In fact, Prophet Muhammad SAW also experienced deep sadness at the time of ‘amul huzni (year of sorrow), which is when he was left dead by his uncle Abu Talib and his beloved wife, who was, Khadijah bint Khuwailid.

If the heart is in a state of distress, prayer is the healer. Pray Tahajud for peace of mind.

Tahajud prayers are performed in the middle of the night, where most people sleep in their sleep and various activities of life stop, and the atmosphere is so quiet, quiet, and calm, and quiet, it is very supportive of the concentration of someone who will get closer (taqarrub) to Allah SWT.

In this situation we will be able to easily get the calm felt by the psychic or inner man.

Moreover, in Tahajud prayer there is a dimension of dzikrullah (remembering Allah). This is as Allah SWT said,

''(i.e.,) Those who believe and their hearts are at peace with the remembrance of Allah. Remember, it is only by remembering Allah that the heart becomes serene.'' (Ar-Ra'd: 28).

The Prophet said: "If any one of you wishes to do something, let him first perform the prayer of two rakaats in addition to the prayer of fardlu" (HR. Ahmad, Al-Bukhari, Ibn Hibban, Al-Baihaqi and others)

In addition to the sunnah prayer, there is also a prayer that we can say when we are in a situation of an anxious heart.

It means (O Allah, I take refuge in You from anxiety and sorrow. I take refuge in You from ineptitude and neglect. I take refuge in You from cowardice and cowardice. And I seek refuge from You from the debt and oppression of men).

By doing tahajud prayer will make the soul become stronger and the heart becomes calmer when facing trials.

A friend asked Rasulullah SAW, which “ prayers are the most important after obligatory prayers?” The Prophet replied,”Shalat Tahajud”. (CHR. Muslim).

Tahajud prayer becomes very extraordinary, because of its processing at midnight, in a state of silence, silence, quiet, calm so that we can be solemn to draw closer to Allah SWT.

Expand Dzikir and Istighfar

There are two practices of wirid dzikir that can be done, so that the heart becomes calm, first dzikir “Hasbunallah wa ni’mal wakiil” and second, dzikir “la haula wala quwwata illa billah."
