CHAPTER 53. WREAK DISAPPOINTMENT

Mahen went to the office after finishing his breakfast. As promised, later in the afternoon he would wait for mama and the others at Devina's tomb. They want to make a pilgrimage before the wedding.

Papa Andara also said goodbye to his iron to go to the office, while Hans as usual made a pact to go with his friends.

Annisa who is awake and has been bathed by Mbok Ijah, goes down and plays with Opanya.

While the mothers who are curious about what Devani and Mahen buy yesterday, feel kepo. They ask if Devani bought lingerie for her first night or not.

Devani just shook her head, she did not buy a single lingerie because she was embarrassed by Mahen.

Hearing Devani's confession, Mama Mahen so had an idea, he would go to the mall to buy gifts for his future daughter-in-law, namely in the form of lingerie.

"Papa Devani said he wanted to buy a house, uh it turns out Mahen has bought a house for Devani as a wedding gift. The house is also not far from here," said Mama Intan.

"Yes Jeng, Hans the story. Thankfully, they don't live far away from you, so you can still pay attention to your parents' circumstances and you can visit them often if you miss Annisa."

"True, I was afraid that if Devani was brought by Mahen to the Cambodian house, we would rarely meet them and here is really quiet" said Mama Intan.

When Devani thinks of Bastian, suddenly his phone rings, it turns out from Nindi, his friend who often hangs out at the cafe with Bastian and children.

Devani also received the call, he was very surprised, when Nindi told that Bastian vent his disappointment by participating in a wild race in the forbidden area, later tonight.

With a huff Devani said, "Please, you're preventing him! there is very dangerous, do not let him be a victim, die in vain and if life is useless" said Devani.

"It's Van, but Bastian won't listen to us, so please Van, meet him and stop him! only you can stop him" said Nindi.

"Where is he now, Nin?" ask Devani.

"Said the kids, today there is a rock climbing exercise, maybe he is currently there" said Nindi.

"Alright Nin, thank you for the information" said Devani.

"Together Van, we are very concerned to see the situation now Van," said Nindi again.

"Yes I know, I will try to prevent it" said Devina to make Nindi calm.

"I don't want anything bad to happen to him, but will Mahen let me go?" said again.

"It's up to me that if Mahen gets angry, right now, I'm going to see Bastian, after all he's my friend, I have to remind him, before it's too late."

Devani also tidied things up immediately, then she prepared, went to meet Bastian at the rock climbing training ground as informed by Nindi.

Devani said goodbye to Mama, on the grounds that there is important business with her friend, Mama Intan allowed it, but on condition that it should not be too long, said Mama Intan.

Devani agreed, promising to return as soon as possible, before lunch. Then Devani rushes to the garage, pulls out her car and goes to the address shared by Nindi just now to meet Bastian.

Arriving there, Devani searches for Bastian's whereabouts, but she does not find him.

Devani then asked Bastian's friends whom he knew and met there, but his friend also replied, today they have not seen Bastian coming.

Devani is confused, where should he look for Bastian again. He tried to call Bastian's phone, but the number was never active, from the moment he refused to return with Bastian the other day.

Finally, Devani chose to surround the place, before returning home, she hoped to meet with Bastian soon.

It turns out Devani was lucky, she just saw Bastian's car get into the parking lot. Devani waited until Bastian got out of his car, then he approached and said, "Bas, wait! I want to talk!" exclamation Devani.

Bastian turned towards a voice that was not unfamiliar to him, he was surprised, when he saw Devani was in that place.

"What are you looking for me Van? We have no more business!" bastian.

"Please Bas, just give me a minute, there's something I want to talk to you about" Devani said.

"There's nothing more we need to talk about Van, go!" expel Bastian.

"I hear you're gonna race tonight in that dangerous place, Bas?" ask Devani.

"Why indeed? nothing to do with you. Woe or no I, it's my business, you don't have to interfere. Go then! Don't mind me anymore!" bastian said as he left Devani.

"Wait Bas! Just for a moment, please listen to me! You have to cancel that race, I don't want anything to happen to you!" shouts Devani.

"Sorry! No one can stop me, this is my hobby, this is my life and it's none of your business or anyone else's!" bastian ketus.

Devani is sad to see Bastian like this, but he is confused about what else to do to prevent Bastian.

Devani chased after Bastian again, then said, "I'm sorry Bas, if you did this all because of me, because you want to vent your disappointment and anger. Please Bas, think of your safety, think of the people who love you, especially your mama" Devani said.

"Go home! I'm busy, I still have work to do" Bastian said without stopping his steps.

Devani was out of her mind and words, she looked at Bastian who left without looking back at her. Bastian was angry and hurt.

Now there is no choice but to leave the place and go home as promised to the mother.
