Chapter 51: The Battle of the Servants

Marie sent a chain to wrap around a pole, while she swung to avoid the arrow that was after her.

Just as he landed, he immediately hid behind the building. His opponent was quite a troublesome person, one who had lanterns and was the mastermind of all the chaos in this capital.

He belongs to the dark guild known as Scot.

He said confidently after taking off the blindfold he had been wearing all along.

"Do you think you can get away from me, it's a pity that these eyes can see through anything."

Scot's own eyes look like the eyes of an eagle, as Marie was about to move an arrow through her thigh giving intense pain to her body.

He slightly shouted before returning to hiding then pulling her out.

"How did he know?" what he's thinking right now.

Marie tore off her clothes which were waitress clothes before wrapping them around her thigh to stop the bleeding.

When he looked to the side two arrows shot at him back, it was fortunate that he managed to dodge them. Besides being able to see he also had the ability to control his arrows. It was obvious that this was a top-tier ability for a person who had a long-range fighting ability. If so, there is only one way to break through.

Ignoring Marie's pain came out of hiding and ran towards Scot.

"You're desperate little girl, and your death will come sooner" he said.

Based on the direction of the initial shot Marie could predict that Scot was now right in front of her, 200 meters away from her and was in the tallest building.

The arrow shot at Marie, she did not dodge but instead used a chain wrapped around an iron ball to smash it all at once.

It exploded in the middle.

Not stopping there the same three arrows are anticipated the same way.

"Hoh, you can hold it in, then what about this?"

Scot placed three arrows on his bow and then shot them together.

Marie was struck by two of them in her legs and in her heart.

"It's over."

"What's that?"

The original figure of Marie appeared behind him giving a hard blow to the side of Scot's body until he was thrown to the side.

"Guakhs."

Blood gushed from his mouth and he tried to get up.

"How can you?"

"I used mana to create a replacement body while, arguably doubling down, I originally wanted to use this technique when I was overwhelmed in my work as a servant but unexpectedly had to use it like this."

For Marie this is the only way, there is no gap from Scot show, he was born as a hunter but when this method is used he was checkmate.

Marie pulled out a knife hidden in her thigh featuring a gater belt connected to her socks as well as a part that was invisible to anyone.

"Wait a minute, what if you kill me then the existence of the lantern will never be found and Orifiel will still be like that."

Marie smiled as she replied.

"Don't worry, we already know that the lantern can't get too far from the target, at least, it's in one corner of this city isn't it, my friend has been looking for it. Now pay for your crime."

"You-you?"

Jamb.

The knife struck Scot's head well before he fell from a height. Kila who appeared with a flick of her tail looked at it wryly.

"He's really dead."

"Then how's the lantern?"

"Had taken care of Yue, soon I think he can find her nyan. More than that we should treat your wound nyan."

"I think so."
