Shin and Darwin

I feel so sleepy now. My eyelids are heavy. You can't help it anymore, I'll sleep first. After parting ways with everyone at the dining table, I headed straight for my room happily. I'm going to sleep well today, really a nice day.

Everyone also left one by one, finishing their meal. Even Lista also asked her friend to deliver her to the room in a listless tone. It was shocking that he did not ask Shin to do that.

Everyone finally left, leaving Shin and Darwin at the dinner table.

Shin put down his chopsticks and looked at Darwin seriously.

"What do you mean by your actions?" he stared at Darwin.

The normal Darwin would be frightened by that gaze and chose to throw a joke and run away. But now, Darwin was acting very abnormally.

"What do you mean?" he asked back with a bold tone while twirling the wooden chopsticks on his finger.

"You know Nana's my fiance, don't you? Don't act out of bounds" Shin reprimanded in a wise tone. "There's a line between friends, you've obviously crossed it"

"Heh~" Darwin laughed mockingly. "Are you jealous of your best friend now?"

Shin's face instantly turned sour. "Don't talk nonsense!" snapped it. "I'll never be jealous. It's not important to do something like that"

"Pffttt hahahaha" Darwin immediately laughed out loud. "This is what I don't like about being small" he said sharply. "You think continuing to act like that would make your figure really cool?" insinuations.

"What other nonsense are you talking about?" Shin raised his tone now. He's a little emotional.

"Aren't you jealous of me? Why don't you just tell me honestly? I wanted to say something important a long time ago as well" he played the glass in front of him. "I realized how I felt about the little rabbit. I like it" he said bravely.

Shin's eyes immediately glared. He quickly stood up then GRAB! Pulling Darwin's collar. "Stop your bullshit!" snarled with a sharp tone.

"What empty egg?" Darwin smiled mockingly. "I'm not kidding this time. I'm very serious"

"He's my fiance!" Shin emphasized his tone as if it was an absolute decision.

"Awtuan is just an empty department. I can still have it as long as he likes me" Darwin said indifferently. "You don't deserve to be his fiancee, anyway. If you really like someone, you will never make that person sad. But you've always treated Nana badly. Even you just made out with Lista and made her sad. If I were you, I would never make sad people I like" Darwin said, staring intently at Shin.

DEG!

Shin felt something stab at his heart. And it hurts so much.

'Did I do the wrong thing?' thought Shin. He began to wonder about his own actions.

"...."

Darwin noticed that Shin was pecking for a moment because of his words and he smiled. He removed Shin's hand from his shirt, then tidied up his shirt. After that he died at the dinner table.

"I'm really going to get it Shin. Don't be so confident. Because she wasn't like any other girl who's always crazy about you" Darwin uttered his last words before his figure disappeared.

Shin sat on the chair limply. He leaned his body on the chair and then turned his head to the ceiling. He raised one of his arms to his face to cover both of his eyes.

Shin's mind was very dazed now. He doesn't know what's wrong with his body. But that feeling of pain, sadness and worry was mixed up in him. He had never even been this busy when he thought about his business.

"Why is everything so complicated." murmured Shin. He doubted himself now.

Shin had never had any liking for someone. He didn't know how to realize that feeling. As he began to realize that he was interested in others, his wall of self-esteem instantly came and blocked all those feelings.

"Master, there's a problem" a waiter suddenly approached her and made all her daydreams scatter.

"What's wrong?"

"Miss Lista has a fever." said the waiter anxiously.

Shin immediately flinched. If the girl really had a fever at times like this it would be troublesome. The doctor will arrive tomorrow, no one can take care of him tonight.

"Wasn't she okay?" ask Shin.

"I don't know sir." replied the waiter softly. "Miss Lista's friend suddenly called me to tell you about this news...."

Shin rushed to Lista's room. Lista's friend who saw Shin immediately panicked.

"Lista fever!" he showed me the thermometer. "He was okay before. As I wanted to accompany her to sleep, she suddenly shivered in coldness and deliriousness. How'this?" said panic.

"Calm down" Shin immediately ordered the waiter to bring along a heat-lowering medicine and also a fever compress plaster.

"Shin..." Lista opened her eyes. Then he started holding her hand. "Don't leave me." she said weakly.

As Lista touched her hand, Shin felt a little nostalgic. He recalls the incident when he accompanied Nana on the ship. Everything is exactly like this.

Subconsciously Shin pensively and recalled those memories. He could even still remember the tender taste that came from Nana's hand sari and the warmth.

'Do I really like it?' thought Shin seriously. He wants to deny it again. But he immediately remembered Darwin's threat and felt misgivings. He's confused now. Should he agree to this strange feeling or prefer his pride again to pretend not to know.

"Sir, I've brought it" said the waiter. Shin's daydreams are back to being broken.

"Take care of him" Shin ordered.

The waiter took care of Lista carefully. He helped her take medicine and put the fever compress on her head. Shin did nothing and just observed

While Lista went through everything with a sour mood. He wanted Shin to take care of him. But it turns out that Shin had the lowly servant take care of him. Although Lista wanted to protest, she also could not express it because she was acting as a sick person now.

Actually, the list doesn't really hurt. His mood became worse as he was ignored back then. Then he started to rage.

Her best friend who accompanied her comforted her by giving her advice. Plans of feigning pain to get Shin's attention.

He manipulated the temperature in the thermometer by dipping it in warm water. Then told his best friend to run frantically looking for a waiter and called Shin here.

He had high hopes for this plan. But the target still treated her coldly.

"Rest" said Shin.

"Shin, don't leave me. Will you accompany me to sleep?" he said with sad eyes.

"sorry. The doctor will come tomorrow to take care of you. I'm really tired right now and want to rest" Shin said honestly. He really did lack sleep. And he had too many thoughts as well. His body and head were very tired now.

"..."

Shin left the room while thinking about the strangeness in his heart.
