After Darwin fled, the atmosphere became silent. Even the maid who had previously helped the celebration smiled awkwardly with her mouth twitching before pulling herself back into the back kitchen. Thus leaving only the two of them, Nana and Shin.

I looked at Shin. Shin shifted his gaze. When I saw Shin's cold and uncomfortable attitude, I felt a little disappointed. There was a bit of guilt too because I knew I was being too aggressive.

"Pulse...Shin" I tried to open the conversation. "If you want to go, it's okay. I'm going home after finishing the cake" I said nervously with my head down. I'm honestly a little sad. Why did Darwin fool that left us both. Didn't he know that Shin didn't like me at all? This will make the atmosphere very gloomy.

Shin's heart was pierced as he heard the stupid girl's sad voice. He felt uneasy when he saw the girl grieving. Shouldn't this be a fun celebration? Why is the atmosphere so bleak like this? Is this his fault?

Shin closed his eyes for a moment before he opened his mouth. "Let's sit. I will accompany you to eat" he said. He strengthened his determination to hold the girl's wrist to invite her to sit face to face.

I was a little surprised to find out Shin touched my hand. Shin's hand felt very cold and cool, but it was also soft. Come to think of it we've never held hands before. And unconsciously my face flushed.

I took the cake in front of me, cut it into pieces. Then put one piece on Shin's glass plate. Then I started eating my share.

Shin did not touch the cake at all. He looked at me with a flat face and made me feel very awkward. I subconsciously ate the cake in an elegant style and flushed face. I usually eat wild. But somehow my heart is uncomfortable if I do it in front of Shin. I'm afraid she's getting even more hateful towards me because of my aggressive and disrespectful attitude!

I ate the cake for a mouthful while thinking. Shin and the others are just characters from the shoujo comics I read. But why do they look like real humans and even make me flutter? I know they live in this world, but still they're just imaginary characters, if I use my logic.

I no longer lowered my head and steeled my resolve to look at Shin. Finally our eyes were fixed. Honestly speaking, when our gazes met, my heart was pounding very hard. I like handsome men. But this sensation is a little different.

I shook my head quickly.

I can like a lot of handsome guys and make a harem. But love and falling in love are different. If I really fell in love with her, I was afraid I would end up bad for not being able to control my logic. Plus I'm nobody in this world. Only an additional character had bad luck.

Shin frowned. The girl daydreamed, then suddenly stared at her intensely, then daydreamed again. He was confused by his behavior. "Shin, didn't you eat it?" ask me after breaking my daydream.

Shin's eyes narrowed and he briefly replied "i'll eat it later"

"What are you thinking?" asked Shin and made me quite surprised because he asked me.

"I didn't think of anything" I replied innocently while shaking my head. "Anyway, thank you Shin for the celebration" I said solemnly with a reddened face.

Shin frowned he wanted to say that he had nothing to do with this celebration. These are all Darwin's ideas. "That's.." but he immediately stopped the thought and replied instead "No problem..."

Shin could have replied "it wasn't my idea, there was no need to thank me" in his cold tone. That was his usual attitude. But somehow his heart refused to do that. Especially after he saw the stupid girl's face, his heart softened. And he tried to control the words that came out of his mouth and tried to correct his cold demeanor.

"About the engagement party, do you want anything?" ask Shin then.

"Eh?" I completely forgot about the engagement. But I didn't expect Shin to ask me about the engagement. Doesn't he like the engagement?

"I don't want anything. We can do an engagement party with a common theme" to be honest this is too far to think of singles like me! I've never had a real life with a man! But when I got into this world I had to get engaged at a young age! It doesn't make sense to me! So I didn't think of anything at all about the engagement party. Just let it go as usual.

Shin's eyes narrowed. "All right" he said later. "I'll try as I can"

I kept eating and finishing my piece of cake. Then I refill my plate with another piece of cake. But Shin had not touched the cake on his plate at all.

"You really don't eat?" ask me again with a confused expression.

"I'll eat" Shin said as he picked up his little spoon and started putting the cake into his mouth.

Holy hooch! When he eats, he is very handsome! It's really a beautiful sight, ah~ I'm starting to ignore Shin's eating scene. Why does he have such perfect posture?

Shin realized that Nana was looking at him with such a gaze again.

'Is this stupid girl back to her habits?' thought Shin.

"Shin~" Nana started calling her name with a smile. This made Shin shudder a little.

"You promised something, didn't you? Swimming pool?" continued Nana with eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

Shin's mouth twitched. "You remember it quickly" Shin replied wryly.

"Of course!" I replied happily while nodding my enthusiastic head.

"Two more days I'll take you" Shin replied later.

"Alright~"

We talked for almost half an hour. The topic we talked about was just about the engagement party. I didn't pay much attention to it because Shin mentioned some foreign things that I didn't know at all. Like this brand and that brand. I don't really think too much about the brand of this world because it doesn't really matter. Honestly, I also do not know what brands are in the closet or my shoes. So I just nodded whenever Shin spoke, pretending that I understood.

"You look very enthusiastic about this engagement" I commented while throwing a smile.

"It's an obligation" Shin replied briefly.

"You can cancel it if you don't want you to know? Even though I knew it would be hard to fight your own mother. But this engagement is related to your own life not your mother's" I said later. Although I had expected her to accept the engagement due to her mother's insistence. Still, he had to decide for himself what to do with his life. He could refuse if he didn't like it.

Shin's eyes narrowed. "You don't like being engaged to me?" he said suddenly with a sharp tone.

I blinked in shock. "Ehhhh?"

"Aren't you the one who doesn't like being engaged to me?" I asked back.

Shin frowned and replied in a soft tone. "I don't hate you. So everything's fine"
