La Luna (Bias Asa)

La Luna (Bias Asa)
Chapter 66

"El, tomorrow we'll talk about martial arts. Now El's sleeping again, yeah. It's still very early in the morning, honey," Luna told her daughter. He glanced at the wall clock in Elea's room, which was still pointing at 4am.

Elea nodded. The little girl hugged Luna again and immediately closed her eyes.

It was a bright morning, but it didn't seem to be for the Efrain family. Each of the family members is preparing to return to America.

This morning, Aglen called. All preparations are ripe, at the latest tonight they can go home on a private jet that will also carry Stefan's body.

Luna was ready. He shares a suitcase with Elea. Because he can't stay there for long.

After cleaning up, Luna went downstairs. She was alone because Elea was still sleeping and Luna was reluctant to wake her up. Today there is no study schedule for the little girl, aka holidays.

Luna meets Aglen. They both headed to the dining table. Aglen's strange look this morning made Luna uncomfortable.

"Let's have breakfast first," asked Ellard who was apparently there waiting for the two children.

They sit apart. Aglen was to the left of Ellard, while Luna was to the right of the middle-aged man. And they eat in silence, only the sound of cutlery clinking regularly.

"Rem ... How are we preparing Ag?" Ellard opened the conversation.

"A hundred percent, Pa. I've asked my friend to keep an eye on Papa's company. Both of them," replied Aglen calmly. The man continued to eat breakfast the next morning.

"The Luna Company too, Ag. Who's gonna look after him when we're all in America?" Ellard reminded his son.

"There's Stefan's men in there, Pa. But actually ... Luna can't come home."

Luna. His throat was suddenly dry until he poured his drink until the remaining half.

Next, the two hands that were gripping the glass were increasingly tight. The woman just kept quiet without daring to ask.

Last night, he was restless guessing. Could it be that the reason was the same thing as he had in mind?

"Why can't it!? We all have to go home and get Stefan to his final resting place. Because only then will our thanks be for her."

Ellard wrath. Why did Aglen just say it on the day of their departure.

"Did Papa forget? Luna's status is still suspect. I even talked to his lawyer. And even on bail, he won't be allowed out of this country."

What Aglen delivered, was truly a heavy blow to Ellard, let alone Luna. Ellard forgot that his daughter was involved with Ronald Peterson's daughter.

But Luna was preparing. Although disappointed, the woman was still able to calm herself.

"I ... It's okay here. Most importantly, Stefan's body must be buried immediately. If all these problems are over, I'll be there myself, Pa," Luna promised Ellard.

The woman looked at the father, a feeble but trying strong gaze.

"Elea?"

"Let El come. Although he did not understand correctly, he would definitely understand later. I can't keep lying to him. By saying if Stefan...." Luna lowered. He was not willing to admit it.

The woman's hand quickly wiped away the clear fur that suddenly filled the corner of her eye.

Ellard limbo. He loved Stefan as much as his own son. Since childhood, Stefan has been closer to Ellard than his father.

The middle-aged man had been watching Luna. He got up and got closer, then stretched out his hand rubbing the fragile back that was shaking from holding back the cry.

Even today, Luna has not discussed her cousin with her father at all. But he can guess it from the words of his brother, his lawyer and his father. That they do not want to deliver this sad news. It's like everyone avoids talking about it.

"Leave some of your men with Luna, Ag. We can trust no one but our people" Ellard said, leaving the dinner table, with Aglen behind.

Ellard did not understand Luna's feelings. But the man gave his daughter space to calm down.

"You're cheating, Stefan. You forced me to forgive you." Luna pressed her forehead against the table and no longer held back her stuffing.

He doesn't know what to do now. Even Stefan's been helping her with anything all this time. And subconsciously the woman is comfortable with him, although several times they often argue because of Luna's hatred for their past.

Stefan saved Elea, and her life. But the man was the victim of this chaos.

Past events cannot be forgotten by Luna at all. The pain and hate in the man is still there today. But in the end he owes his life to Stefan and does not know how to repay him.

"What's this!?" shouted a fat man who was in his office.

