End of Group Tasks

Shin pulled me to the corner of the stage. Then he picked up a plastic ball from the cardboard box at the side. "Use this" he said as he handed the ball to me.

"For what?" I looked at the ball confused.

"For your show" he said flatly as he folded his arms. "You can play the ball in that costume. I'm sure the kids will love it" she said confidently.

"I'm not a clown!" I said I was not happy. They really treat me like a show clown. This is not fair to me!

"Hmph! From the very beginning your task was indeed to be a clown" Shin replied in a tone that irritated me. This guy is really a bitch!

"Don't be too spoiled" he said.

Then he started moving towards me.

'Eh? What do you want this guy?' I frowned confused.

Shin suddenly pulled me up and stood behind me. He held my hand suddenly and my back shuddered as it touched his chest.

"I will teach you how to use it" Shin said as he held onto both of my hands.

"Like this" he started teaching me how to move my hands to throw a ball.

DEG! My heart is beating fast. I've never been this close to a man. But now I'm really hugged from behind. My back touched his chest. I felt her warm hands as she held mine. And I also felt his breath on top of my head as he spoke. I'm really nervous. I haven't even had a chance to fantasize about dirty things because my brain stops functioning right now.

"You understand, right?" said Shin.

"Aah!" i jerked. My brain that was frozen in an instant melted back.

My face immediately flushed in embarrassment. And my body's evasive reflexes. I immediately turned away from Shin. "I understand" I said while trying to keep my distance.

Shin was puzzled to see the stupid girl in front of him suddenly run away and move away. But, he didn't think about it anymore. "Practice the right way. I'll be watching you" he said as he sat on the chair and crossed his legs.

"Uhhh.." I could only frown while looking at him cynically.

But I kept doing what he told me to do because I didn't want the show to fail.

After several tries, it turns out that this ball show is quite easy. But it must be different to play with that monster costume. The costume made it hard for me to move and I'm sure it wasn't easy to throw the ball.

"next show. Miss prepare!" yelled one of the helpers towards us.

Eh? Rin is done? Time really passes by quickly. I didn't even notice.

"Prepare. I will watch you in front" Shin said as he moved from his seat.

I rushed into the costume and waited from behind the curtain. I'm still waiting for the cue from the helper to get into the stage.

The helper gave me a sign. The curtain in front of me opened and I went straight in.

When I entered I heard the cheers of the children and made me freeze on the spot.

Lothawat! My brain stopped working again because I was too nervous.

But then I saw Shin, who was under the stage, waving his hand at me. Finally my brain worked again and I started to calm my nervousness. Let's relax, relax....I try to encourage myself.

Shin gave an aba-aba to start the show. And I saw Shin also raise his hand telling me "Eagerness". It's impossible, right? I must have seen it wrong.

I'm starting to relax. And MC started opening his show. After the MC went down the stage, I immediately started the show. I don't know how to be a clown. So I just acted on instinct. Playing the ball was as taught while walking small around the stage.

I heard the laughter of the children. I think they like it. I'm sure it must look funny, unfortunately I can't see my own looks at the moment. Must be so embarrassing...

While I was enjoying my ball game, an unexpected incident occurred.

A SRETT! I stepped on something slippery in the corner of the stage and slipped! I couldn't balance my body because of that oversized clown costume and slowly my body started to go with the flow of gravity, falling down.

I looked down the stage and resigned.

'It was only half a meter tall. I'm not gonna break a bone because this costume is pretty soft. At most I'm just bruised' I try to think positive while closing my eyes.

'Eh? How come I don't feel pain? Getting stuck?'

I opened my eyes and saw Shin's face in front of me. Ah, this guy caught me in time!

Because once again being hugged by her, my heart was beating again. Reflex, I wrapped my hand around his neck. I can count this as "taking a chance in narrowness".

Uhhh!! This stupid mouth! I saw Shin timidly. I don't know if Shin heard it. But Shin's face changed.

"When are you going to let me go?" said Shin while frowning his forehead.

Uh! I immediately removed my hand from his neck and jumped down. My chest went up and down because my breathing was too fast. Good thing I'm wearing a costume, otherwise it's embarrassing. I can't control my face!! My face is flushed in shame at this moment!!

Shin directly faced the audience "How? Isn't the jump funny?" he said he was trying to distract.

The tense atmosphere changed. In an instant he changed the atmosphere to be conducive again/I heard the laughter of the children.

The Uwah! this guy is really great. He could turn his accident incident into a cover-up like that. Really great! He is a professional!

In the corner of the stage Lista stared in annoyance while gritting her teeth. The plan has failed. He had already painstakingly paid the helper to manipulate the stage. Put something slippery in the corner when the girl is about to perform. But what happened! He hugged Shin! That misfortune is really an advantage.

The show ended smoothly. And the participants have started to go home.

Darwin approached Nana anxiously backstage. "rabbit, are you okay?" tanyakanya.

Shin suddenly appeared and asked. "How did you fall? I know you're stupid. But I didn't think you were that stupid to throw yourself to the show" she said.

I stopped brushing my clothes and looked at him unhappily. "Who is stupid?!" I said annoyed with the veins that appeared in my head. "The stage is slippery, that's why I slipped. Does anyone want to hurt themselves? Not even a fool would do that" I grumbled.

'Something slippery?' Shin thought. He immediately checked on stage and approached the two helpers.

"How can the stage be like this? you guys didn't check the stage?" asked Shin not happy.

"We're sorry" the two helpers replied anxiously.

"We were completely negligent to check it because it was in the corner"

"Because we were in a hurry we completely forgot to double-check"

The second helper said. Of course those were the words that Lista had already made before for them, in exchange for the money of silence.

"Other times you should be careful and check it out. Or you never get hired again because you're not professional" Shin said.

"Sorry" the two helpers bowed deeply.

"Alright, since the show is over, you can clean it up" Shin said as he looked at the two helpers. "Remember! Don't repeat it again!"

Darwin and I saw in the corner that Shin was scolding the two helpers. He's a really tough guy. But he's not as cold as I thought. Although he scolded the two helpers, his tone was not excessive, but firm. It makes me feel like deja vu. When you get scolded by the class president for not doing PR, then one class gets affected.

"Nana, are you okay?" Rin approached me with a worried face.

"I'm fine" I replied with a smile.

"What if we celebrate our success? Can we eat together?" Darwin suddenly looked at us with enthusiasm.

I saw Rin's face a little unpleasant. She must have wanted to take care of her grandmother because she was sick. And it's late at night. She must have wanted to refuse, but it was not nice to say so.

"I can't" I answered directly.

I saw Rin flinch. And look at me with a smile.

"All right." said Darwin disappointed. "But next time we have to eat together okay?"

Rin and I nodded.

Finally the show went well. I drove Rin home on her bike. And once at the mansion, I immediately threw myself down from exhaustion and fell asleep.
