If Tomorrow Never Come

If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 40. Social status

Reza takes Galuh to walk out of the room, invites him to meet the oma in the main room. Upon arriving there, he saw oma sitting with her father enjoying the food presented on the table.

“We meet oma on her desk,” said Reza tightened her hand, smilingly turning to Galuh who was walking beside her.

“But ..” Galuh hesitated, what a simple dress she wore was worthy enough to wear when meeting an oma there. Galuh held Reza's arm, looked at the man for a moment and then turned to look at the clothes he was wearing. “My clothes ..”

Reza stopped his steps and looked at Galuh with soft eyes. “You look beautiful with clothes attached beautifully on that body, yank. Oma must be so happy to see you coming.”

The blush! A red hue crept across Galuh's cheeks hearing the man's words just now. Shy with his half-down face he slipped his hand on Reza's arm. Galuh just need to get rid of the worry that had stopped in his mind, that's all. “Alright, I'm ready to meet with oma now.”

Reza smiled broadly, gently patting Galuh's hand on his arm. Half whispering he said to Galuh, “Trust me, You will instantly fall in love with oma when you first meet and get to know her.”

Reza guided him to a table occupied by the oma with his father who was at the front in the main room of his house.

The butler who was standing behind the oma table immediately lowered his body after seeing Reza's presence and rushed to welcome her arrival. He walked up to Reza and whispered to the man that his arrival and Galuh had been awaited since by his omanya.

“Aldi and Danil, have they both arrived, Mr Gun?” ask Reza.

“Mr Danil and Aldi are together with Mr.'s other friends in the park. The two of them came an hour ago while you were picking up Miss Galuh,” Gun explained.

“Thank you, Mr. Gun. Later I will meet them in the park,” said Reza nodded in understanding and the butler also stepped away from the presence of Reza and re-organized his men.

Reza and Galuh continued their steps closer to the oma table, the woman had apparently finished her meal and was sitting back and enjoying the chants of the band who were deliberately invited to enliven the event that night.

While his papa was seen walking to meet the invited guests who had just come after first saying goodbye to the oma.

Oma turned her head quickly when she felt someone's hand touching her shoulder slowly from behind. He was surprised and spontaneously hit the shoulder of his grandson who stood by bending his body and face very close to him.

“Basic naughty grandson, ngagetin Oma only.” Oma Ratna hit not just once, and Reza had to stop her by catching her hand and embracing her from behind.

“Mana Galuh who said you want to introduce Oma tonight, don't lie huh. Or you should be willing to match up with one of the female guests who came here!" threatening oma made Galuh who was standing behind Reza immediately rushed forward to the woman and immediately introduced herself.

“Happy birthday, Oma. I'm Galuh Nanda, friend Brother Reza.” Galuh kissed the back of oma's hand, which stared at her long enough. Then the woman's smile broke, with a happy face she told Galuh to sit next to her.

“Abang Reza?” Oma smiled meaningfully, “So my grandson is already her brother Galuh now.”

For the second time Galuh's cheeks blushed, especially when he saw Reza wink one eye at him. And oma seemed to be seeing that, and the woman suddenly just straightened her body and hugged Galuh's shoulder tightly.

“Did Reza show you the room that Oma has prepared for you to stay tonight while staying at this house?” asked oma with a serious face.

“Already Oma,” replied Galuh.

Galuh smile, “Suka Oma.”

“Good! Oma relieved to hear it.”

That night Galuh continued to be next to the oma, he accompanied the woman and was introduced to invited guests as his former granddaughter-in-law. Of course, it raises the stakes of those who hear it.

Soon a pair of elderly guests came along with Dio Mahendra, Papa Reza. They walked over to the table of oma who was sitting talking with Galuh and Reza.

Reza rose from his chair followed Galuh, while oma Ratna remained seated in his place. Dio smiled at Galuh and rubbed his head hair as the woman received a helping hand and kissed the back of her hand. Similarly, Reza who immediately hugged his father who ruffled his hair dear.

“How are you, Nak?” he said he was friendly to Galuh, then took a seat next to the woman.

“Good, Om.” Galuh smiled kindly, his heart warmed to find the sweet attitude of the Reza family and accepted it with open arms.

He understood now why Reza was so proud of his father. Although raised by a father because his mother had died first, but it is clear how the affection and familiarity that intertwined between the father and the child.

Galuh smiled at the elderly couple in front of him, who smiled back thinly at him. The two of them asked Reza more questions, asking about work and relationships.

Reza answered politely, and just as necessary when reminded by the couple about their granddaughter Indri who was Reza's college friend at the same campus. Every now and then Gio chimed in and replied to their questions in jest.

“Pak Hendra, young people today if looking for a partner not like our era, they are close not necessarily so. The term is friend but friendly, different from us. If you have often walked together, yes certainly already dating.”

“Origin don't get me wrong, now many women pretend to come closer and say love just to get what they want. Various ways are done in order to achieve goals, social status must be raised if you are a rich couple. Understand, being able to be close to a rich and successful man like Reza our child, must be very coveted by many women. Especially if it can captivate his heart,” said the man at length.

Actually the conversation between them was quite pleasant, but Galuh caught the harassing look in their eyes upon seeing it.

Their words tend to insinuate him. The appearance is indeed different from the guests who came that night, the dress is very simple although Galuh can not be denied looks sweet when wearing it.

Reza did not stay silent, he knew the couple in front of him wanted to bring their granddaughter Indri closer to Reza. Unfortunately Reza was reluctant to respond, it was seen that the man always involved Galuh every time he spoke and did not let the woman sit still.

There was something he asked Galuh, every male guest near them called his granddaughter's name.

Oma is more of a listener, sometimes she smiles and responds to questions from her guests about her health and diet so far. Because of oma Ratna, despite her age of almost seventy years still looks healthy and fit.

And when the couple said goodbye, and invited Reza to come to their house tomorrow, they did not look at Galuh or mention Galuh by name.

Then next, when other guests come and Galuh know them as successful entrepreneurs of this country whose faces he often sees from television or news he reads in magazines. Galuh is aware of the differences in social status that exist between him and Reza, although he knows until this moment the man never once had a problem with it in their relationship.
