CHAPTER 66. SUCCESSFULLY LIBERATED DEVANI

Mahen and Hans had already arrived first at the Bastian family villa. In order not to arouse suspicion, Mahen turned off his car engine before entering the villa grounds.

Then Mahen and Hans walked over to the guard who was cleaning the lawn in the courtyard of the villa.

"Excuse me Mang" said Mahen.

"Well, what's up Den?"

Look Mang, we're looking for Bastian, is Bastian in Mang?" ask Mahen.

The guard was silent, he hesitated to answer, because he did not know Mahen and Hans, after all Bastian had also advised, let no one know if he and Devani come and will stay there.

"Sorry Den, Den Bas is not here. It's been a long time for your family not to come here" Mamang told a lie.

"Oh, that's it Mang," said Mahen disappointed.

But Hansen nudged Mahen's arm and Mahen pretended to ignore Hans's reluctance. Then Mahen said again to the guard, "Well Mang, then we'll excuse you, if Bastian comes here, just say hi Mang, his friend came looking," said Mahen.

"Well Den, Later if Den Bas comes, I will convey. Sorry, I'm sorry Den, want to continue the work," said Mamang who did want to avoid for fear of his lies in knowing Mahen.

Mahen pulled Hans arm, taking him away from the place. At first Hans refuses, but due to getting a wink from Mahen, he finally finds out, if Mahen just wants to pretend to leave.

They returned to the car and Mahen said, "We have to infiltrate Hans, I know Mamang was lying and I caught a glimpse of Jeep Bastian's car next to the villa, although not so obvious because it is covered with lush trees," said Mahen

"Yes, I saw Hen too, so I grabbed your arm" Hans said.

"Look, I'll infiltrate inside, you wait for Papanya Bastian to arrive, just catch up with me inside" said Bastian.

"Well Hen, you have to be careful!" said Hans.

"Yes, I go first," Mahen replied as he climbed up the wall of the Villa yard guardrail which happened to be not too high.

Mahen looked around and it turned out that this Villa was not much of a guard so, he could easily infiltrate inside.

He only saw two maidservants busy cooking in the kitchen, then Mahen went into the living room hiding behind the sofa and decorative urns that were there.

As Mahen was about to move to another place, he saw Bastian rush out of a room while carrying a basin filled with water and holding a small towel.

Mahen's feeling was not good, then after Bastian was not seen, Mahen immediately slipped into the room.

Mahen was surprised to see Devani with a pale face lying on the bed with a blanket covering her body.

Then, Mahen held Devani's forehead which felt a little hot and finally he knew that Bastian had just finished compressing her.

"You're sick Van," monologue Mahen.

"I'll take you home Van and we'll go to the hospital" Mahen said as he lifted Devani's body into his arms.

Devani awakens, she opens her eyes, then her eyes are rounded when she sees herself already in Mahen's arms.

"Hen, did you really come? You looking for me, Hen?" ask Devani who is still limp.

Mahen nodded, clutching Devani tightly while saying, "Calm down! You're safe now. You have Van fever? I'll get you out of here and we'll go to the hospital" Mahen said.

Mahen did not have time to answer, apparently Bastian came from the kitchen and saw Mahen who came out of the room while holding Devani.

"Let go Devani Hen! You can't take her away, she's mine and we're getting married!" bastian shouted while trying to snatch Devani from Mahen's embrace.

Attractive pull also occurs, making Mahen almost fall because of holding Devani's weight.

Then Devani shouted, "Stop the Bas! I am not yours, I am a free woman and have the right to make a choice! So please, let me go with Mahen" said Devani, who was still in Mahen's arms.

"You heard it was Bas! So respect Devani's decision, let us go!" pinta Mahen's.

"No! I'm not gonna let Devani go! Realize Van, you don't love him. Your household will not be happy. Marry me, Van, please. I promise I won't let you down and I'll make you happy" Bastian said as he pulled Devani back from Mahen's arms.

As Bastian was about to get Devani, Papa Calvin and Hans from the front, he said out loud, "Stop the Bus! Stop your madness, or the police will come arrest and imprison you."

"But Pa! We love each other, I don't want Devani to marry Mahen!" said Bastian did not lose out loud from the Papa.

"You have no right to decide who the girl will marry! That's his life, so let him choose" said Papa Calvin, who has lowered his tone.

Then Papa Calvin asked Devani, "Son, make your choice, do not be afraid, it is your right."

"Thank you, sir" Devani told Papa Calvin.

Then Devani looked at Bastian as she said, "I'm sorry Bas, I'll go with Mahen and tomorrow we'll get married."

Hearing Devani's final decision, Bastian's body rushes to the floor, she breaks down and sheds tears, regretting her fate, that she has lost the woman she loved so much.

Papa Calvin said to Mahen, "Go! Bring your future wife, let me calm Bastian, my son.

Mahen took Devani away from the villa with Hans. Hans ran towards Mahen's car which he had already moved to the villa's courtyard. Then Hans opened the back door, so that Mahen could immediately enter and sit Devani there.

After the older brother sat comfortably while hugging Devani, Hansen immediately drove away from the Villa of the Bastian family.

Hansen asked where he would take Devani, whether to go straight home or go to the hospital.

Mahen asked Hans to take them home only, later let the doctor who was asked to come home to check on Devani's condition again.

Hans drives a car at a speed towards the Andara family residence, while Mahen, while still hugging Devani calls his parents, telling them that they are on their way home with Devani.

The parents are grateful that Devani has been found, then papa Andara calls the family doctor to come to his house immediately.

Devani had a history of chronic gastric disease, fearing that the disease was relapsing, because as long as Devani was held by Bastian, he did not eat and drink anything.

According to Andara, let their family doctor who will come to check on Devani, because the Doctor is familiar and knows how to provide suitable treatment for Devani when the disease recurred.
