Chapter 12: Mythological Creatures

"Son, try to beat that thing." The dragon throws something without a burden.

Both Light and Abigail's eyeballs were rounded. It was in their minds that the dragon in front of them was actually a creature with a head that was quite slanted, although both of them still did not let it out of their mouths.

"Ah, right. I'll tell you how you can beat him." The dragon corrected his words.

"Why don't you beat him?" Light looks reluctant.

"We're in a covenant with God, you know? If we subjugate him, it can already be said to be more than enough that the dragon race has interfered in the affairs of the world." The Dragon explained his reluctance, "We avoided it because we didn't want to deal too much with Gabriel."

"The existence of God is the truth..." Abigail muttered something as her mind ran towards strange things.

"What's my advantage?" Light tried to resist.

"Well, I didn't think you'd dare do business with us." The Dragon was a little upset.

"True, I can use that power whenever I want," Light added.

"You're not listening, are you?" The Dragon smiled hiding his frustration. Giving up, she felt exhausted talking to an ignorant person like Light, "Huh. alright. I won't take the risk."

"Be careful when my subordinates will fire their breaths." With the instructions of the Dragon, Light looked closely at whatever was happening with the fight in front of him.

"The breath we're breathingthe dragon—tbakan is actually a collection of mana, the technique is quite similar to the abnormal ability you have," explained the Dragon.

"When have you been paying attention?" Light questions the time of the Dragon's presence.

"Well, forget about that. If you pay close attention to it, the collected ones are colorless, then turn golden and end up red or black according to the affinity that the dragon has," added the Dragon.

"If it's not wrong, the golden color indicates a divine attribute, right?" Light examines the truth of the knowledge he possesses.

"Well, you're right." For some reason, the Dragon looked a little proud, "Then, why did the collected mana not have any color at first?"

"Why are you even asking me? Shouldn't you be teaching me?" Light was a little irritated.

"Ck." The Dragon clicked its tongue, "That is the one with neutral attributes, which has not been affected by spirit or sentient beings. This kind of mana was spread out in the wild even in the middle of the zero magic area."

"So, it answered why the Magic Area Nihility had no effect on the dragons at all..." Light amazed.

"Right, aren't we amazing?" The Dragon puffed out his chest, feeling proud of the advantages possessed by his race.

"Then, what are the advantages and disadvantages when I use which type is neutral? And also, how can I use that?" Light did not care about the Dragon at all, which disappointed him a little.

"Well..." The Dragon sighed, "Besides the necessity to have a special mana circuit, you just have to feel its existence."

"Did? That easy?" Light chuckles.

"..." - ".The dragon did not comment. Since he understood the ability that Light had when he saw his battle against Cartias, he did not need to teach a way for Light to sense which existence, "Alright open your eyes wide."

The Dragon brought his thumb closer after Light opened his eyes wide. The thumb was stuck right in the middle between his two eyebrows.

Just then, both of Light's black eyes turned red, the Renesse Family's pure blood resonating with the circuit that the Dragon had just given.

"Aackhh!" Light shouted in pain.

Abigail frantically tried to help, but she was restrained by the hand of the Dragon that would not allow her to approach.

"I never thought you were a direct descendant of the founders of the empire, boy." The dragon smiled wryly, nostalgia towards the old memories momentarily filled his mind.

Darkened.

Although Light had opened both eyes, he still could not see anything, feeling like he had been blinded.

Both Light's eyes emitted a faint red glow. On both his hands gathered mana with a golden aura that he had just changed.

"Well, imagine a magic capable of killing and sealing the power of Hydra and then attack."

Light's right hand raised, the mana in his hand rose to the point of breaking through the thick black clouds. The sight made the Dragon a little worried. He didn't think the sealing of Hydra required as much neutral mana as Light used.

GLAARR'S!

The sky dropped lightning. The black cloud vortex instantly shattered and was engulfed by an extremely viscous red aura, perhaps almost equalized by an extremely dense blood flow.

Cracks.

Cracks.

"Well, what have you really done?" The Dragon was worried, he did not know what Light was using with his neutral mana.

"My lord!" As Abigail glanced at Light, both of Light's red eyes were dripping blood. However, the Dragon kicked him as he was about to disturb Light's activity.

Cracks.

Crack dimension. From it, out fingers fingers fingers that want to open with force the crack.

"Ck, this can't be allowed any further." However, the actions of the Dragon stopped.

From within the crack, both eyes appeared red and slowly dripped blood right above the Hydra's existence. Seconds by second had passed, the droplets of blood seemed to be getting heavier, drowning and melting the Hydra to the point of no longer remaining.

Hydra's existence vanished, the dimensional crack in space slowly returned to normal. However, only the Dragon knew the truth, the figure smiled and whispered if he waited to be once again summoned back to the world realm.

BRUK!

As the body of the dragon's body faintly trembled, he glanced at Light's falling state held back by Abigail who ran over to pardon him.

I don't understand at all...

Although the Dragon was a living witness to the Great War of Ragnarok thousands of years ago, he has never seen the existence of the creature.

The Dragon took a deep breath, trying to calm down. Thoughts of ending Light's life right now, he wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do.

And also. I am bound by a covenant. I should not worry too much about a world that I have no power over.

Abigail laid Light on the level ground. The Dragon moved closer, telling him what to do, "Listen to me, Lizard."

"Y—ya, Your Majesty!" Abigail was very nervous, afraid of provoking her anger.

"Huh?" The Dragon was a little surprised. Very tired of interacting with Light as well as the events of a while ago, the Dragon decided to make it easy, "Jormungandr call me enough."

"Ba—well, Your Highness Jormungandr!"

"Well..." Jormungandr sighed tiredly, "Go away from this place as soon as possible and take care of the child. He will be in this state for a while. We dragons will take care of the rest."

"Ba—baik, Master! Sorry and see you!" Abigail quickly carried Light and left the Dragon in fear.

Jormungandr had strange eyes, he did not understand why Abigail was so afraid of him when Light acted like an idiot.

"Well, whatever, let's clean this place up before the troublesome matter comes bothering."
