If Tomorrow Never Come

If Tomorrow Never Come
Chapter 8. Piqued

Reza was sitting waiting for the waiter to serve his order at the fast food restaurant with his two friends, after talking long enough with one of his men in the office he felt hungry stomach and asked to be filled.

“Za, I've been around looking for shoes according to the color you requested. But not caught. Can order but have to wait another month new goods sent. The stock they have now is only black and red,” explained Aldy.

“We don't have much time, the match is this Saturday. There are still two days left.” Danil.

Reza circulated his gaze to one of the counters in front of where they were ordering food, his gaze then fell on a female figure who wore a light gray work uniform with a hairstyle in a high loop. A thin grin appeared on his face, he then pushed his chair back and rushed outside the room to coincide with the waiter who came carrying his food order.

“Za, Where are you going?” aldy asked, only answered with a wave of his hand.

Danil grimaced when he saw Reza walking into the gym shoe counter they had been to. “Still curious about that boy!”

Aldy followed Danil's line of sight, and soon his laughter was heard. “Ran Gue, many other counters but why Reza really likes to come to that place.”

“Lo amnesia? Who works in sono, a girl who refused to be escorted home Reza fit again rained on the side of the road. And another one, the girl who makes Reza cram the same Lo fit to be found again at the underwear counter.”

“Ish, that chick anyway. I remember now!” Aldy looked at the food Reza ordered before he ate his meal, potato paste and a bowl of soup. “Ran Gue, Reza can just eat like doang.”

Danil just laughs to hear it, “Udah regular times, let us eat it a lot.”

“Iya, anyway. if I have been limp from yesterday-yesterday if less protein intake,” said Aldy laugh back.

Meanwhile at the shoe counter where Galuh was working at the moment, he sighed rudely as he had to meet Reza back. With great self-confidence, the man sat in a long chair with his legs crossed, pointing his index finger toward the shelf on the wall displaying his chosen sports shoes.

“I need six pairs of football boots now. Three black, two red, and one blue!”

Galuh, who was standing behind Reza, tidied up the shoes on the shelf after some customers came to try to wear them, scrunched his forehead. He turned around, looking at the man before him with a sour face.

“Didn't you hear what I told you just now?” Reza repeated his order again, this time in a slow but stressed tone of voice.

Galuh tried to believe what she had just heard just now, she still stood waiting with a tense face. What if this man was really serious about his words and was not intending to prank himself anymore? The possibility could have happened, many did and Galuh has often faced the male model customer in front of him.

Moreover, looking at the attitude of the man who looked so relaxed when saying his wish, Galuh increasingly convinced the man before him just wanted to look around without intending to buy. He did not want to be fooled again like the last incident when they met a few days ago.

“Please select the items available on the shelf and try them out first. There are many color options as you mentioned just now. Sorry, I also have to serve other customers!” sahut Galuh who successfully made Reza link his eyebrows.

“Looks like I have to meet your boss, let him know how his men work in dealing with his customers!” reza said he was a threat.

“That's it,” reply Galuh with a challenging tone. “Again I did nothing wrong. Please you choose the goods on the shelf and try it first,” Galuh said repeating his words again. “Again the thick mustache is not in his office at this time.” Galuh muttered softly.

Not long after, a familiar male voice came rushing into his counter. Galuh gasped when he realized that Susilo sir, his superior was already standing before him with an angry face staring at him.

“Noah Nanda! This is how you serve customers?”

“Mak-sud Mr?” Galuh replied with a stammer.

“Do you want to get fired? Hurry you serve Mr. Reza, provide what he asks. I don't want to hear a single complaint reach my ears today. Do you understand Galuh Nanda?!”

“Practice, Sir.”

“I'll keep an eye on you there until you're done with your task of providing what your customers order today.”

“Ready, Sir!”

Galuh turned his face, staring back at Reza before starting to provide his ordered goods.

“Why look at me like that?” tanya Reza, “Let's relax. You just need to do your job well, and provide the goods as we ask. I assure you, the thick mustache out there wouldn't dare fire you.”

“Can't,” whispered Galuh, trying to be relaxed but there he even had trouble breathing. The man apparently heard his words when calling his superior by another name.

But not because of the presence of Mr. Susilo who stood upright in front of the door kept watching him, to make his breath falter. It was not because of the large number of orders that the man made his face stiffen suddenly. But the fact that he had to do his work alone made him intend to drive the man out of his sight.

Imagining him having to go back and forth to the warehouse takes the goods that Reza asked to make him sultry. But inevitably he had to do it, even though his heart was upset half to death.

His forehead and neck began to get soaked in sweat, his legs felt sore because they had to go up and down the stairs to pick up items on the top shelf in the warehouse. And as he expected, the six shoes that Reza asked for, only one of them he bought. Navy color as his request last time. With a sinless face, Reza came out whistling with the shoe box he bought.

With his face bent, Galuh walked out past Susilo to the counter where his two best friends were.

“Where are you going? It's still working hours. You don't see anything else on the busy you even want to go outside. Back there!” mr. Susilo's orders are firm.

Galuh jerk his hand right in front of his boss, with an annoyed face he said, “Bapak don't see what time it is? I'm hungry for rodi work just now!” galuh said no matter, he ran quickly while covering his ears.

Across her counter, Reza laughed at her bold behavior against her superiors. While glancing at his watch incessantly he laughed, “A interesting girl,” he said while staring at the shoebox in his hand.
