La Luna (Bias Asa)

La Luna (Bias Asa)
Chapter 52

"She...? "

"Yes, Uncle. He's the one who's making trouble with Luna." Stefan made clear Ellard's allegations.

"How did William know Ronald Peterson?I know he doesn't have a company in America."

"They have many branches in Italy, Uncle. And also one of the investors in the company I grew up in Italy."

"So, William only knew Ronald Peterson's face now?"

"What happened to Uncle?"

Stefan glanced at Ellard, the middle-aged man seemed to have let out a long sigh.

"Nothing."

Ellard recalled Luna's unfinished troubles with the Peterson family's heir. To defeat them, Luna's side is not enough to only bring evidence and money but also courage that many times.

"That means we have to work hard, Stefan. He won't let go of the luna case just like that. Although it was actually just a trivial case that was too exaggerated."

Stefan nodded. Approving the analysis of the uncle who can always be proven his prediction. Because if not exaggerated, the case of the disappearance of Angeline's diamond necklace should be completed by peaceful means.

"May I know why you turned him down? I see that girl is beautiful and also worth it to us. Your father was observant to see opportunities."

Ellard's smile scoffed. Dynastic marriages are still a favorite of wealthy families. But that doesn't apply to Ellard. The man whose life is harder than his older brother tends to be broader in his thinking.

"I like other people, Uncle."

Ellard's stunned. He could already imagine what kind of disagreement was going on between the father and the child. Moreover, both of them were stubborn people.

Yes, it only happened in the history of the Efrain family. Where Stefan put his heart on his own cousin. He likes Luna. If Luna was still alone, she would have asked Luna for her uncle.

"Oh, huh? That's good, don't be like Aglen whose lover just doesn't exist. Even to just pretend to have it in front of uncle, he can't do it." Ellard smiled wryly. I don't know at what age Aglen will end his bachelorhood.

Ellard had absolutely no intention of setting him up, as he kept his son's feelings in check. He doesn't want his children to be like him. Losing true love is only because of an arranged marriage. But it was certainly different what he did to Luna. Ellard felt a great need to protect her daughter, due to the dark events of the past.

"Who is he? Does uncle know him? Who knows uncle could help you soften your father's heart" Ellard bargained.

Stefan. His tongue froze to hear his uncle's words. A tempting offer if the woman he loves isn't Luna. Because the help offered cannot be underestimated.

"Emmmmm...." Stefan repeatedly scratched and rubbed the back of his head that was not itchy at all.

"Who!?"

When Stefan was busy thinking, Ellard turned to him.

"Unknown uncle. But, nevermind. Let me fight alone first. Someday, if I need Uncle's help, I'll say it. And Uncle absolutely must not refuse."

"I promise. I'll do as much as I can, Stef."

Stefan smiled bitterly, between happy and grieving. When everything will open about who he loves, and also the biological father of Elea, Stefan must have been battered by this man in front of him.

"Where is the lady going?"

"I have to go to the office, Bi. It's been too long since leaving him. Where's Papa? He didn't answer my phone at all."

Luna was furious because from morning, Ellard's phone could not be contacted at all. The woman wanted to ask her father about the development of the elea search.

"Maybe you are busy, or there is work that cannot be left behind, Madam," comforted the woman who always wore her glasses.

Years after Ellard, the middle-aged woman must have known a little about her employer's lunge. But it turned out that what he said was not the same as what Luna thought.

"Busy and there are jobs that cannot be left behind. It doesn't make any difference, Bi. What work makes Papa forget to tell. Stefan is the same."

Several times Luna dialed her cousin's number, and always got in the voice mail.

"If Mr. Stefan had contacted Auntie this morning. She asked the lady" said Ofelia's aunt, recalling Stefan calling her in the early morning in a hoarse and slow voice.

"The number can't be reached, Bi. Then I'll ask for a number that calls Auntie."

"Still in there, madam. I write it down for a moment."