The man threw a file at his daughter who entered the room a few minutes ago.

"Father! What_"

His lips froze looking at the figures printed clearly there. And some notes that explain where the numbers come down.

Although his glance and distance with the writing was quite far, but he finally understood.

"Do I have to cover this up again?" ronald Peterson asked with a fierce face.

The man who owns a famous jewelry company in Canada smiled cynically at his daughter.

I don't know how many times this is. Even Ronald got tired of all this.

"Pa...."

"What's!? You're the daughter of a successful and respectable businessman Ann! But you're stupid! Papa gave you a special higher education and personal access that other entrepreneurs' children could not get. And yet you disappoint. Why don't you copy your sister?"

"He's not my brother!" angeline shouted furiously. He never admitted that the son of the father's second wife was his sister. Because for Angeline, the two of them are the usurpers of her happiness.

"Shut up! With or without your confession they're still Peterson's. And Papa's decision is absolute. If you don't deserve to be the heir to our family, then he will be the one to replace her."

Angeline smiled bitterly in response. Something he was afraid of finally came out of his father's lips.

Ronald was a straight man at first. He was very loyal to his wife and loved his family. But the social life lived by the wife, as well as the wife's indifference to her, made a third person enter their household life.

"No, Pa! I'm his heir. I'm the first child and from Papa's legal wife. Then I am the one who has the right" cried Angeline in defense of her right.

The girl felt that her rights were threatened.

Though all this time, he deliberately made a fuss to seek the attention of the father. But it turns out the same. No meaningful results were obtained. Because the father is more concerned with his own good name.

"The decisive Father has the right or not. And don't call them other people. Because they are also legal in the eyes of the law, just like you. Look at! All this mess you've made, it proves who you are in front of Papa."

Again and again. Defense after defense came out of Ronald's lips smoothly. For the two people Angeline considers to be the destroyer of her life and the mother.

Angeline growled softly. The son of the father's affair who had been married without the permission of the mother was always compared to him.

"Papa is not fair! Papa pampered us with treasure, but Papa's heart only Papa gave them!"

"What's the difference between Papa and you? Papa comes home, no one is home. Your sick papa is indifferent. Only they care. Only those who faithfully took care of Papa until he was healed. You never even asked Papa. Do you remember if you had Papa?" ronald complained to his daughter.

Angeline speechless. The father's words are true. He was too busy thinking about his happiness and demanding his right to receive the affection of his father. But he forgets that there is take and give in every relationship.

It cannot be in any relationship that we simply demand to be loved, cared for, and served. Without taking the initiative to do it first.

The law of effect applies in any case. And Angeline never cared about that.

The girl looked down inside. Knowing his mistake was fatal for him, his family was also a good name that he had to take care of.

"Yesterday, you're just making trouble with the sneaks that don't cost Papa. Just telling people or giving them money can silence their mouths." Ronald turned his back on the girl.

He did not want to get out of control and instead hurt his daughter. Although Angeline had humiliated him many times.

With his hands behind his back, Ronald's face seemed to be full of hanging burdens.

"Do you never know who the Efrain family is?"

According to Angeline, the father's question is very funny. How could he not know, because even the father had betrothed him to Stefan son of William Efrain.

"Is Papa kidding me?" Angeline asked back. The girl felt that there was nothing wrong with her about the Efr family;ain.

Ronald breathed a heavy sigh. The man regretted the actions of the child who did not know at all who the opponent he was sent.

"Maybe. Open your phone and find news about Efrain. Your father plays occasionally in Ann's black world, but Papa respects people who respect Papa. Whoever it is! Especially the big guys in the class of efrain," said Ronald who still refused to meet face to face with the child.

Angeline pulled out her phone. Though lazy, but the girl complied. Because he did not want his father to be more angry with him.

The manicured lentils quickly shifted some of the news that emerged about the family that would make him the son-in-law.

Angeline's eyes are breaking. Apparently Thomas and his children left a long digital trail. Portraits of heroism as well as some horrors if dare to make trouble with them. Moreover, the girl knew was the father of the woman he was stripping his life.

"It-it's... Is all this right, Pa?"
