Legends of All Time
Chapter 35 - Legends of All Time

This morning, I and all the members of the Quantum Guild prepared to leave for Lisbon City, the city where we were going to play our first match.

However, as usual, before we left, the entire village gathered at the border to release our departure.

"All of you, be careful on the road" Bibi Nur said.

"Don't get weird there, especially you, Vin," added Aunt Septi.

"Please, Bik. Safe, safe," I said.

"Bang Vin, Bang Yan, don't lose! If you fail to become champions, I'll call you losers!" said Heri, the orphanage child I previously described has a spicy mouth and honest nature.

"Yes ...! Lose ...? Your brother will never lose!" reply with confidence.

"Sister Vin, Brother Yan, Brother Ngel, their friends, fight (everything, fight)," said Zaltan who was holding the hands of his father and mother.

"Just calm down, Brother will definitely return with victory," I replied.

In addition to saying goodbye to the villagers, I also say goodbye to Fenrir who was watching us from the top of the mountain.

"Fenrir, I entrust this village to you while we are gone. Please take care of the village and everything" I thought as I stared at the mountain where Fenrir was.

"Who do you think I am? As long as I'm here, no one will be able to touch your little village" Fenrir replied.

Although Fenrir is not here, and our distance is also quite far, but he can still hear my thoughts.

Satisfied with the whole village, we started to leave the village.

As we moved away, we continued to wave and shout, "See you, everyone!"

Meanwhile, the villagers also continued to wave their hands while shouting.

"Fight, all of you!"

"Don't lose!"

...

After traveling for one day and one night without stopping, we finally reached Lisbon City.

"Wow, this city feels so much more crowded than before" I muttered as I looked at the guild-guild flag trinkets that were about to enter the Guild War tournament.

The flags are displayed in various corners of the city.

"Guild War is the annual grand feast. So, it is natural that the cities that host decorate their cities with various kinds of tournament knickknacks," said Pak Warto.

"Hey, look! It's not that our guild emblem!" angel shouted while pointing at the flag bearing the symbol of 'Q' crowned with gold displayed on the roadside, among hundreds of other flags.

"Well, it's so proud to see our emblem here too" I said.

We then started touring the city to enjoy the excitement of the annual party.

Satisfied to go around, we went straight to the international guild association to re-enroll our participation in the tournament.

After all the process was completed, we were directed to one of the best hotels specifically reserved for guild members participating in the tournament.

Since our inaugural match schedule is held tomorrow, today we only spend time resting in hotels and occasionally walk around the city to enjoy the excitement of the annual grand party.

...

The next day, we all left for Muncen Stadium, the stadium where our first match was played.

"I thought it would be a lot more, apparently not."

When I was on the bench, I was quite surprised because at first I thought there would be a lot of people coming to watch, but it wasn't.

The stadium where our match was held was empty of spectators. There were only a few people seen sitting in the corners of the stands. The number can be calculated with the fingers.

"This is just the first stage group stage. After all, the one competing was also not a superior guild. So, it is natural that the audience is quiet. At best, those present are only scouts from large guilds who want to find superior talent" replied Shelly who plays our team manager.

...

On the other hand, after seeing the members of the Quantum Guild, the guild that would be their opponents at this match, the Scorpion Guild members who were preparing on the bench began to comment.

"They all look very weak," said Guyon, the roaster of the Scorpion Guild, gazing across the field, to the bench where the members of the Quantum Guild gathered.

"I heard, their guild only formed a few days ago. Look, their suits are still plain. That means they don't have any sponsors at all" said Jeje, Scorpion's roaster Guild.

Smiling dismissively, Tere, the Scorpion Guild roaster, added, "They also only have ten members and three managers. That means they don't have a lot of backup players."

The reason Tere said that was because normally a guild had twenty members demoted in the tournament.

"It's definitely going to be an easy game for us" Guyon said.

"Don't underestimate the opponent. We never know what might happen" said Yandex, Scorpion's Master Guild.

*Roaster \= Regular member.*

...

In this match, we went down with me, Drian, and Angel, while the opponents went down with Yandex, Jeje, and Guyon.

