Chapter 22 - Legends of All Time

"Come out or I'll drag you from there" I said, giving a little emphasis.

Fearfully, there was suddenly a small elf coming out from behind the big tree that was in front of me and Drian.

When I first saw the figure of the little elf, Drian and I were immediately shocked, considering that being able to meet the elf race was an experience that was fairly very rare.

"Ma-I'm sorry .. orong ..olong forgive atu (Sorry, please forgive me)."

The voice of the little elf sounded like the voice of a frightened child. Not only his voice, but his body gestures also clearly showed that he was terrified.

"Yan, aren't you?" my many.

Drian shook his head.

I asked that to ascertain if Drian also heard what the little elf had just said, recalling the time the little elf spoke, I felt exactly the same sensation as the sensation I used to feel when I met a monster in a lake on the outskirts of Borneo.

I then asked the little elf in front of us, "Why are you here? Did you kidnap Lusi?"

"Idak .. atu .. oru uma want to nyametin him. He was a bit (No .. I .. I just wanted to save him. He was falling down earlier)," the little elf replied in a trembling voice, like he was frightened.

"So you're here to look after him?" ask me while smiling kindly.

The little elf immediately nodded his head, still with a frightened look.

As far as I know, the elves are a race known as the best race in the world. Although in fact they are considered much stronger than humans, but they will prefer to avoid if they meet humans. That was why, the elf race was extremely difficult to find.

On that basis, I could immediately believe the words of the little elf before me without needing to confirm it any further, even though I myself did not know the truth.

"So so apparently .. thank you for saving and looking after our little Lusi," I said with a friendly smile, and the little elf replied with a nod of his head.

"Vin ...." Drian who was holding Lusi suddenly looked at me. He seemed like he wanted to ask what I had just talked about with the little elf in front of us.

I also began to explain what I had just talked about with the little elf.

"So he saved Lusi? He also intentionally stayed here to look after Lusi?" ask Drian.

"That's what he said," I replied.

"Kok you can shake it? The cave is not horrified at all" Drian said.

"Where the cave tau .. may have been born," I replied.

"Fix .. ni lo must be their ama," said Drian.

"Nhugacok you!" my reply.

I then again asked the little elf before us, "What's your name?"

"Zaltan .. amaku Zaltan (name of Zaltan)," he replied timidly.

"Zaltan ... Where do you live?" my many.

He was silent, like a confusion to answer.

"Do you have no place to live?" my many.

The little Zaltan nodded.

"Where are your parents?" my many.

"Dad ... Mother ... meleka in furry manutia (they hunted men)," she answered with a look that described deep sadness.

I'm really sad to hear that.

How hard it feels, a boy as innocent and as small as he has to live and survive in the forest alone while continuing to hide from the pursuit of humans 'Sick' who intend to hunt and sell them to humans 'Sick' other.

As far as I know, because it has a very extraordinary beauty, many 'Sick' humans are willing to pay dearly for the sake of being able to own and make the elf race as their 'Collection Item' and 'Pets', as well as their 'Pets, so that it triggered a massive hunt against the elf race.

As a result, the elf race was forced to live in hiding and continued to move around to avoid the hunt.

"Vin ...." Drian who was holding Lusi back looked at me, and I explained what I had just talked to Zaltan.

After hearing my explanation ...

"Do you want to live in our village?"

Drian suddenly offered little Zaltan to live together in the village.

The little elf looked hesitant and afraid to answer.

"Not to be afraid ... We have no bad intentions. We just don't want you to continue living alone in the woods. It would be better if you stayed in the village with us. There's a lot of kids you can play with" I said, trying to convince him.

"We will definitely guarantee your safety. We promise!" drian.

The little elf who initially looked frightened, now began to look calmer.

"Maybe?" asked Zaltan in a cute voice typical of a child who has just learned to speak.

"of course. From now on you are part of our family. You can call me Brother Alvin" I said.

After hearing my words, Zaltan, the little elf immediately looked very happy like a child who had just been given a gift, while me and Drian just looked at him with a happy look.

I then took Zaltan away from there, but he had trouble walking.

"Is your leg sprained?" askaku, and Zaltan nodded.

"Yes, here let my brother carry," I said, and began to carry the tiny body of Zaltan on my back.

After that, we started to leave the place.

Carrying little Zaltan on my back, I asked, "Are you a man or a woman?"

"That's lati-lati (I'm a man)," he replied.

I asked that because on the one hand, this Zaltan has a face contour similar to that of a boy, but on the other hand, his overall appearance is similar to that of a girl, so it confused me.

"How long have you been living alone in the woods, Zaltan?" asked Drian who was walking beside me while holding Lusi.

Zaltan bent one finger at a time, as if he were counting, then replied, "Ten years."

