HE'S NOT HUMAN
CHAPTER 17
Bella woke up from her sleep in surprise. He immediately got up and sat down, and he relaxed his gaze throughout the whole room. Cabinets, study tables, books arranged, to paint the room. Bella breathed her leg. He was in his own room.
From the window, Bella can see the sun has not yet risen, from the bluish color of the sky maybe about an hour away. Bella rubbed her face rough. He was a little sultry because his uniform has not been changed since the incident at his school yesterday.
Since the incident in Asphalus Park, he does not remember what happened after. As he remembered he was very angry with Arro for lying about his mother. Bella bends her legs and hides her face between her knees. Bella felt alone again. Her tears had begun to reminisce, but she believed that Arro had done nothing to Jocelyn. I don't know what really makes Bella angry. The fact that Arro was the cause of Jocelyn leaving, or the fact that Jocelyn chose to leave her.
The knock from the bedroom door, made Bella hastily wipe away her tears. If it wasn't Arro, then it must have been Levi knocking. Only the two of them took turns to look after him. Bella tidied up her clothes, then got out of her bed and opened the door. There Arro stood waiting for him.
“What's up?” ask Bella with a kettle.
“Can I come in?”
“for what?”
Arro did not reply, he pushed the door open a little wider, allowing her to reach Bella. “To hug you.”
Bella is fixated, she can't fight back when Arro's body has been clutching her tightly. Bella's defense collapsed, her tears rushing. “Why did you make my mama go too? Why?” Bella banged on Arro's back to vent her anger.
Arro did not answer. He would only let Bella vent her anger. It just keeps tightening that gap.
After feeling that Bella had calmed down, Arro loosened his embrace and forced Bella to look at him. Arro gently rubbed the remains of the water droplets on Bella's cheeks. “Bella listen, I didn't hurt Jocelyn. I just made him choose. The choice was whether he would use the money I gave him to use with you, or use that money for his own life. And ... Jocelyn chose to leave you and enjoy the money herself.”
“No. Mama's not like that. Even the money sent by my papa company, mama used to pay for my school,” rebut Bella. He doesn't want to believe Arro's story.
“Bel, do you know why Jocelyn always comes out every day week to night?”
Bella nodded weakly. Yeah, it's been Jocelyn's custom since Robert's death.
“He met with Antonio. Robert's boss at his workplace first and ..” Arro paused, actually he did not want Bella to know this secret, “they already had a relationship even before Robert died. The accident that took Robert's life was due to the plans of both of them.”
Bella stiffened, her eyeballs enlarged, her tears that had stopped flowing, slowly began to fall again. Bella's heart suddenly throbbed in pain. His head turned in revolt. What's wrong? What did I miss? Why did mom do that? Wasn't the life of the four of us very happy?
Bella fell down. Bella held her very sore chest. Every night she prayed at sunrise, Jocelyn would knock on her bedroom door and wake her to school. Just like before.
Bella shook her head strongly. He doesn't want to believe Arro's story, “why?? Why did mom kill papa? And what about Kenzo? What ... mama is also the ..” Bella could not continue her sentence.
Arro lowered his position, hugged Bella and directed her to stand up. Bella's squeezed legs couldn't make her stand up. Without waiting for Bella's approval, Arro carries Bella and drops her on his bed.
“Bel, drink first.” Arro thrust the glass he had prepared when Bella fell asleep earlier.
Bella drank the water in the glass very greedily. He even finished that glass of water with just three gulps. Surprisingly, his feelings became calmer.
“Bel, listen to me. I can fly now and look for Jocelyn just to tear her apart if you allow me.” Arro was serious about his words. Bella only needed to nod, even a weak nod would she consider approval.
“Good. Promise me not to cry anymore. My heart burns every time you cry.”
Bella nodded.
Arro takes a deep breath, his heart tells him to stop telling stories, but Bella has to know what happened. “The work accident that happened with Robert was the dirty plan of Jocelyn and Antonio. They even had insurance for the accident. The money from the insurance they used to finance their fancy date.” Arro pause. He picked up Bella's fingers and grabbed her. “For your own sister. It was a pure accident. It was the beginning of Jocelyn's estrangement with Robert.”
Bella only listened to him while occasionally wiping her tears.
“Jocelyn can't kick you out because your name is in that insurance letter. If Robert has child dependents, the insurance fund will be more and more. Therefore, Jocelyn and Antonio enter your name as a child who is still underwritten and can not release you until you finish school.” Arro now stands and opens a thin curtain hanging from the window of Bella's room. Arro opened the window of the room and let fresh air in. The air that Arro always likes, in addition to Bella's body scent.
Arro was silent for a little while, his jaw hardened, his hands clenched tightly. Then he continued his sentence, “they are waiting for you until you finish school ... to be able to kill you too.”.
When he learned of the plan, Arro had almost lost his mind. Had it not been for Levi warning him, it might have been a long time ago that Jocelyn had been found lifeless.
Bella gasped at the words. “What do you mean?”
“They have prepared your accident insurance. On that paper, even you've signed the agreement.”
Bella then remembered, she had been invited by Jocelyn to sign a document. Jocelyn said it was an emergency fund for her if Jocelyn died.
“Then where is my mama now?”
“Med in Hawaii, with Antonio.”
Bella scrunched her forehead. “Where did you know?”
Arro showed me a smirk and then he chuckled, “Bella .. Of course I know where they are. I always know where and what my enemies are moving.”
Arro's aura suddenly tightened. Bella can feel it. He knew, Arro must have been very resistant to his wishes.
Bella squeezes her hand. He was angry and disappointed. Very disappointed. His heart grimaced a little. But, one thing is certain. He will never miss Jocelyn again.
Arro took his breath in, letting the morning air clear his mind. He approached Bella and gently rubbed Bella's mane. “Prepare to school. I'll prepare breakfast for you.” Then Arro walked to the door and closed the door to Bella's room.
After closing the door to Bella's room, Arro did not immediately leave. There is one story he did not tell Bella. It is true that Jocelyn was in Hawaii with her lover. But he didn't tell Bella Jocelyn's condition right now. Arro pulled his lips slightly, he grinned. “I'm sorry Bella, for making your mama in the deadliest prison.” The sentence was uttered from Arro's murmur without the slightest bit of regret there.
Meanwhile, Bella is still leaning on the *headboard* of her bed. Ah, true. School. Today is the Final Examination. Now, that's Bella's priority. He completed his education, found a job, then lived on his income. A bright light began to enter his room, the sun had already risen. Bella took her breath to let the fresh air fill her lung cavity. After he felt better, he got out of his bed and rushed to prepare.