Aunt Ofelia just went away for a while, and came back with a piece of paper.

"Please, Madam."

Luna accepts. But his forehead was wrinkled to see the numbers written by his butler's head. The same number stored on his phone.

Luna immediately lost her spirit. His shoulders sagged with the phone still perched in his hands.

"They still can't find him. How's things going, El?" muttered Luna softly but still heard by the butler who was standing not far from her.

"Miss Elea must be fine, ma'am. He's a strong boy," comforted Ofelia's aunt to hear the grievance of the master.

Though Luna hoped a lot for her father and cousin, if they would find the position of Elea. So that he no longer worried despite being under the threat of the kidnappers.

Luna just arrived at her office. He was welcomed back by the huge amount of work that piled up.

"I'm glad you're healthy again" said Emma, standing next to him.

"Thank you, Em. I'm doing fine. How's the company doing?"

Luna's eyes stared at the papers in front of her desk. Occasionally the woman put a signature on the files.

"Mrs. Stefan handled it well, ma'am. Today he also contacted us" Emma reported.

"really? Did you keep Stefan's number? Can I ask for it?"

Twice Luna gets a report if Stefan calls. But why his phone number is still not active.

"He called the office number, ma'am. And it looks like the number used is also not a mobile phone number" Emma replied.

"All right, you can come out. Don't forget to send me that number. Later if I need help, I'll call you back."

Emma nodded. Then the girl left Luna.

"Mr ... Stephen ... Where're you?" Many times Luna pressed the numbers of the two of them but the same answer still he got.

In her interview, the woman typed something into her mailbox and sent it to her father and cousin.

Stefan smiled, as he opened a message on his phone that he activated a few minutes ago.

Among the many messages that came in once 24 hours the phone was dead, there was one message that made her lips expand.

"STEFAN! TELL ME WHERE ARE YOU? WHY ARE YOU DISAPPEARING AND NOT TELLING US??"

All messages are written in large letters. Indicate the overwhelming anger and annoyance of the sender.

Stefan rubbed his face repeatedly. If only his shoulder was not injured, he would have immediately slid to meet the woman who sent the message. Even though he won't get a warm welcome.

"Baby ..." murmured Stefan.

"Uncle calls who?" Elea's voice surprised Stefan who was happy with his daydream.

"Are you awake, honey?"

The little girl nodded, then walked around and stood in front of Stefan who was sitting on the sofa.

"Thank you, Uncle saved me. Grandpa said, Uncle got hurt while taking me." Elea's glass-clear eyes were already hanging because the clear grain that filled her almost fell.

Stefan led Elea and took her in his lap. Then hold tightly the little girl of the lamp heart and half her life.

"Grandfather lied. Uncle was already injured long before he saved you. It's already okay. Just look at." Stefan patted his sore shoulder gently. Just wanted to prove to Elea that she was okay.

Behind his attitude, he endured the pain. The wound he was suffering from was quite deep, and his shoulder was slightly swollen. So even with a slow clap, it will hurt. It felt like something was moving quickly.

"Uncle?"

Elea notices Stefan's face which she thinks is strange.

The man he called the uncle smiled with narrowed eyes but hissed like he was holding something back.

"Uncle is okay, honey. Is El really healthy?"

"Already,Uncle. El misses out with Mama. We go home, Uncle," the little girl whined to Stefan.

"El's met grandpa, hasn't he?"

The little girl nodded. "Said Grandpa, El should be here first. Mama's out of town, so El's with grandpa. But this isn't my grandfather's house, Uncle," Elea protested.

"This is grandpa's house, honey. Already yes, El don't be sad. Let's play in the park," Stefan distracts Elea.

"But Uncle is sick."

"Uncle still has one more shoulder and two legs. Is that not enough?" stefan asked tease the little girl.

"Enough, Uncle. That's enough."

Elea pulls out Stefan's hand to get him to play.