"Ten years?" We were quite surprised to hear it.

"Eemm .. selatus years (one hundred years) ...?" He replied with a doubtful tone.

"What The F*** ..!" We were really shocked to hear it.

We did know that the elves race had a very long lifespan, but we really did not expect that such a small elf turned out to be a hundred years old.

Then, how old are the adult elves?

On the way back, I also asked about how he had managed to survive alone in the forest all this time.

Zaltan then explained that he had been living moving from one forest to another.

In order to survive, he used to eat fruits and some types of edible leaves.

Afterwards, I asked her about how she ended up helping Lusi?

He explained that the first time he reached the mountain where we were at this time, he accidentally saw children playing in the meadow.

He also said that he was very happy when he saw the orphanage children who were playing together.

He really wanted to play, but he didn't dare to show himself. He was afraid that the children would run away after seeing him.

As a result, he could only observe the children who were playing from a distance.

Not long after, he saw Lusi walking up the mountain, and unexpectedly, Lusi suddenly slipped and started rolling down the mountain.

Without a second thought, Zaltan who was not far from Luci immediately rushed over and hugged the body of Lusi to help him.

As a result, the two of them began to roll over and hit whatever they were going through as they rolled down the mountain.

While rolling down the mountain, Zaltan tried to protect the body of Lusi with his own body.

Until in the end, they came to a halt after hitting a large tree.

When they finally stopped rolling, Zaltan discovered that Lusi was fainting.

He actually wanted to bring Lusi to another child, but unfortunately he could not because his legs were sprained, making him unable to walk.

As a result, all he could do was stay there while guarding the unconscious Lusi until someone discovered the whereabouts of Lusi.

After hearing Zaltan's explanation, I returned to thank the little elf.

"If it wasn't for you, we didn't know what would happen to our little Susi. We are truly grateful," I said, while Zaltan only responded with a nod of his head.

...

Long enough to walk, we finally met with a group of fathers.

"Well, that's them!" shouted one of the fathers when he first saw our arrival.

Mr. Village Chief, Uncle Santoso, Uncle Gary, and other fathers immediately ran over to us.

"Is he okay?" ask Uncle Santoso, Drian's father.

"He's not papa sir, just fainted," replied Drian.

"Where did you find it?" ask Uncle Gary.

"There," I replied pointing to where we found Lusi.

"Thankfully ..we are really relieved that Lusi is fine," said Mr. Village Chief.

"Hoi, who are you carrying?" javier asked who was aware of Zaltan's whereabouts.

I then introduced Zaltan to everyone and explained everything that had happened.

"So ..he saved Lusi?" asked Uncle Santoso after hearing my explanation.

"Yes, that's how it is," I replied.

Uncle Santoso then looked at Zaltan with a friendly smile, then said, "Thank you, Zaltan. You're our hero."

Zaltan nodded his head, but still timidly.

In addition, I also explained about us who intend to invite Zaltan to live together in the village.

"So how, Mr Village Chief? Can he stay with us?" my many.

The Village Chief was silent for a moment, then hit my head.

"Based on a stupid kid! Why do you even have to ask about that? Of course I can. Instead, I will beat you up if you let him stay in the forest alone," said the Village Chief.

Not only Mr. Village Chief, but Uncle Santoso, Uncle Gary, and other fathers also welcomed our intentions.

Honestly, I am very happy to be surrounded by good people like them.

"Well, let's go back to the village" said Uncle Gary.

That night, we ended our search and returned together to the village because Lusi had finally been found.

While on the way back, Javier who was walking beside me suddenly asked, "Hoi, are you sure you want to bring this elf to live in the village?"

"Why indeed?" my many.

"Yes, you know ...? Elves are one of the main targets of hunters. If they find out there's an elf in this village, they'll do everything they can to get it."

Casually, I replied, "I even dare to bring and guarantee your safety, then why should I be afraid just for bringing elves to the village? After all, I also couldn't possibly let a child this small stay alone in the forest, well, even though it was actually. If there's anyone who's desperate to make trouble in the village, I won't hesitate, even if life's at stake."

Javier was silent for a while after hearing my words. He looked back, then asked, "What do you really want to do with your village? I mean, why would you dare risk your life to bring and guarantee my safety and that little elf? I heard from some of the residents, you also just brought the children of the orphanage to move here. Why did you get that far?"

Holding Zaltan, who was sleeping on my back, I replied, "I have a dream. One day, I want this village to develop into a place that everyone deserves to live in, without exception. I want everyone who lives in it to be happy. Although I actually know that it's impossible, but at least I'll keep fighting and trying to make it happen, whatever the stakes."

Javier suddenly lowered his head with a smile after hearing my answer.

He then laughed and said, "You're a really interesting kid."

"really?" my many.

Javier just smiled and looked at me.
