Chapter 36: The Consecration

Little by little Mara opened her eyes, she found herself in a room with a little girl beside her. With his body still wounded, he tried to get up.

"Ugh.."

The little girl realized Mara's voice, she approached Mara who forced herself to stand up.

"Don't move, your wounds are still bad I just gave you a heal potion" said the little girl.

Mara could not feel her left hand bent to form the letter L.

"You're so bad, I hope help will come soon."

The little girl helps Mara to get back to bed, she gives him one more heal potion.

"Who are you? where's this?" ask Mara.

"I'm Desmona and now you're in my house. Your body is still injured, so don't move much" he said.

Mona helps Mara get back to bed and drinks a bottle of medium-sized heal potion.

"I'll remember that, thank you for your help" Mara said with great gratitude.

"Together," replied Mona.

Mona does everything she can to help him, trying to straighten Mara's crooked left hand. Before that, he had Mara bite down on a towel to hold back the sound of her scream.

Mara was in a lot of pain when her hands were straightened, her right hand was so tightly clutching the pillow next to her. "Once again, I thank you. You're good at treating, your stitches are very neat. Where did you learn all this?," asked Mara, after responding to the wound on her chest that had been sewn, her left hand had been bandaged and given a buffer (temporarily).

"My mom was a healer, she taught me how to do medical techniques since I was a kid. Although not very proficient and have not mastered healing magic, at least I can give you temporary help," Mona said.

Mona manages to stop Mara's bleeding, but Mara's ribs and right hand are still broken and there are organs in her body that were injured by Iraken's puncture. Suddenly someone's voice came from outside, as Mona examined her, she looked out the window. Apparently Iraken and his friends are still passing around the area of his house, even they began to approach Mona's house.

"Geez.., they're here. What are they looking for?" mara panicked.

The situation is getting precarious and Mona is getting more frightened, seeing a group of armed men approaching her house. Mara who realized Mona who was pecking near the window also came to approach with stride. He saw a group of people chasing him begin to smell his whereabouts.

"About an hour and a half" replied Mona.

"Good, that's more than enough."

"What are you doing? " ask Mona.

"The group of gunmen who approached your house was after me. That's why they came closer, I have to get out of here" Mara replied.

"Help won't come on time, I'd better get out of here soon" Mara said.

"Wait a minute, but what's your wound?" ask Mona worried.

"As long as the effects of this painkiller have not been exhausted, I can still go a long way," Mara replied, even though her strength was not enough.

"Does your house have any other way out besides the front door?" ask Mara.

"Yes, there's a back door near the kitchen" Mona replied.

"My earrings are there."

In accordance with his wishes, he was escorted to the back door. Mona tells her that after opening this door, she will see a single road leading towards the highway. With a slight stagger, Mara approached and held the door leaf.

"Let me help you" Mona said.

"No, you just helped me get here. You've seen, haven't you? how scary they are. Do you want to deal with them?" reply Mara.

Mona was silent, Mara's words had a point. But leaving injured women in pursuit by a group of armed men is not something that can be allowed.

"I'm so grateful that you're willing to help people you don't know, but you're here enough. Little girl like you can't get dragged into trouble that's none of your business" Mara said, opening the back door. Mona could only stare at him.

Before coming out, Mara looked back for a moment. Staring at the very light little girl with a feeling of gratitude, it was inconceivable her fate if Mona did not help her.

"I owe you my life, see you," said Mara, and she left Mona's residence.

Mona can only sculpt, watching Mara leave. He did not know what to say, he could not let the wounded Mara go alone but besides that he also did not want to deal with the gunmen. Really worried about him at the moment.
