Chapter 4: Exit Part 2

"I hate enemies that can fly."

Darius stared at the fire monster before him.

Pamella had already told the location where one of the core of her body was. Arriving at that location Darius, he had to face a giant eagle covered in fire.

"Why didn't you tell me that the core of your body was inside a flying creature? you know, I'm gonna make a bow and arrow before I get here." Complain Darius. He was unable to reach the great eagle. While the eagle continuously spewed fire towards Darius.

"I only know where my core is, because my five core bodies are connected to each other. But I don't know what kind of creature has used it" Pamella replied casually. .

Pamella makes long-distance communication with Darius, using her telepathic abilities. His telepathic ability can reach a very long distance and is not able to be reached by anyone's telepathic abilities.

"You should have said that earlier." Darius was upset. The eagle mocked him because he could not reach him. This caused Darius's anger to flare up.

It is a hot spring 50 kilometers from the black tower. Precisely inside a volcano, Darius tried to seize the core of Pamella's body which was in the heart of the fire eagle monster.

An unsupportive fighting area accompanied by the heat of lava felt. This added to the difficulty for Darius to defeat the monster. Plus, the enemies he faced had the ability to fly.

"You're also a knight of the sword, so a bow won't be of any use to you." Pamella said based on what she knew. But that sounded like a mockery to Darius. As Pamella knew, each knight had only armed skills according to his class.

Like a knight archer. In accordance with his class as an archer, then surely his ability only lies in archery. The class is a reflection of the skill of a knight and the position of a knight in battle will be in accordance with the class carried by that knight. That's what Pamella knows about knights.

"I won't be able to be crowned the leader of the golden knight army, with just one skill." Reply Darius. Before he jumped high, crashing the eagle of fire.

"I'm tired of watching you fly!" With full power. Darius cut off the wings of the flying creature. Instantly, the eagle fell to the rocks. It was an opportunity for Darius. The knight's sword swing beheaded the eagle of fire.

Darius' body was bathed in sweat due to the heat of the place. Quickly, he took the core of Pamella's body. The bright red magic gem managed to pull it from the heart of the eagle. Judging from its appearance, this gem may have powers that generate heat, such as fire and lava.

"I finally got it." Darius was about to move out of his place. Suddenly, the ground where Darius stood cracked and shattered. I'm sure he's right into the hot lava.

"YARGH!!!"

Darius groaned loudly.

"FROM!!!" Shouted Pamella, hearing Darius' groan.

Darius pulled his feet from the hot lava. This is so unexpected. He watched as his right leg was enveloped by the still-flaming lava. There was a strangeness that Darius felt on his leg.

"Eh? not hot at all." Lahar still covered Darius's right leg, but the heat of the lava was not felt. Darius forgot to blink watching the extraordinary thing.

"Darius, are you okay? why are you yelling?" ask Pamella.

"My legs were exposed to hot lava, but it didn't feel hot at all. How come?" Darius.

"The answer is to you. Look at you, Darius." Pamela answered briefly. At first Darius did not understand the meaning of Pamella's words, a few moments later he also understood the meaning of the words. He realized that his power was growing.

He again tried to touch the hot lava, this time with his own hands. As a result, the hot lava had no effect on him. Darius seemed to touch the warm water, as he dipped his hand into the lava.

"It's amazing." His mind, then he pulled out his hand from the lava. The hot temperature that hit him slowly became warm. Now he did not feel hot anymore inside the volcano. Darius asked Pamella about the power that was within her.

"Go back to the tower. I'll answer your question." So reply.

Darius thought of Yui's words that he didn't forget.

That was what Yui said when the golden knight group meeting took place.

Darius arrived at the tower. Pamella is seen sitting gracefully on a large table near the altar. As soon as possible, Darius wants to uncover the power he has. She tells Pamella about the words Yui used to tell her. Pamella admits that what Yui says is the truth.

"The magician (Yui) is right, you do have rare powers." Pamella took the core of her body from Darius' hand.

"I felt my core strength decrease when you touched it, Darius," Pamella said. He placed his body on the altar.

"At first I thought that my strength was reduced due to being used by the eagle monster. But it turns out the real cause is you." Pamella.

"So you want to tell me that I've absorbed your powers?" ask Darius. Pamella nodded. He took Darius up to the altar. Pamella brought Darius' hand closer to the core of her body. The power at the core of his body was absorbed into Darius' hand, before Darius' hand touched it.

"This is impossible. I didn't know I had this kind of power." Darius could not believe what was happening in front of his eyes. Pamella kept Darius' hand away from the core of her body. Pamella's core strength stopped being absorbed. Darius felt the power of Pamella that had entered his body.

"When you take my core, you absorb the power that's in it. That's why you were fine when you fell into the lava." Pamella explained. Only now, Darius knew of this power.

"So this is the power that Yui is referring to" Darius said. Pamella tells us that this power has been in Darius for a long time. He predicted that the power began to rise since Darius was trapped in the dark dimension.

Darius still could not believe this reality. He was born into a family of apple farmers. Both of his real people were just ordinary residents who had neither special abilities nor rare powers.

He also never demanded anything other than martial arts. But why would he have such great power? even his younger brother Drake, who was already the leader of the magic army, had no such power or ability. Why would Darius have this kind of power?.

After thinking back, Darius began to assume that the changes that occurred to his body were not because of the monster meat he ate. Except for this power. The prejudice may be true. The ability of his strength was definitely able to absorb the power of the monsters he consumed. So now Darius became strong and equaled the strength of monsters.

The horn that grew on his head was similar to the Hydra horn that he often ate.it further strengthened Darius's prejudice.

"Maybe it's true." Inner Darius.

"I don't know the origin of your power. To be sure, it is not a power that can be obtained by demanding magic, because the absorbing power that you have is not from magic. What an interesting rarity." Pamella's admiration for Darius.

"To be honest I still don't understand why I can have this power. But now the most important thing is to open the way home." Inner Darius. He immediately asked Pamella where the location of the next core of his body was.

"Awhile.." Pamella closed her eyes. Focusing on connecting himself with the other core of his body. Pamella sensed the presence of one of her body cores from the east direction of the tower, about 19 kilometers away. This one is much closer than the previous one. Pamella told Darius.

"I hope this time I don't come face to face with flying creatures, it's troublesome." Darius muttered as he stepped out of the altar room. Pamella was a bit hesitant to let Darius go right after finishing the grueling fight. He was worried that Darius was not maximal in carrying out his duties.

"Didn't you want to rest first? you just got back from a grueling fight. Are you sure you want to go again?" ask Pamella.

"I still don't feel tired" replied Darius, the fatigue of his body was gone as he absorbed the strength in Pamella's core. His strength which was drained due to the past fight, was already replenished. Darius is ready for the next fight. The Goddess who was nearby only remembered that her actions had just restored Darius' power.

"Darius, my powers that you absorb have a hot element. That is fire and lava, you can use it if you understand how." Pamella's message coincided with Darius' exit from the altar room.

"Did he hear my words? I'm not sure he heard it," he said.

"Let's go, I'll tell him later." He again sat on the table, playing the core of his body in the form of a jewel.

"Darius, you're an interesting person" Pamella said.
