Chapter 11: The Disaster

Does God exist?

If you get such a question, Light will steadily answer, "Yes."

The evidence for that answer comes from a historical setting, the Great War of Ragnarok. A war involving humans, demons, demihumans, and angels thousands of years ago.

There were many injuries to the war. Blood, tears, can no longer be counted how many casualties arise from the war. One thing is certain, however, that the wrath of God is real.

As a result of the war that never ended, God sent disaster creatures that can even change the world order, causing the direction of the war that has lasted hundreds of years to change.

Even for the dragon race who have had hegemony and are bound by a contract with God not to interfere with life in the mortal realm, must be vigilant because of the magnitude of the power possessed by these creatures.

One by one, the heads came out from the fog. The monster's body was scaly, its size could almost be said to be half the size of the towering Rhine Mountains right behind it.

GRAAOOOOO!

The roar was deafening, throwing down the surroundings with tremendous wind pressure. The forest in a bald instant, the monsters that had previously preyed on the Arcadia soldiers also did not escape being victims.

Hydra, a nine-headed cataclysmic creature that resembles a dragon.

Light's death had been decided, it was impossible for him to defeat a being that possessed power on par with a dragon. He could only sit and be silent, staring at the masterpiece God created with eyes that had lost hope.

Although Light tried to escape, the attempt was nothing but futility. Even a breath attack from a single hydra head could easily destroy the Rhine Mountains that were behind it.

"My lord." Light heard the call with a familiar voice.

"Abigail?" Light in awe continued to look at Hydra, not once troubled by Abigail's arrival.

"Yes, my Lord." Abigail knelt down, her head bowed to her Master.

"Why did you come here?" Light's words pitched flatly, "Ah, are you worried about what I promised you?"

"No, sir, I have ensured the safety of my family in a safe place after carrying out your orders" Abigail replied.

Light smiled wryly, "In the end, didn't my plan end up in vain?"

"..." - ".Abigail fell silent, she couldn't help but because what Light said was an indisputable reality.

Light's plan to drown the Arcadia warriors as they go on a chase after Light launches a lightning attack ultimately only ends in vain.

Although the river water that had been dammed with a rush flowed and washed away whatever he passed, at most the current could only catch the goblins, orcs, and demon wolves. It was simply unable to stop the rampage of Hydra which had a body as big as a mountain.

"Well, why didn't you run away?" ask Light.

Abigail raised her head, "Because it will only end in vain?"

"Ah, right. I'll change my question, why did you come to see me?" Light turned to Abigail in surprise.

"I don't know..." Abigail had trouble answering, "I just thought you'd been buried in the ruins of the fortress."

Light glanced at the border fortress that had been flattened by the ground, "Rightly, I just noticed it." For a moment, he giggled in amusement, "Well, regardless of the response that did not answer my question at all, was everyone able to escape safely?"

"Of course, my Lord." Abigail sat right beside Light, looking at the reason for her imminent death.

Silence enveloped the interaction of the two. Second by second, they were willing, sitting waiting for death to pick up.

THE GRAAOO!

Just then, the two Hydra heads opened their mouths wide. Each one forms a collection of energy at its end. Seeing that, Light thought of a very strange idea.

"Where do you think Hydra's head is going to shoot? If you're right, I'll give you 100 gold coins." Light was half joking.

"Hmm, to the foot of the mountains, my lord." Looking at the muzzle of one of the Hydra heads that was about to shoot, Abigail guessed carelessly.

"If so, I'd guess the shot would have blown the mountain peak away." Light guessed originally.

The hot air was so pronounced that it made Light sweat in a few moments. Both no longer had any sense of danger.

BLAARR!

CLASH!

BLAARR!

Light and Abigail, each of their eyes wide open. The shot they had predicted to hit the mountain peak, somehow shifted and hit the foot of the mountain.

Taps.

"Impossible..."

Taps.

"Impossible..."

Taps.

"My money..."

Hearing the approaching presence, Abigail raised her vigilance and jumped up while taking a fighting stance.

Abigail understood that the figure who came to her had extraordinary strength that was impossible for her to defeat. On the other hand, Light did not care about the surroundings in the least and could only be bowed in lethargy as his guesses ended up wrong.

"My lord! It's dangerous, my lord!" Awakened by Abigail, Light turned around, finding a handsome red-haired man wearing a casual suit walking gracefully towards them.

However, his extremely contrasting appearance was merely a pair of horns that were on their heads. Although Light knew the absolute dragon was coming to them, he was no longer able to sense the danger of death due to the presence of the Hydra behind him.

"With the existence of mythical beings before you, none of you will ever feel fear of death. I'm really impressed with your kind, Man!" The dragon had a amazed face, sarcastic towards humans who were extremely weak in the eyes of the dragons.

"But he's a lizard, you know?" Light pointed at Abigail.

"Ap—what are you saying, My Lord?!" Abigail's panicking. To plead for death without pain was the lightest punishment when being disrespectful when faced against a dragon.

"Well, you're right." The dragon watched Abigail, unwillingly agreeing with what Light revealed.

"And. aren't you also of the same kind?" added Light wonder.

"What do you really want to say, boy?" The dragon smiled and held back his frustration, "I'll pretend I didn't hear it just for this time."

"Nobody cares about that, you know?" timpal Light's.

The dragon smiled withstanding his annoyance, turning his face into a serious one that made Light no longer able to say anything he wanted, "Let's head over to the main topic."

At that moment, the pressure emanated from the dragon, not allowing any of them to shut up, "Who is the cause of the cataclysmic creature to descend into the world?"

"Vampire. and it's possible that the demon lord is behind him." Light bluntly without hiding any truth.

"Hm." The dragon thought while holding his chin. He stepped up, passed Light as well as Abigail and observed the fight between Hydra as well as some of his subordinate dragons.

"I didn't know much about the details of the vampire clans, so I couldn't assume anything about it" Light added, as he and Abigail turned to follow where the Dragon was. For a moment, both of them were amazed by the fight that took place between Hydra and the dragons.

The Dragon also did not doubt Light's words. It is proven that Light does not show signs of someone lying, especially with the flow of mana that remains stable in support of his honesty.

While glancing at the two people behind him, the Dragon also did not think Light and Abigail were the real culprits, the weak strength they both had was enough to be proof.

As expected, vampires and demons have been toying with what they shouldn't touch...

If this is allowed to continue, future circumstances may not be able to be controlled anymore.

But, because of the agreement, we should not interfere with anything that happens in the mortal world... Otherwise, Gabriel will protest and do whatever he wants.

Still, it was impossible for me to let go of the mythical creature before me just like that. We do not want the destruction of the world.

All right, change of plans.
