Chapter.37 The Roundup 1

Feeling that no one wanted to invite her to join, Ivona still chose to sit in her usual place. He walked past Mr. Patrick and sat down near William.

"Aren't you going to join your friends to share a book?" mr. Patrick asked when he saw Ivona sitting at the table.

William who sees Ivona is confused looking for a friend to share the book wants to lend her book to Ivona. He knew that no one would share the book with the new student, because they hated Ivona so much.

However, not yet his intention was conveyed, Ivona had replied, "It's okay if there is no book, listening to Mr. Master's explanation is enough for me."

Mr. Patrick looked down on Ivona's attitude, he let his new student be as he wished. But he warned.

"You can join me if you want," bargained a fat man sitting next to Ivona softly but still heard by Ivona.

Ivona turned her head, watching the fat man who immediately lowered his head after inviting her to speak as if frightened. There is something strange about this man's attitude, he was afraid to invite Ivona to join him but he had good intentions to help Ivona.

Ivona shifts her stool to get closer to the fat man who invited her to join. "Thank you" Ivona told the man.

"I, Ivona," said Ivona, introducing herself as she extended her hand.

The fat man who had lowered his head earlier, tried to raise his face. He looked at Ivona with his eyes, for the first time anyone was friendly towards him in this class. Although still feeling a little afraid, the man welcomed Ivona's helping hand. "I'm Beny, Beny Clarkson" he said.

Ivona smiles in gratitude as someone offers to join her, and for Beny, this makes her feel valued as a fellow human being at this school. Before her friends had never treated her well, and Ivona showed different things.

Without them realizing there was Kelly staring angrily at Beny. She had hoped to see Ivona humiliated, because none of the students in the class wanted to ask her to share a book. However, the look on his face became grim when he saw Beny suddenly offering the girl to join. A sharp look was directed at the fat man who was next to Ivona. Kelly felt that Beny had interfered in his affairs. The fat monster dared to ignore his orders that he sent last night in the class group.

Yesterday night Kelly had spoken in the class group, warning everyone in the class not to be nice to Ivona, it was unexpected that someone would interfere in her affairs. And what was even more sickening to that person was the fat monster, the G-class loser.

The lesson begins, Mr. Patrick begins to explain every material in the book. No more noise until the lesson is over. There was a bell, the final sign of Mr. Patrick's lesson. All the students were scattered outside the classroom, but not with Ivona. He chose to stay in class. He doesn't want to do anything. Apparently, his intention should be undo when a schoolgirl comes to him.

"Are you Ivona?" ask a student who just got into class G.

Ivona looked up to see who was talking to her, then nodded.

"There is a message for you, your bag has been delivered to the security post and you must immediately take it," explained the woman, then say goodbye to leave.

Ivona seemed to think for a moment before finally getting out of her seat. He went to a place that had been notified by an unknown student. Turns out to be true, the bag is already in the security post. Ivona looked at the contents of the bag, there were textbooks as well as her school uniform.

William's words suddenly caused Ivona to stop her steps, and pay attention to the man she had been punished with.

"I've seen the monster inject something into his body" he continued. "Although I don't know what he put into his body, but you better stay away from him" William said as if commemorating Ivona.

Ivona stared coldly at William's warning. However, a second later he smiled faintly in response. He passed, not wanting to know more about the continuation of the story about Beny, which is not a business. Ivona continued walking down the corridor to get to class G. He deliberately took a lonely road to get to class G, although the result was the distance he traveled further, but he was calmer and more comfortable without a judgmental look from the eyes of everyone who looked at him.

When she reached the end of the quiet hallway, Ivona heard the sound of moans of pain from someone. Curious, Ivona secretly finds out. He was shocked to find Kelly bullying Beny. Not wanting to be rash, Ivona immediately hid in an invisible place to watch the action of Kelly and his friends. 

In addition to Kelly and his friend Jesicca, there were also two men who were kicking Beny. The fat man was already full of cold sweat withstanding the pain, and his body trembled at being subjected to brutality by Kelly and his friends.

"How, do you still want to challenge us?" kelly shouted right in front of Beny's face accompanied by mocking laughter from other friends.

"Here you go, why are you taking this monster to talk. He won't know our language, he can only understand if we punish him" said one man who kicked Beny hard enough.

"Right, this monster doesn't deserve to be in our class. We'd better get rid of him, and he's also useless. Monster loser!" One other man hit Beny on the head, as an insult to the fat man.

"Don't!" scream Jessica's Kelly's best friend. "If he gets rid of this fast, we'll no longer have a big toy like him. Where can we find a big monster like this to be our impingement" he said.

There was nothing Beny could do but give up being treated inhumanely by Kelly and his friends. He has no courage to refuse, anything else to fight those who always bully him. This was not even the first time he had been treated badly by his classmates.

Cacian which refers to his physical appearance is often the subject of jokes of his friends. They even called him a monster. Things that used to hurt when they heard it and began to get used to it because they often called it that way.

Beny, the poor man could only be bowed down to endure the pain in his stomach from being kicked by Kelly's male friend, and the heartache was so great because of their treatment of him all this time.

"What if you kneel before us and confess your guilt" Jessica said. The girl asked her friends for approval by looking at her one by one.

"We will forgive you if you do," Jessica added with a condescending laugh.

"You did not agree to let go of this monster if he wanted to go and plead with all of us and admit his mistake." Jessica's laughter.

"I don't think it's bad, as long as he admits his mistake for helping and being nice to the transfer boy while kneeling down and begging for mercy. I'm gonna let it go" Kelly said with power.

All nodded in agreement, and they all immediately urged Beny to do so. Kneeling on them and admitting the real mistake is not to blame.
