CHAPTER 37. BASTIAN'S HOME

Arriving in the room, Bastian lay his body on the bed, but fatigue did not make him forget Devani's shadow.

His mind drifted back, he remembered as Devani was walking hand in hand with Annisa and Mahen.

During the holidays, Bastian did disable his phone, he did not want to be bothered by anyone including calls from devani.

While sleeping, Bastian reactivated his phone. He saw there a lot of missed calls from Devani and his race mates.

What makes Bastian curious, there are many missed calls from unknown numbers, even more than the calls made by devani.

Then Bastian made a call to one of his race mates, he wanted to know why they called him over and over again.

When the call from Bastian was connected, he heard the voice of his best friend saying, "Bas! we thought you changed your number and didn't want to be friends with us anymore. Where have you been all this time, Bas? Don't you know something bad has happened to Devani?"

"What is my business! Whatever happened to Devani I don't care, she's nobody to me anymore. We don't have any relationship anymore" Bastian said.

"What! What happened to him and why was the injury so bad? Is he still racing?" ask Bastian who finally cares.

"So, he fell in the racecourse?" ask Bastian.

After closing his call, Bastian thought for a moment, he doubted if he could meet Devani, who he thought must be Mahen and his daughter there.

Bastian also took a towel and a bathrobe, then he prepared warm water in the bathtub to relax his body and mind that felt very tired.

After the bath, Bastian felt his body refreshed. Then she put on her nightgown, laying on her bed in the hope that tonight she could rest in peace.

However, his memory returned to what his friend had said about Devani's accident, and Bastian rushed to change his clothes in casual clothes, he took the car keys and put them in the address his friend had mentioned.

When Bastian arrived at an alternative medicine home, he asked someone who passed him, where Devani's room was being treated.
