Irregular Curved
Chapter 14: The Hidden

BLAARS!

A huge rock nearly twice the height of the average human was instantly crushed to pieces. Not only Light, even Abigail also had round eyes, shocked because she did not expect that the new power that Light had had had such an impact.

More than ten weeks have passed since Light regained consciousness. The white snow had evaporated, disappearing along with the warming air in the past few days.

For almost three months Light has been exploring the abilities he has acquired. At first, it wasn't easy to practice because Light would fall unconscious every time he used the circuit Jormungand gave him.

Due to having an obstacle in that regard, Light corrected his training mistake. He did not immediately use the ability, but Light started it from the process of feeling mana first.

Light also asks Abigail for help if anything happens to her because she is the only eyewitness who has seen her ability. He undoes his intention to tell the truth to anyone—including Eld and Gennes—because Light does not want their existence to be in danger if only the imperial reinforcements that will arrive in the next few days sense a gaffes.

Undergoing training with Abigail as the supervisor, the two ended up on the scene they fought Arcadia a few months ago.

Light had a difference of perception with the dragons if it concerned which type was used. Unlike the dragons who consider when the scattered mana is neutral, Light argues if what they actually use is "Eternal Mana," which type is the origin of all kinds of mana that flows in the pulse along with the blood of living things.

Of course, where it was neutral was just like what the dragons said.

If one were to use a lot of magic in a short period of time, that person would probably suffer from the symptoms of running out of mana or Exhausted Mana, symptoms that were generally characterized by the falling of his stings of a magic user.

By the time the magic user rests, his body will absorb the Eternal Mana from the surroundings and affect the mana so that it has a "color" like its owner.

The magic theory of this age has not even been able to explain the reason for the recovery of mana numbers if a witch rests.

"My lord." Slightly recovering from his shock, Abigail was about to check on Light's state right after using her new ability.

"It's okay, my body isn't as tired as it was the first time I used this ability." Light smiled wryly at Abigail, thinking her knowledge was one step ahead when compared to the magic professors of a university.

"I'm glad to hear that." Abigail revealed her relief, "How far can you use that ability?"

"Hmm, let's see." Mana spread out from Light's palm, flying high and fusing with the surroundings.

Hundreds of magic circles were formed, just above Light until it seemed to fill the sky.

Abigail, who saw the scene, was very panicked and tried to stop Light's actions, "Please stop, Tuank—"

The warning came too late. Lasting just less than three seconds, hundreds of plasterboard mana had been concentrated, darting towards the ruins of the border fortress that was now nearly level with the ground.

A BLAR!

A BLAR!

A BLAR!

The sky was dyed red, an extremely violent explosion shook the earth. Perhaps, Light's subordinates who lived in the interior of the forest felt a small earthquake caused by Light.

Abigail closed her eyes, afraid to know the repercussions.

The explosion was no longer heard. Slowly but surely, Abigail timidly looked at the scene before her, "Crazy..."

It was expected, now the ground has been hollowed very deep, much worse when compared to the previous condition.

Abigail firmly believed that a plural attack would be possible to destroy the largest ship the empire had with just one shot.

Bruk!

Light collapsed. Looking over and finding Light lying face down, Abigail could only sigh as if she had expected it, "Why are you exerting all your abilities, My Lord?"

"Don't you want to see all my abilities?" Light chuckles.

"Well... That's not what I meant..." Abigail lifted Light up and placed him on her back, no longer counting how much Abigail had carried Light who had pushed her abilities far beyond the limit.

"When are you going? Eld had told me that the imperial army would arrive in two or three more days." In a weak voice, Light said with his head resting directly over Abigail's shoulder.

"Are you sure of this, my lord? If it were the other nobles, they would use their slaves to death." Abigail chuckles.

"Well, I made a promise to you, didn't I? Rather than that, why are you still calling me with that ludicrous call?" Light felt disgusted.

"Because you are the only master who has ever treated us, the slaves, well" Abigail said.

Light did not answer. Both were in silence for a while.

Up through the forest entrance, Light broke the silence in a slightly heavy-sounding tone, "Hey, lizard."

"Yes, My Lord?" Abigail did not take that as an insult. To him, the racist call was proof of his closeness to Light.

"Where are you going to dock?" Light knew that Abigail, her family, as well as the slaves who were almost entirely demi-humans, would definitely leave the continent.

Since the influence of the empire that embraced human supermation was so great on this continent, it was not impossible that Abigail would go to Mothien, a country on another continent that does not see the demi-humans and races other than humans with one eye.

"We still don't know it." Abigail shook her head softly, "However, we will definitely not include the demon kingdom as consideration, even though we know in that country our race can be accepted easily."

"Ah, right. I just realized that the Lizardman belongs to one of the demon families." Light thought back to the knowledge he had gained in the academy library.

"Haha." Abigail laughed lightly in response, "It's possible, we'll choose to go towards Mothien first. There, we will reconsider whether we should settle down or go to another area."

"so." Light smiled in relief, "I'm glad to hear it."

The two talked lightly to see the village which is now their residence filled with smoke billowing. The remaining Light soldiers and subordinates had somehow accepted the existence of the former Light slave openly.

Preparing for the feast for the departure of the former slaves, the atmosphere of the village came alive. Thus with the celebration of spring, they decided the party should take place very festively.

Abigail who felt Light had fallen asleep on her back, only thinking that the shock that Light caused some time ago might not have reached the village. However, given the incident, Abigail understood that Light was a dangerous figure.

What would happen if Light joined Corthia and moved to rule the world?

Abigail was not impossible to raise a weapon against him. Moreover, given the events of that day, only the horrors Abigail could imagine.

Whether what has been done, be it limiting or locking down some of his abilities, Abigail understands that Light has not put all of his abilities into action. It was very different from that day where Light showed little signs of brilliance as his eyes emitted a red aura.

The entirety of his body trembled, Abigail would never forget that figure, a presence that appeared behind the dimensional crack that even the dragon god was extremely wary of.

Abigail tightly clenched her right hand, which was still free from holding Light's slightly heavy body on her back. He truly hoped that, should he be forced to face off against Corthia, he would not wish that in their midst there would be Light present as an enemy.

Not only because of a debt of gratitude, but also because of the pent-up fear that he had realized since then, when the dragons planted something that could shake the world.

Thank you, My Lord.

I will never forget your kindness, even if I am different from you.

If it wasn't for this debt of gratitude, I would have killed you while you were off guard since the chains of slavery slipped from my neck.

I'm sure, even for the best of individuals, you are an existence they don't want.

*Because actually...

You are very dangerous to stay alive*.
