're okay." Kai grabbed Lalita's body lying down.

I swear he panicked and died. After Caspian says that he saw Lalita in the forest, Kai flies off. He circled around for a long time but found no one. Oh, he actually met a forest nymph just now. Kai wants to question her but the forest nymph runs away, perhaps fearing dinner.

Kai then chased him into the woods. And he found Lalita unconscious, lying near a big tree. He then carried the girl out of there.

Lalita is back. This hug is real, he's not dreaming. He then looked around her.

The forest he had been trying to conquer was at the back, about a hundred meters from his current place.then the land they were treading at this time was actually a meadow with a river on his right side. The clear water reflects the shadow of the moon.

"There is a river." The girl muttered. "You weren't kidding that time." He smiled knot.

Kai may be a stranger to the village, but not to him. He was sure of Kai. And his belief is true, right? Look, her mother was wrong.

"What the hell are you doing in the woods?" Kai took a look at the girl's body. The end of her dress was slightly torn, her scarred hands were entangled with hanging roots, and her legs were scuffed full of cuts. Not to mention his puffy eyes. Did he just cry?

"Then is it true that there is a lake behind the forest?" The girl threw a distant gaze forward, towards the tightly lined pine forest.

Kai did not reply, busy flipping through Lalita's feet to see all her wounds.

"Then behind the lake there was another forest, then a mountain, then a forest, and behind it was really a small village?" Lalita asked again, not caring too much about the injuries all over her body. After he met this young man, all the fear and pain earlier seemed as if he could forget.

Kai sighed. She was so worried at the moment but the girl was busy discussing something else instead. He immediately grasped Lalita's palm and led her to the riverbank.

"Sit down." Said gently.

Lalita sat down, staring at the movements of the young man before her. Now he could only see the young man's expression actually looking anxious.

Kai tore off the tip of his shirt, wet it with river water then gently cleaned Lalita's wounds.

"Why are you there alone hemm?" the man asked, his hands still busy wiping Lalita's feet. Make the owner can't take his eyes off.

Lalita looked at Kai who was busy cleaning the wounds on his legs and hands. His black eyes glowed in shade, and his fingers felt so soft. Affectionately. His mother was definitely wrong, Kai was obviously a fine young man.

"I'm looking for you."

Kai looked up, staring at the pair of jade beads that somehow looked so beautiful tonight.

"Should it be tonight? Can't wait for tomorrow? I told you I live far away."

Fingers the girl down Kai's left palm. He then grasped gently, and carried the hand of the hand close to his chest. They then looked at each other, delving into a sense that had grown a long time ago.

"I can't if I don't see you. I can't if I don't see you." Lalita said softly, her fingers were so tightly grasping Kai's palm.

The young man looked back at every inch of the girl's face before him. Her caramel mane, her jade eyes, her bangir nose, and her red lips.

"Can you?" Lalita asked quietly, her eyes shining expectantly. "Can you not see me again? To not see me again?"

Kai touched Lalita's cheek. Rubbed it so soft. Slowly he approached, and gave a brief kiss there. Then he pulled his face a few inches, his black bead staring straight at the bead jade Lalita that sparkled happily.

"I can't. I can't possibly." He whispered for a moment before landing a gentle kiss on the forehead.

Two different lovers of the race are now sleeping, based on grass and roofed the night sky. They were so solemn looking at the stars up there.

"I'm sure you're acting that way because she doesn't know you yet." Lalita said, not taking her eyes off the sky.

Kai, who also did the same thing, said casually,

"Aren't you angry with her anymore?"

"No." Lalita shakes. "Mother loves me so much, that's why she's so."

"Then if you're not angry why still do not want to go home hemm?" Kai asked nosyly, then chuckled.

"It's been a night!" Lalita defended herself. "How can I go home?"

"And I said I could drive you.."

"You mean we walk through the dark forest again? I'm traumatized. Good we wait until the bright day tomorrow morning."

Kai let out a small breath. He could have flown through the forest quickly, as well as carrying the girl, but later his true identity would be revealed.

"But if you sleep here a lot of mosquitoes." Said the young man finally, forgetting his proposal to drive Lalita home.

The girl did not reply, so engrossed in staring at the millions of stars flickering up there. He then raised his palm to the sky, then asked curiously,

"How does it feel to be up there?"

"It's normal." replied Kai flatly.

He lived a thousand years more and often went back and forth up there. But there is no special impression. Just ordinary.

"When I was a kid, I wanted to fly. Just one time." The girl's story is spirit.

Kai just nodded ogah-ogahan.

"Are you like that too?" ask Lalita again, minutes later. There's no answer.

Lalita looked to the side. He found Kai closed. The young man's face looked so peaceful.

"Hopefully dream, Kai.." whispered the girl with a smile. Shortly before he drowned in a dream.

Far above them, Caspian was hovering so frenziedly. His heart was jovial because rarely could he see romance drama directly in plain sight. His head nodded happily to see the pair of lovebirds sleeping down there.

"Good sleep to you both. May you be happy forever."