Before the game starts ...

"Please prepare for each position."

The referee who will escort the match asked us to prepare in their respective positions.

As we prepared for each other's positions, me and my teammates in the left corner of the field, while the three opposing fighters in the right corner of the field, the referee escorting the match immediately shouted, "Start!"

Right after the first set started, Drian and I immediately stomped our feet firmly to the ground and started to dart forward at high speed, while Angel stayed behind, staying behind, considering he is a support type.

While running towards the middle of the field at high speed, I began to coat my katana with extreme cold temperatures, to make my katana emit thick white smoke puffs.

While Drian, he also began to coat his katana with his light attribute, to make his katana emit a yellow light that is quite dazzling.

Drian then used his special technique, Thone Rose, a technique of slashing at high speed like lightning striking.

With lightning-fast slashes ....

Slink! Slink! Slink!

Drian managed to slash through all three of the opposing fighters with three quick slash combinations.

"Jeje out! Guyon's out!" shouted the referee.

Jeje and Guyon were declared out because the durability bar in their suits had reached 0%.

Meanwhile, the Guild Master had managed to survive the combination of lightning slashes that Drian slashed because the durability in his suit still left 10%.

When both members immediately fell down, even before they could respond, the Scorpion Master Guild was able to react, although it did not fully manage to withstand the damage Drian had inflicted.

...

"What's that speed? How can it move that fast without losing control at all ...?" thought Yandex, the Scorpion Guild Master while putting on a high alert, anticipating just in case there was a follow-up attack.

Undeterred by his shock, Yandex, the Scorpion Guild Master, had to face Alvin who was already preparing to attack him with a frozen katana slash.

Yandex directly swung her sword to fend off the slash.

When his sword starts to come into contact with Alvin's frozen katana, it freezes.

While he was fighting with Alvin, Drian suddenly prepared to slash him from the side.

Yandex wanted to draw his sword, but unfortunately, his sword was attached to Alvin's katana due to the freezing, making him unable to use his sword to fend off Drian's slash.

As a result, because it did not have time to evade or fend off Drian's attack ...

A slash!

"Set clear!" shouted the referee.

Yandex must catch up with the two members who have been eliminated first because the durability bar that previously still left 10%, has now reached 0%.

With the fall of the three Scorpion Guild fighters, the points in the first set officially belonged to the Quantum Guild.

"Yesse!" Shelly immediately shouted happily while clenching one hand when she found out her guild had managed to get the first point.

As well as Shelly, Warto and others also had fun welcoming their first points.

Although it was only one point, but it was an extremely valuable point, considering it was their inaugural point in the Guild War tournament.

...

While walking back to the bench, I patted Drian on the shoulder as I said, "Nice, Yan."

"I thought it would be harder" murmured Drian.

"I'm proud to be a child!" muttered.

"Both of you, good work" cried Angel who ran over to us.

We walked back to the bench together.

...

On the other hand, while walking back to their bench, Jeje and Gorgon were busy grumbling.

"What the fuck was that? Why is that boy moving so fast?"

"I can't even see his movements at all!"

"That's why, I said don't underestimate them" said Yandex, the Scorpion Guild Master.

"Did you know this was gonna happen?" ask Jeje.

Yandex fell silent for a while, then replied, "Before the match started, I had already felt a very strange air from them. I don't know what kind of air I'm feeling, but my instincts tell me they're very dangerous."

"Cih, so they're not beginners, are they?" muttered Guyon.

...

Arriving on the bench, Hansel, Viona, and Miss Shelly greeted us with a glass of water.

"Good work, all of you. Here drink. You must be tired, right ...?" mama Shelly said as she offered me a glass of water.

"Yes, thank you, Ma'am," I said, picking up the glass that Ms. Shelly had shoved, while Drian and Angel took the glass of water that Hansel and Viona had offered.

...

Switch to one corner of the stadium stands.

There, a scout from the Alabama Guild, one of the best guilds in the entire country, began writing on his paper muttering, "The possessor of the light attribute and ice attribute. If I can withdraw and recruit them to our guild, I will definitely get a big bonus."
