Finished with the recruitment business of the guild members, Drian and I separated.
From here on out, we will focus on our mission.
Drian along with Miss Shelly and Viona will go to the capital to take care of the needs and the process of establishing the guild.
Drian also invited Sister Shelly and Viona because both of them understand a lot about the process and the needs of the establishment of the guild, so the existence of both will greatly help Drian who does not know anything.
As for me, as planned, I will still go alone to the Himalayas in search of the whereabouts of the Fenrir Wolf.
To get to the Himalayan region, I had to go through a long journey for three days and three nights through valleys, forests, and rivers.
On the way, I stopped several times and rested in the city or village that I went through to just eat and sleep.
I can't stay too long in every village or town I've been through because I have to come back before the Guild War starts. At maximum, I only have one month, more than that, inevitably, I must forget about this mission and prioritize Guild War.
After traveling for about three days and three nights, I finally arrived at a small town called Lagoon.
Lagoon is the closest city to the Himalayan Mountains. Although it is called the nearest city, but the distance is quite far, about 50 kilometers from the Himalayan Mountains.
There was nothing special about this city, the buildings were ordinary, the atmosphere was also quiet, and not many people lived here.
Most people who live here wear thick clothes because the temperature here is quite cold, considering the city is on high land.
When I first entered the city, the first thing I did was to ask some people about the whereabouts of the Fenrir Wolf.
However, instead of answering, most of the people I met instead thought me crazy for recklessly searching for one of the seven Great Catastrophic Monsters. They thought my actions were the same as suicide.
As a result, I did not get any useful information.
At first I thought it would be easier to find information directly from the nearby villages of the Himalayas, but it wasn't. Not information, it's the insults I get.
Having not received any useful information, I was determined to go to the Himalayas without any information.
While walking under shady trees, towards the Himalayas, I thought, "About a month is enough, huh?"
I was thinking like that because I was worried that this mission would drag on. In the worst case scenario, this mission might end in failure.
Based on the information I got from Zaltan, Wolf Fenrir almost never showed himself to just anyone, even to his fellow monster race once. He would only meet people he wanted to meet, and would never meet people he did not want to meet. Therefore, I can only hope that Wolf Fenrir will come to see me, because otherwise, it is clear that my mission will end in failure.
After a long walk through the wilderness, I finally reached the Himalayan Mountain Valley.
"So .. is this the Himalayan Mountains?" I muttered in amazement as I saw the towering mountains covered in eternal snow before me.
Even though I didn't even know my purpose, nor did I know what to do to meet the Wolf Fenrir, I was still desperate to climb the mountain.
Long enough it felt like I was climbing the rugged terrain covered with eternal snow, even without me realizing that the day had changed the night, I had not yet reached the peak.
Since the day had changed night, plus the air was also getting colder, I decided to build a tent and spend the night there, before going back up to the top tomorrow. Not to forget, I also made a bonfire in front of the tent to warm the body.
"It's a good thing I'm ready" I murmured as I warmed up near the campfire.
I do have temperature attributes that can control temperature at will, but that doesn't mean I'm immune to extreme temperatures at all times. I was only immune to extreme temperatures when using my attributes. Otherwise, I am no different from humans in general.
The atmosphere of the night was completely quiet, so lonely that it made my ears buzz.
Perhaps because there is no insect or animal that can live here, considering the climate here is very cold, and the region is also always covered with eternal snow, so it is natural that no sound of insects or animals enters my ears.
In the midst of the silence, I suddenly felt the atmosphere of the night that was originally peaceful sentosa, immediately turned gripping.
While I was warming myself in front of the campfire, suddenly there was a gust of wind that hit my body from behind. I'm sure that the gust must have come from the snort of a savage beast.
Besides, I can also clearly hear the sound of animals growling. Not wrong, it was the sound of a wolf, but the difference was much more fierce.
This was the domain of one of the seven Great Cataclysmic Monsters, the Fenrir Wolf. If it's true that the one behind me is a monster, it's definitely Fenrir.
While trying to stay calm, even though my whole body was trembling, I said, "Fenrir, I came all the way here just to talk to you."
While growling and snorting, until the gust that hit my body made my hair stand upright, the monster behind me replied, "What do you care? Quickly leave right now before I change my mind."
The monster's voice felt straight into my mind, like telepathy, and also, it sounded really fierce.
Still without looking, I said again, "Come on, just for a second. I really just want to talk to you."
Although faint, I could hear that the Wolf Fenrir was suddenly chuckling, for some reason.
"Man ... So you can hear my voice?"
I nodded slowly, still without looking.
In a happy voice, Wolf Fenrir added, "A hundred thousand years .. a hundred thousand years I have lived here, but only this time there have been humans who have come to talk to me."
The grunts that had previously hit my body, suddenly started to feel like they were moving away.
I took it as a welcome, so I started to dare to look back slowly.
After looking back, my eyes immediately widened as a result of seeing two giant golden eyeballs that shone brightly in the middle of the night darkness.
"Why, Man? Are you scared?" ask the Wolf Fenrir.
While trying to cover the dumbfounded look, I replied, "No .. I just didn't expect that you turned out this big."
I indeed could not see the form and appearance of the Wolf Fenrir directly due to the limited light at night, plus, the fur also seemed to be black, so that it makes it perfectly disguised in the middle of the night darkness.
However, just by looking at the size of his two brightly shining eyeballs breaking the darkness of the night, I could tell that the wolf that was now in front of me was of a very large size, it was so big it made me look like an ant in front of him.
I estimate, his height may be as high as fifty meters.
With such a large size, I was really surprised, why he could be difficult to find.
"What do you want to talk to me about?" ask the Great Catastrophic Monster.
"I want you to stay in my village as well as be the protector of my village" I replied.
The wolf looked at me sharply, then asked, "So, you want to make me the guardian animal of your village?"
"No, I just want you to be a part of my village" I said.
"I'm not interested. Now go before I completely change my mind," The Wolf Fenrir said with a growl.
He seems upset because of what I said. Even so, I don't want to give up just like that.
"You've been living here alone for hundreds of years. You must be lonely, right? If you're willing to stay in my village, I guarantee you won't be lonely anymore" I persuaded.
"Don't equate me with humans. Whether it's hundreds, millions, or even billions of years, I'll never feel lonely" replied Wolf Fenrir.
"No need to lie. Then why are you so happy talking to me? You must have never had a conversation partner in a long time, right?" my many.
The Wolf Fenrir suddenly chuckled, then said, "You are so sharp, Man! If you really want to make me the guardian animal of your village, you should be able to defeat me."
I smiled happily too.
Although fighting him is not my main goal, but if that way I can bring the Great Catastrophic Monster to the village, then I will gladly do so.
As I began to draw the katana from the sheath, I said, "I don't really want to do this because I know I will definitely lose, but it doesn't seem to hurt to try."
While pointing at my power, I added, "Take a look, Big Wolf!"
